Definitely the different gasses, but are they at a higher/lower pressure? And does the high voltage being AC make it glow better? I tried it with pulse DC at atmospheric pressure and it didn't really work. I could imagine the AC transferring through the glass as it basically is a capacitor
I love the double pendulum😍😍..the reason for the knot is due to the rotation of the ring beyond 90°, the lower ends of the chain are elongated sideways. Therefore, there is now also a restoring force component tangential to the ring. If it overcomes the frictional forces, the two ends of the chain can slide from the lower end of the ring upwards on each side of the ring. Once they make it to the middle of the ring, the knot can form
while falling down due to gravity ring's round shape spread the chain around it than ring falls between the overlaped chain so a note is made and chain hangs up
7:51 This is an unnecessarily convoluted way to say that the bottom of the slinky is pulled upwards as the slinky falls, thus making it look like it's not moving
1:51 The more you play with the glass tubes filled with gas the more you're contaminating the gas filling. The spark coil on the glass causes the glass "outgas" which means gas that was stable on the inside surface of the glass has been given energy to break free. I use these gasses in my line of work, I'm a neon glass blower, I make neon signs.
Ans is while falling down the ring was in touch with the beads so the series of beads flip when the ring came at bottom the knot in beads is there so this happen
But why does that happen? It happens because he leaves the ring from his thumb first and then from his fingers. I showed this as a magic trick to a lot of people about 5-6 years ago
The answer is simple- Ish. The ring slides down the necklace and once it gets to the bottom of the necklace the necklace wraps around the ring creating a knot
The rotation from the ring causes the leading edge to pass between the strands of the bead chain, forcing the strands around the sides of the ring thusly looping the chain into a knot around the ring.
1st experiment. Because kinetic and potential energy 2nd experiment. Because you are chitter 😉 You turn ring in half and let’s chain goes up, because ring masses! Bonus: It’s turning like sportsman in horizontal bar!
8:40 it happens because when you hold the ring in such a way that you can release the thumb before a fraction of a second of leaving the ring from your fingers, the ring slides till half of the chain touching it more from the side of your thumb and hence, gets bunded upon the string as it flips the string so quickly that the human eye can barely notice it!
When you drop the ring it tilts to the side you let go of first an when it does the ring touches the necklace but still continues to fall thw way it was and thereforw catches the rong
Answer to this weeks quiz: The chain catches the ring due to a wave effect. The wave hits the end of the chain causing it to snap back creating a loop through which the ring falls through thus closing the loop and catching the chain. It's a crude explanation of what happened but I think that's what's happening here.
It helps to know that the spring forces between elements of the slinky are local. And you should note that the system was in equilibrium just before release. From there you should be able to deduce the behavior of each part of the slinky in the instant of release. And for the "next" moment and so on... It is worth thinking this through. -
1:35 don’t do this for to long or you could break the glass. I don’t remember how but something in the noble gases with the electricity can cause the glass to break.
About the spring : I read your explanation, I agree, but in fact, it explains nothing except that the spring falls, which is not so mysterious !!! Can you explicitate more ?

The Chaotic Pendelumn
7:35 , because the bottom part of slinky forces the upper part of slinky to come towards the bottom
Or , every action has equal n opposite reaction
8:52 , it happens only when you drop it in a specific way
Nichola Tesla was a true legend.
What you think?
His many discoveries have been tried to keep as secret. And someone had tried to steal his ideas too.
Basically the inventor of the alternate current the one the whole world uses, nothing to do with the other shitty guy...
I think you mean Nikola Tesla
I do. The other shitty guy is Edison.
He’s a pioneer, there is no way he isn’t a legend.
All were mind expanding pieces of Art and Physics, my favorite was the sandscript pendulum.

*The Tesla coil* is surely among the best in your all time collection. Can be served as a perfect gift for a Physics lover.
5:50 I just was like out loud
"Chaos is beautiful."
okay discord
Its quite amazing experience to see all these toys. Thanks for sharing.
Answer for the quiz: The ring simply turns around and ties itself. (I slowed the video down to 0.25 speed to see what happened.)
I loved the gas collection in front of the tesla coil! It blew my mind! xD
Thanks for the compliment :)
GREAT MUSIC SYNC!!
OK I've watched a few vids, but that edit sold me, subscribed!

At 5:05 that is Tim Rowett AKA Tim-The-Toy-Man. Subscribe to Grand Illusions he's a cool old guy so show him some support.
Every science toy is liked by me!!!
Wow! And the 1st one is very classy . My dream was to create in my country a kind of school or fundation for poor child learn science...but like this.
2:19 i like it

9:12 too
I'd like to see a gas tube collection for gasses people actually look for more often, like radon, CO, CO2, HC, NOX, etc.
I love those oil drop timers, I wish I had one
while falling down due to gravity ring's round shape spread the chain around it than ring falls between the overlaped chain so a note is made and chain hangs up
Superb
Science = Superb
nice seeing Tim's card!
Double pendulum fidget!!! Already love it.
the slinkys bottom stays because when you drop it the bottom wants to meet the top in the middle but gravity keeps it in place.
I m too early ....yeee😋 btw Tesla coil was mind blowing
Thanks :)
You should see a large Tesla coil
The solution is because the metallic ring spins 1 spin so the metallic rope gets stuck with it.
And that is seen in the slow motion.
When you leave the ring the chain gets tied around it because the ring rotetes while moving down
all you just did was give the question back as an answer. try again.
I love these videos.
7:51 This is an unnecessarily convoluted way to say that the bottom of the slinky is pulled upwards as the slinky falls, thus making it look like it's not moving
Deranged mallard the pull up of the slinky and the pull down of gravity equals out
😂

From where can we buy the Tesla coil and how much it will cost
The switch pitch ball is my favourite. Also, i own an oil drop timer.
Shadow Hacker, same here except mine has these wheels
The ring hits the chair and causes the chair to whip back over it then it gets bought like that
Science is always interesting ....🤘🏾
That chain was like "I'll never let go"
I liked the Tesla coil
Me too!
If you know that energy have been free then nobody is a legend. We are all stupid. Not because of we didn't know that. Because we haven't used that.
A tesla is NOT a toy.
Did you know a black guy named Tesla created tesla coils
The All Knowing Egg Head | actually no. But thx.

This is extremely cool! You got me as new subscriber :) I am here because of a link from electroBOOM.
The ring had bend the chain in such a way that it forms a loop that allows the chain to form a loop
What is a good android app to capture a video of the metal kinetic sculpture pattern?
It's like making a metal rubber band chain but you aren't interfering

The force has t/t to the chain and making it spin and that's what made loop with the ring

So much fun! ^_^
Because the peristatlic movement of chain made by the ring makes it fall into loop of same chain makes it knot to the ring
You drop the ring in the middle hole of the necklace
Wow these need to be given to the children maybe they'll stop eating the Tide pods 😎✊
Because of your hand position
