- I'm done with my SCX10.3 JLU. And you can download it!
Before I retire this rig and start building a new Scale-1 project for 2025 WRCCA comps, I wanted to show you how this thing performed! Here are a couple of runs from the 2024 East Coast Crawl Fest from the end of April 2024, in south-east Queensland, Australia.
I also highly recommend checking out these runs from that same class, they're good watching:

#rccrawling, #rcreview, #scx10iii, #compcrawlers,
Good job on 1st! I just built a Gmade Spider and CrossRC demon SR4C full metal edition. They were on sale here in the states
Oh nice! I'd love to buy a Spider but can't get one for less than USD$485 delivered, so I've not been in a hurry on that model!
I was able to snag it for 349$ usd!
Well done!
Hey buddy, awesome job at the comp! Loved watching you problem solve those...problems... 😅😁
I just got your Ascent Fusion rework completed, man what an awesome project! I had a lot of fun putting that together and didn't have any major issues
Lol nice. My channel needs an inside joke. Looks like that... problem... might be solved.
And awesome! I know things aren't perfect with that install and some fiddling is required, but that's great to hear! Thank you for the feedback and I really hope you enjoy driving it!
A nice and great Ideia to share !!!
🎉Congrats for the 🏆 and the Kind share to all of us.
🐼🥇🐻❄️👌🏻
Great to see more footage of the event! Looks like it was a fun time in pretty setting. Congrats again on taking the top spot! 🙌
Thanks Andy. It was such a great trip. Cheers
Great job all the hard work payed off👍 thanks for sharing.
I've been waiting on the results and footage, great job!
Masterful driving! Bravo!
Well done on 1st place, Craig!
Congratulations on 1st in Class 1! I'm looking forward to watching your build videos for the 2025 comp!
Do you ever participate in 1/24 or 1/18 comps? I'd love to see those, or at least build videos if you decide to. Cheers!
Never done one, but we're in talks in our local club now to experiment with a day for it, and to go from there. I've got a few builds in progress, too. They'll get camera time in the not-too-distant future. Cheers :)
Absolutely fantastic work, and well deserved first. That rig is mesmerising, and a credit to your skill & experience.
Look forward to your next build for sure!
Thank you 😊 Felt good, eh
Great vid of the comp. It's amazing rig. It looks so big and unstable like it'll fall over and moment but its composed. It further makes me realize how important geometry is over ascending ability which só many rtr fans focus on.
Haha yes! That's right! And thank you 😊
What happened to the sct shootout. Was looking forward to seeing how the Hobao SC10 compared.
Still coming. I'm balancing a lot of content and the biggest time of year for crawling has just passed, so there's a bit to get through. I've got a conga line of SCTs here still awaiting their turn on camera and the Hobao is next.
Congratulations on your win. Your truck looked great and ran the course very well. Your driving was excellent.
Thanks Michael, it was a really fun comp. Can't wait for the next one!
I love this build!
nice run! I can't imagine being able to comp on all rock.
We use the best spots for the biggest comps. Some comps have dirt, sand, mud, etc. too, but a river or ocean side rock area is just tops for crawlers!
What does your channel name stand for, RC TNT? Maybe you've told us before and I missed it.
It's in the About section of the channel, and in my social media tags: RC Trail and Tech . I capitalised the N in 'and' because it sounded better than RCTT 🙂
@@RCTNT Reading is a helluva thing, haha.
Meh, we don't come to youtube to read tho! All good 😅
Hi love watching your videos, looking at buying a builders kit which ones would you recommend…. Cheers
Hi James, what do you want to do with it? Gonna need some specifics here. Trail? Performance crawling? Scale? Towing? And what's the budget? What country are you in? Is it going to be your first build? Answer these and I'll give you my best ideas :)
@@RCTNT hi I’m in the U.K.,terrain wooded and rocks ,so more crawling than trailing, not scale ,built the Gmade bom,trx4 sport kits just fancy something new
@@James-bristol ok gotcha. Cross RC is probably what you're after. The EMO XT4 is worth a look, as is the EMO AT4 or JT4 (or 6, I guess).
@@RCTNT cheers thanks will look into them
Great footage!
Thanks, we got a lot from the comp
Was such a great long weekend
hey man i was just wondering if there were other crawler events in Austrlaia focused on more scale stuff?
They come and go. The scene got quite busy for a while and then since covid it has been more quiet. But MelbourneCompCrawlers.com.au is chuffing along nicely (our next comp is mid June down south), while a few other Melbourne based FB groups are also busily doing their thing with social runs and so on (plus others like Victorian Wild West Crawlers also around Bendigo/Ballarat/Geelong areas).
The QLD club is busy (SEQRCC). Newcastle club has started up (Hunter Valley Comp Crawlers). WA is up and down but there are definitely people active in the scene there. I also know the Coffs group is busy.
But it depends where you are. Look on Facebook for 'crawlers' and find a bunch of like-minded people in your area and meet up and drive, basically!
@@RCTNT thanks i was looking for more like scale driving where theres no compatition just trails and stuff with othere people that also love scale.
All of the above apart from my club and SEQRCC is the answer to your question, in that case. The FB groups are socially quite active, generally.
@@RCTNT ok thanks man, i love you videos!
What system do you guys use for scoring where everyone can see the scores online?
It's an internal system developed by the WRCCA guys and shared with the clubs that follow that rule set. Login not needed to see scores and each club can adjust their rules/scoring to suit, within limits. It's pretty good.
Hopefully, that trickles its way down to more comp styles. I come from a racing background, and we always had LiveRc pulled up on our tablets to keep tabs on the heats. I always thought a setup like that would be amazing for crawling comps. No score sheets needed. Could be displayed on a TV in the hobby shop while comp is live.
Wrcca isn't the as common in the states unfortunately. I still have my sporty and pro but only comp them once or twice a year.
@adamwillby that is already possible, yep. So much better than paper!
You've got me thinking about making a front end for the comps now though. A nice all-in-one display page for whatever comp, nicely formatted for spectators. I'll have to think about that!
Nice job on the first place. Thats such a nice looking rig, well done. 😎👍🏻
Thanks Rob! It was very satisfying after the work that went into it!
@@RCTNT are you going to use the SCX10 as the base for the next build?
Nah, I'm leaning toward a full diy chassis. Still thinking it over.
@@RCTNT looking forward to whatever you do. Cheers. 👍🏻
Haha me too, me too!
I love the footage of your run. You looked very calm and cool as you were driving. Well done sir! Your JLU did great and it "retires" a champion. Good job Jeep!
That's great that your club is hosting next year. Long road trips are amazing, but so is sleeping in ones own bed.
Take Care!
Thanks Chris! It was such a fun 3 days. I've been missing it since I've gotten home!
We'll still be camping next year, the location is still 2.5 hours away, but it's still technically "local" to us. Should be a ripper :)
Now I've gotta get a move on designing the new hard body. Think I'll go from scratch. Should be interesting!
@RCTNT Oh I see. So no bed but camping and crawling sounds perfect.
I look forward to seeing what body you design for next year's comp. You're sure getting your money's worth from your Bambu!
I bought a second P1S, now it does TPU and other non ams materials, while the other P1S runs PETG and pla+ on a bigger nozzle. Good combo and it's greatly improved my prototyping speed. Now big projects are possible!
@@RCTNT That's a nice setup!
I'm grateful for it.
Had a power outage last night for 2 hours. Not unusual in our semi-rural area. This morning, the printer was still stopped where it was cut off last night, but powered up and in a paused state. I pressed Play and it went on with the job and finished flawlessly. It's just so impressive. (I know other printers do this too, but whenever it happens during a long print, and recovers well, it's just very gratifying!)
