    Thanks for watching! Hope this helps you create your screen tutorials 🤓 . I have no affiliation with Loom. I just love recommending tools that will help others. I use Loom mainly for quick videos that I need to share with my team and ScreenFlow to record all the video tutorials that I post to UA-cam and online lessons for members. If you want a more advanced tool, I recommend either ScreenFlow (Mac only) or Camtasia. Be sure to Subscribe and turn on notifications for more tutorials. As always, stay stoic my friends.

    Hi, Great video,
    One quick question or observation. I can see you can flip the camera to full screen and then back to the shared view of window and camera using the buttons under the camera circle. I cant for the life of me find the keyboard shortcut to do that when you are actually filming live, so that you can do what you were doing and seamlessly flip whilst in conversation without the mouse keys and what you are doing beeing seen and recorded on the video?
    Surely there is a keyboard shortcut of some sort to do that?

    Great video, I just signed up for an account but when I download the video recording the CTA and Caption are not showing up. I made sure I saved it but nothing is there. It also cuts off the screen. Is there a way to correct this problem? I also don't see a way to add lower thirds to the video.

    Quick question I made a 30 minute tutorial the other night after watching your very well put together video. I guess I somehow missed it in the video but I guess you explained that you don't get the video downloaded to your computer it's uploaded to Loom's website. Could you go over that one more time because I don't have hey downloaded copy of my video and then when I try to download it from Loom it took hours just to get my 26 minute video back. I don't want to make a video to upload it to download it. Is this how a loom works on a regular basis? Cuz I'm really confused at this point

    One problem I’m having is when I click on the desktop app option it still open a web browser. Therefore if I want to a tutorial on the pages app the video icon doesn’t show. It only shows if I’m on a web browser. I’ve contacted loom twice with no response at all. I’m really frustrated. What’s the point of having the desktop app when it opens a browser every time?

      Hey Michael! I've been using a Rode Procaster for the longest time coupled with a Scarlett Solo USB to plug into your computer. I use Auphonic to automatically level and enhance audio. I record in ScreenFlow (Mac only) for screen tutorials that I publish to UA-cam. It records all together. Camtasia is the alternate that works for both Windows + Mac. Loom can record audio at the same time, too, but ScreenFlow's got more video editing options. For talking head videos, I record the video on my Canon M50 and record audio using an external mic plugged into the camera. I switch to my Rode mic if doing screen tutorials though.

    One question: If I use the free version, where is the water mark or stamp of Loom?

    • @AureliusTjin
      @AureliusTjin  3 роки тому

      Loom basic/free does not put a watermark thankfully. It's the hosted video page that is branded with Loom. To have the ability to customize and white label the page, you'll need to be on a paid plan. There's also no limit on recording time on free accounts unlike some competitors.

    HI Aurelius, if I just wanted to screen record a tutorial and have my face in it, could I just press record on an external camera and screen record at the same time? or in order to save time on editing and stuff, would you say it would be better to use a cam link?

    • @AureliusTjin
      @AureliusTjin  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Markel. Yes, you can record on an external camera but you'll need to then sync it with your video editing software. It's actually how I do it. I have another video showing my whole process here: ua-cam.com/video/2tFvLO9UYX4/v-deo.html

      With the mic that I specifically use (Rode Procaster) and other XLR mics, it needs a USB interface that enables you to use it via USB. If you want to skip over the USB interface, you can get a USB mic such as a Shure MV7.
