Colin. I'm 60 - you still are The Man! Always loved your work and now I love it even more. It is so good to see you happy and thriving; you are a true inspiration.
Men at Work songs were the anthem of my youth. I learned to play the saxophone when "who can it be now" came out. I fell in love with the soprano saxophone when I heard "overkill" for the first time. I ended up playing professionally and still do. Colin's music still resonates with me. He's one of the musicians I'd love to meet and play with. Thank you for the years of wonderful music Colin.
overwhelmed by "just not picking up the sword." colin hay is hero material.
“Who can it be knocking on my door?
Stay away
Don’t come round here no more…”
The lyrics by Men at work will forever be etched on my heart
We love you, Colin,
We love you so dearly
Brillant, merci Colin.
One eve in Pa. I was asked if I knew of Colin Hay and if I could pick him up to bring him to the show that eve. A wonderfull short trip with a new friend.
Thank you, this was a really hearth touching documentary. I like the music from Men at Work already from end of 80ties, when found a old unmarked tape ( in mono ) at home, didn't had a clue, who is actualy singing on that tape for next 10 years, but I was lissening those songs, again, again and again. I still have that tape till these days and takeing care that nothing happens with it, because, it's my first connection to Men at work. When I found out after years who is singing on the tape, I bough all the albums on vinyls and played to my daugther. The band instantly became one of her favorite bands, so much, that I'm careful about my vinyls or she'll scratch them through. Btw, till today I don't know, who recorded and brough that tape to our home, my dad didn't knew it also. But it was there, between the tapes, next to another not marked mono tape ... which was from from The Holies...
tengo 40 años de edad y hace unas semanas por fin pude cumplir el sueño de verlo en Perú y fue increible no alcanzo a imaginar como fue en los 80s ..gracias por hacernos vibrar
Thanks for sharing your story and it goes without saying your music throughout the years Colin> Legendary ! Cheers
Brazil Loves so much Colin and his songs!!! My son Gabriel (14 y old) always saw me playing Men at Work on my guitar, and fell in love too.
Excellent. Very touching and enjoyable and human
One of my all time favorite bands…..❤❤❤❤❤
He’s got the voice of beauty
Fantastic documentary; I’m originally from Kilwinning just along the road from Saltcoats: your Dad made a good decision Colin!
Ps Jimoen is the best comic going too!
I love this guy, and this is such a great documentary and a great story.
Your a kind generous man and a great musician and singer men at work was a very talented band anyone could tell all you guys loved to play music and have fun loved the videos always a pleasure to hear your music thank you and good day mate 😊
Fantastico, fiquei a gostar ainda mais do Colin Hay!
“You!!” Truly make me see a different present day in your boots. Sadly, in your boots you would’ve been a certain success, be it Glasgow or Melbourne or if your great Daddy had taken you to Vancouver or Toronto, you would’ve been performing today I’m guessing quite similarly. TY for the reflective trip that I rarely find depth in, as deep as a humanitarian that I’ve needed.
Excelente! Gracias por subtitularlo!
Beautiful!!!
Looking forward to seeing you someday, in Spain perhaps?
Great to see Ron Stryker on here....He and Colin didn't speak for many years( in fact Strykert was once arrested for threatening to kill Colin !! )....so hope this means they have made up ????
Just Iike Noddy and Jim Lea ...they haven't spoken for over 20 years !!!....very sad .🌟⭐🎸🎵🎵❤
Oh my God:didn't know that..what was the reason? What happened?.
God bless you and your family
He is touring the U.S. next year. Go and see him and take a long look and have a good listen. He is part of a tradition that is fast disappearing.
The Best, fantástico.....
Brilliant. Nice, nice man.
The story reminds me of Hugh Cornwell.
beautiful
Don’t know what this is but I’ll like it 👌
You’re following your heart:
I admire that
Sinceramente é disso que estamos falando? Estamos falando de vidas sinceras? A vida é como ela é. Parabéns Colin.
Big soul...... 🙏🎶👍💕
36:53 Whoa.
Random. It appeals to me
I know what it is and I like it too. You 3 must be youngsters if you haven`t heard of Colin : )
Men at Work and Colin Hay for ever
How did Colin loose one of his eyes?..
He has both eyes, one is just a lazy eye.
Minstrel.
Same😂
I remember Men At Work, I thought they were a good band. Not a band that I followed but I didn't change the channel when they came on the radio or tv. I knew of Colin Hay but I never really heard his songs outside of Men At Work. After watching this Doc. I feal like I've missed out on a shitload of great music. If he comes to Mass. I will definitely be there to see him live.
