I was also surprised of the nightlife, it was more vibrant then Spain tbh, i've been to Gammarth where there is so many night clubs and lounges and the streets are crowded untill the morning, i've been told by the locals that there are plenty of night life cities like Hammamet and Sousse but i didn't have the time to discover it
I think you're exaggerating a bit here, I've never seen crowds come morning anywhere in Tunis, mostly because there are no streets with a high density of bars.
I'm Tunisian, and I can tell you and confirm that the nightlife here is really vibrant, from the center to Gammarth, you can visit different places with nice music, and of course passing by La Goulette, nice bars and nice music! I'm 36 years old and got tired from parties hahahahaha
If you're still interested in the modern side, you can visit TUNIS CITY it's the biggest shopping mall in Tunis, you will also find PATHE the cinema , i bet you will be surprised if you see it~ However the MALL Of Sousse is cooler so give it a visit if you went to Sousse Also, try some traditional tunisian pastries they're sooooo delicious 😋 (kaak warka, baklawa, mignardise, mlabes, samsa...) make sure to get to a good pastryshop to get better quality
There are so many other places to visit, the list is long, it was by far my favorite north african destination (much better than morocco, which is still ok) the prices - the people - the food - the beauty. I personnaly liked to stay around the capital ( anywhere not far from carthage zone and the aierport) but most of my freinds loved other citcies like sousse - djerba and the sahara regions in the south... Tunisia is much more vibrant in the summer since locals work only half day and the whole country become a festival.

concerning the limited choice of fruits you have mentioned, you have to know that Tunisia doesn't import fruits(except banana) so the fruits available in the markets are local and fresh...there is a long list of fruits in Tunisia produced in different seasons... during this period of the year you can find orange, dates, apple, lemon

Tunisia is a really beautiful country if you have the means to live well there , it's a cheap touristic destination, and you have lot of diversity , beaches in summer , mountains and desert in winter. Sadly though most of the locals can't enjoy most of its beauty. Thank u for the video , hopefully u get to visit other places too outside the capital
Don't forget to visit el jem, kairouan, chenini in tunisia. In tunis do not forget to go to lac 1 and lac 2 there is also belvedere zoo enjoy your time in tunisia and thank you for your visit.
grocery is cheap because they have their local brands and not imported staff. now talking about the fruits, it s seasonnal, every season you have different fruits, this season its true you dont have much options comparing to spring and summer. enjoy your stay in Tunisia and think to come back at summer month of july and august, and enjoy the white sand and beautiful beaches at ahmmamet and sousse and also djerba

First I want to thank you for giving this beautiful pictures of my country which I believe is suffering from bad tourism marketing. Second I want to give you a tip to visit the Roman amphitheater in el jam which I believe it’s the second or the third largest in the world and it still intact in most of its parts even it’s going to be maybe 2 and a half hours drive from Tunis the capital.. I wish I was in Tunisia now to give you guys a tour of the place.. thank you again and I wish you a pleasant stay .. much love ❤️❤️❤️

Tunisian myself and I tend to skip videos about Tunisia for one reason; escaping the roast and the overly negative reviews. Not to say the country is perfect in anyway, I myself have a 20000 point checklist of things I wish they disappear or get better in Tunisia, however, people like yourself who make the effort to bring the good In the place and promote it are doing a much better job than our entire tourism offices. Welcome to Tunisia. There are many places you have not visited. Go to the Bardo Museum, there you will find history and visit the green places like Tabarka and Ain Draham, you will like it and visit the hot springs, which is hot water that comes down from the mountain and contains sulfur. Visit Sidi Bou Said as well.
there's a sahara festivals in south of tunisia half of next month ( in kebili, tozeur , tataouine ... ) it's touareg festivals or the people who lives in sahara you can find horses animation, a sloughi ( dog ) chasing a rabbit , animation with camels
The baths and the archeological site at the end date back to the empire of Carthage (814 BC) and not Rome (roman period started in 140s BC in Tunisia, which was called Africa then by the Romans, and then the name became the name of the continent). Though there are other monuments dating back to the Roman empire. If you are interested in those, I urge you to visit Dougga (though you will need to rent a car to get there), El Jem amphitheater, Oudhna, Bulla regia, or simply the Bardo musuem if you are only staying in Tunis. Google these to have a general idea if you cannot go. It's just that I saw you make a reference to Roman period a lot in your videos on Tunisia. And while some of it is partially correct, and your videos are beautiful, not every architectural style in Tunisia is Roman. There is of course as well, the Carthaginian, the arabic style, the andalusian, the amazigh (berber) in the south, the spanish, the ottoman, etc.... For instance, the Medina is influenced by the Arab-Muslim architecture, and a touch of Amazigh as well, (the symbols on the door, etc.), and not Roman style as you mentioned. (totally okay though to confuse them xD) Although for me I find the style of the Amazigh in the dry regions is the most compelling (chenini, matmata, tamazret, Ksar el mourabtine, guermassa,)
We mostly have in seasons fruit and we rarely have fruits that do not grow in Tunisia apart of some exceptions that’s why the choice might be limited .and as always nice content and loved the different side you showed ,
You are one of few vlogers who visited Lac areas .. most of foreigners dont make Videos about it out of lack of info and stick with medina /sidi bou/ marsa videos which very typical ..Grand Tunis has many good areas such as Nassr / Manzeh / Gammart / Carthage Hannibal (not the place of ruins but the place where the Phoenician port was) and my favorite is the lac ..I often walk on its cornish at mornings

When i was young i thought that i would find a best world a perfect life. No wars no crimes no hate speach no bullying. I have grown up with this innocenve this sensitivity and i am passing from a chock to another. I am convinced that is the life's rule but i couldn't face it or accept unfortunatly. I've been to tunisia regardless issued that i got. Living cost is affordable and the people quite friendly however we have to be careful don't take public transport because sometimes there's pick pocket.the train intercity isn't realible there's no information when get another station to station at the end we can get loss😢
So the currency in Tunisia is Dinar not Dirham. Tunisians still prefer to buy fruits and vegetables from specialized stores called Kha-dhar who exclusively sell super fresh produce, rather than grocery stores. Same goes with fish mainly in fish markets and meats in Jazzars or meat markets. Fruits are seasonal and thats how they happen to be delicious so in the season you're visiting its Pomegranates and dates mainly and a mix of others of course however summer and spring are the seasons with most variety and flavor, hope this helps.
Nice video as expected just to clarify, the lady said that the amphitheatre is one of 3 in africa that's not true in Tunisia we have more than 50 ancient amphitheatre try to visit uthina in south tunis or el jem near to sousse you will be impressed and i don't think comparing Tunisia and Morocco is a good idea simply because Tunisia is unique and has a lot of history, so much and more than all African countries combined except Egypt.
I said it’s one of the 3 largest in Africa of its time. There are of course many others. Every country is unique, but sometimes we like to draw comparisons for our viewers.

There is no wide varieties of fruits cause we only get seasonal fruits we do not import fruits from different countries so what ever is planted during that season is what you will see in the market unlike in the middleeast they have all kind of fruits from all over the world cause everything is imported

To be honest, after 2011, Tunisia was stuck, and nothing much was built. The component that Alisia is missing is the modern side. We don’t have financial help, skyscrapers, or glass buildings, so we’re missing that development.

I have been to Egypt so understand what you mean. It’s quite like that in Morocco too. However, Tunisia is not like that. People are generally more reserved and more relaxed in their approach. In the 2 weeks we’ve been there, maybe 2 people asked us for help, but it was not forceful or intimidating, so we were happy to help. But nobody stalked or followed us. We felt safe.

Tradition is important but it’s also important to go along with times. Tunisia is doing a great job at preserving the tradition whilst also incorporating modernity!
I thought one of the differences was people. Moroccan people are very outgoing, loud and full of life, whereas Tunisian people felt more reserved and relaxed in their approach. 😊
I’ve been to both Tunisia and Morocco but doesn’t it seem like this “modern area” in Tunisia is very basic in Morocco? As in the majority of most cities in Morocco look like this and even way more developed than this while in Tunisia it’s only small parts that look like this.
I also suggest to have the tips and advice of locals for places to eat. Cafe shops are very mixed but depending on the type of cafe shops. The mixed ones Tunisians call Salon de Thé cafe shops still culturally mainly men but not because women are not welcome but its a preference. Historically cafe shops are where men gather with friends and tend to curse a lot ans be loud and even. Bit vulgar and talk football and smoke a lot so women generally avoid them by choice not by segregation. Women are powerful strong and even better educated than men in Tunisia.

Tunisian myself and I tend to skip videos about Tunisia for one reason; escaping the roast and the overly negative reviews. Not to say the country is perfect in anyway, I myself have a 20000 point checklist of things I wish they disappear or get better in Tunisia, however, people like yourself who make the effort to bring the good In the place and promote it are doing a much better job than our entire tourism offices. Thank you for sharing the bright side, I wish you and your family prosperity and a wonderful life, and I hope Tunisia is treating you in the same way love you're showing.

A few mishaps here and there, but overall we thought Tunisia was a beautiful place that deserves more spotlight. Welcome to Tunisia. There are many places you have not visited. Go to the Bardo Museum, there you will find history and visit the green places like Tabarka and Ain Draham, you will like it and visit the hot springs, which is hot water that comes down from the mountain and contains sulfur. Visit Sidi Bou Said as well.

there's a sahara festivals in south of tunisia half of next month ( in kebili, tozeur , tataouine ... ) it's touareg festivals or the people who lives in sahara you can find horses animation, a sloughi ( dog ) chasing a rabbit , animation with camels

The baths and the archeological site at the end date back to the empire of Carthage (814 BC) and not Rome (roman period started in 140s BC in Tunisia, which was called Africa then by the Romans, and then the name became the name of the continent). Though there are other monuments dating back to the Roman empire. If you are interested in those, I urge you to visit Dougga (though you will need to rent a car to get there), El Jem amphitheater, Oudhna, Bulla regia, or simply the Bardo musuem if you are only staying in Tunis. Google these to have a general idea if you cannot go.
It's just that I saw you make a reference to Roman period a lot in your videos on Tunisia. And while some of it is partially correct, and your videos are beautiful, not every architectural style in Tunisia is Roman. There is of course as well, the Carthaginian, the arabic style, the andalusian, the amazigh (berber) in the south, the spanish, the ottoman, etc.... For instance, the Medina is influenced by the Arab-Muslim architecture, and a touch of Amazigh as well, (the symbols on the door, etc.), and not Roman style as you mentioned. (totally okay though to confuse them xD)
Although for me I find the style of the Amazigh in the dry regions is the most compelling (chenini, matmata, tamazret, Ksar el mourabtine, guermassa,)

We mostly have in seasons fruit and we rarely have fruits that do not grow in Tunisia apart of some exceptions that’s why the choice might be limited .and as always nice content and loved the different side you showed ,

You are one of few vlogers who visited Lac areas .. most of foreigners dont make Videos about it out of lack of info and stick with medina /sidi bou/ marsa videos which very typical ..Grand Tunis has many good areas such as Nassr / Manzeh / Gammart / Carthage Hannibal (not the place of ruins but the place where the Phoenician port was) and my favorite is the lac ..I often walk on its cornish at mornings
You're right there are a lot to see in Tunisia beside the main touristy areas, we always try to show the more trendy and modern areas to show different sides to a country. Thanks for your recommendations.

I've been to tunisia regardless issued that i got.
Living cost is affordable and the people quite friendly however we have to be careful don't take public transport because sometimes there's pick pocket.the train intercity isn't realible there's no information when get another station to station at the end we can get loss😢
So the currency in Tunisia is Dinar not Dirham.
Tunisians still prefer to buy fruits and vegetables from specialized stores called Kha-dhar who exclusively sell super fresh produce, rather than grocery stores. Same goes with fish mainly in fish markets and meats in Jazzars or meat markets. Fruits are seasonal and thats how they happen to be delicious so in the season you're visiting its Pomegranates and dates mainly and a mix of others of course however summer and spring are the seasons with most variety and flavor, hope this helps.

Nice video as expected just to clarify, the lady said that the amphitheatre is one of 3 in africa that's not true in Tunisia we have more than 50 ancient amphitheatre try to visit uthina in south tunis or el jem near to sousse you will be impressed and i don't think comparing Tunisia and Morocco is a good idea simply because Tunisia is unique and has a lot of history, so much and more than all African countries combined except Egypt.

There is no wide varieties of fruits cause we only get seasonal fruits we do not import fruits from different countries so what ever is planted during that season is what you will see in the market unlike in the middleeast they have all kind of fruits from all over the world cause everything is imported

I have been to Egypt so understand what you mean. It’s quite like that in Morocco too. However, Tunisia is not like that. People are generally more reserved and more relaxed in their approach. In the 2 weeks we’ve been there, maybe 2 people asked us for help, but it was not forceful or intimidating, so we were happy to help. But nobody stalked or followed us. We felt safe.

I thought one of the differences was people. Moroccan people are very outgoing, loud and full of life, whereas Tunisian people felt more reserved and relaxed in their approach. 😊

I’ve been to both Tunisia and Morocco but doesn’t it seem like this “modern area” in Tunisia is very basic in Morocco? As in the majority of most cities in Morocco look like this and even way more developed than this while in Tunisia it’s only small parts that look like this.
I also suggest to have the tips and advice of locals for places to eat.
Cafe shops are very mixed but depending on the type of cafe shops. The mixed ones Tunisians call Salon de Thé cafe shops still culturally mainly men but not because women are not welcome but its a preference. Historically cafe shops are where men gather with friends and tend to curse a lot ans be loud and even. Bit vulgar and talk football and smoke a lot so women generally avoid them by choice not by segregation. Women are powerful strong and even better educated than men in Tunisia.
