Holden Racing UK - Race Two - Thunder Saloons - 13/08/22- Brands GP - Holden V8 Supercar

Here is race two of the Thunder Saloons from the 13th of August on Brands GP, which was our third race of the race and also our third win of four. Held of posting this as we didn't want to bore you with too many on boards in one week.
The grid was as per the results of race one, which meant we were on pole. Into the first corner and the quick BMW M3 of Kevin Clarke managed to nip round the outside as the mighty Holden was struggling with the usual early race lack of grip.
Alex slotted into second place knowing that once the tyres game up to temp and the grip made itself known he would be able to mount a challenge for the lead again. On lap two before we even got a chance to fight back the BMW slowed out of the last corner, so much so Alex thought there had been a caution flag he hadn't see but it quickly became apparent the M3 had an issue.
With a clear track a head, the V8 was unleashed and a gap was pulled on the rest of the field. It was then a case of managing the gap and safely navigating around the slower class cars as they were lapped.
On the last lap some Jaguars having their own battle for position caused us to lose a lot of time, allowing the BMW to close the gap but shear grunt of the V8 Supercar blasted its way passed the chequered flag.
