Wall off the kitchen from the growing area to prevent smoke killing your grow beds. Move whatever's blocking the grow bed area from the main hall and put the door there. Also, consider making the power node in the grow bed area "In only" with a battery to protect the grow beds from the occasional rolling blackout....

As for the door to the main hall, we blocked that off in an earlier stream to allow for less opening and closing, and the food serves the galley, so the connection to the galley makes food re-stocking quicker! Just need to stay on top of the fires is all...
You UA-cam guys make this look easy. I like to idiot proof things as much as I can. I try to keep the grow beds as far away as practical from things that like to catch fire like kitchens and water purifiers...
Hey Solid 👋 Oxygen and Gas scrubbers have a maximum useful range of around 15x15 tiles. The CO2 generator will only produce CO2 up to around 40-50ppm then stops. The grow beds bonus are already maxed out at 20ppm of CO2 anyway so a single CO2 producer will supply enough for 3 to 4 large grow beds. The gas isn't escaping, it's being consumed hence why it's lower than the rest.
I've found that hypersleep chambers are great for saving crew during crisis moments like running out of food. So, having a few on hand is pretty useful, but I still jump between systems without them for most of the crew.
Ooooooh this is a GREAT idea, I'm definitely getting close to wanting to "store" shifty Hal. The other thing I was thinking is eventually, I could have a huge surplus of armed redshirts, and keep them frozen until it's time to board an enemy ship or run away missions... Sort of Demolition Man style!
Oh wow, it got really tense and frightening at the end. But Malcolm came through for his away team crew! Not only did he rescue Michael, but he took on several spideys on his own to rescue Jayne. And that's not even counting that they took on three big bois! It's a shame that you experienced all those tech troubles! Maybe Shifty Hal did something. I mean, you WERE talking about him right when the video cut out... XD I really like the look of the kitchen/galley! It has a real cafeteria vibe, and I'm sure if any additional crew are found that they'll appreciate being able to sit around. Now that's something I look forward to seeing you know? A big crew all waking up and going to the kitchen for some grub and chatting. :) As for what should go in those smaller areas, maybe one of them will be a bathroom/toilet area? That might help their comfort level. Let's hope you're able to find some more resources soon. We must always search for stuff, to fill our storage spaces! TO THE STARS, FOR THE STUFF!

If you haven't mentioned what happened, I would not question why you are showing us the final result and not the process of building. Nice progress on cozying up the ship, thou! I dig the new name. 🔥Not to mention that surplus of food. I'm all for color-coding the uniforms. I wish there was a third colorable area, so the t-shirts can have two colors. A stripe, or badge perhaps? Ooo, what if developers added colorable capes? Hats? Headsets? Bandanas? That would be epic! How about color-coding in shades: Lightest blue for doctors, teal for botanists? Bright red for gunners, red or orange for navigators and command crew? Same with shades of yellow for engineers, logistic guys(and girls). Although, I feel like Jayne would wear everything in black. Matte black! Or neon pink. Why? Because he can. 😎 P.S.: Google says that voice breaks can occur because of dehydration, and in the morning, the body is laking water even more because of the night rest.

Remember that plants CONSUME the CO2 to grow, and produce oxygen in the process. So the concentration of CO2 in your botany room will remain pretty low despite the presence of the CO2 generator. Also the generator most likely uses some form of hysteresis and will only run briefly once in a blue moon to top-off the room when plants don't have enough CO2 to grow.
Arthur THAT IS SO TRUE! I need to look in to this and see if I can observe their level of O2 production, do you think it even supplies the ship a bit??

You mean to say you are still playing the pre-early access version? Woaaah! But you are missing out on extra water! Or being able to place floor power nodes underneath wall lights! I get it tho...
First thing I do is put my crew on separate shift patterns so only need 3 beds for 6 crew, and it seems to be more productive with nobody sitting around doing nothing
