This was recorded during the height of covid lockdowns. They have over 900 people from 55 countries that sent in recordings which made up the virtual choir. The lead male singer in this is their arranger Jamey Ray. He is a genius and he's arranged for PTX , Voice Play and many, many others.Listen to The Great Movie Medley. Its an ode to the great John Williams movie scores.Their voices are the orchestra!!!Only 1song has lyrics.
Welcome to the Voctave fan base! They are one of the big a cappella groups like Home Free, PTX, and a few others. Fun fact, they all know each other personally too. For reference, this was recording during the Covid phase. It was basically an idea for “togetherness” because of the major depression.
Ok here we go. Voctave pronounced Voc Tive like octive is an 11 member acapella group. Most members have performed in the voices of liberty at epcot in disney world for years. They do tons of disney, Christmas, and broadway songs, along with performing with special guest singers. The V stands for their their 5 octive range. I would love to hear you react to the song Somewhere.
Loved your reaction!! I started listening to them about 1 year ago and have become a huge fan. May I suggest; Christmas: O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary Did You Know (solo by the actual writer), Spirit of the Season, Where are you Christmas. Broadway: Somewhere, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Prince of Egypt, Great Movie Medley (John Williams movie scores)...Disney: Princess Medley, Disney Love Medley, Disney Heroes and Villains, Disney Park Medley...They are amazing!
Welcome to the Voctave rabbit hole. I encourage you to check out anything in their catalog! They are incredible singers and also have had some awesome collabs with other awesome singers. Disney Princess Medley for the ladies Disney Heroes and Villians Medley for the men Prince of Egypt Medley (audio only) for the pure joy! Disney 90s TV medley for some silly fun Someone Like You feat Jody McBrayer (for another inspiration song) For the holidays: You HAVE to check out Mary Did you know feat Mark Lowry (who is the writer of the song lyrics) Where Are You Christmas Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame 12 Days of Christmas (audio only) for some holiday silliness and fun! ❤❤
Travis and Suzi did the Princess Medley already, so don´t know if the Wolf Hunterz crew react to each others chosen stuff? Also the Stampede from Lion King covered by Voctave should be suggested more. Underrated!
@embran8486 ok I thought I saw another video for them for Voctave but I couldn't remember. I agree. They have so many songs that are excellent (especially ones that don't have videos). Their new album is excellent (my 13yo son loves Supercalifragilistic)
@@amr21106 Absolutely. My favorite a capella group currently. Voctave first, then Voiceplay, Home Free, Voces8, PTX and last King Singers. All others behind these, including Barber Shop groups.
