No when kitty lays down and tucks their paws in they trust u. Belly is a cat just being playful rub that little dude a little hard and see what ur hand looks like when he rips into you with his two back paws.
Yep. I'm not even a cat person. I'm dog person 100% but something about that particular cat....I like it. So yeah....I admit I stayed for the cats. Not only that but I really think Rob shows his viewers a bit of humanity and a bit of heart and kindness. To me, that says so much more about a person's character than the hours or tech content. Sorry but that kind of thing hits so deep in me, that I can't ever leave this channel now. Big words coming from a dog lovers here
I would imagine it'd be better to have a parachute and to not use the headlights so you're not causing excessive wear on the motor or stress on the parts from the wind no? If you're talking like 200+ mph anyways
This really needs a center section between those taillights so the entire back lights up when you brake (or the turn signal "flows" from the center to the indicated side! but looking awesome! Also DAWWWWW kitties!
I have to say I love that this channel takes no short cuts an when it’s goin in to be it’s final look it’s done right an super clean can’t say that about a lot of these car channels but can say it here good stuff man keep the standards
This kind of stuff is what makes this easily the most exciting build on youtube. It's not just a wild engine that makes a lot of power coupled to an interesting drivetrain, but a complete street-car with everything that entails. So dope.
Yeah... that's sort of a non-issue issue. The electrical system is much more likely to fail than the hydraulic system. Except in the case of catastrophic damage, hydraulic systems tend to slowly fail and display signs of faults long before a total failure. Electrical system faults tend to be sudden and immediate, and often intermittent.
Hey Rob, noticed a couple things with those cats, the patchy tabby and white one is definitely a stray/feral but the noisy tabby one looks like it's a house cat. The give away is the tail pointing upwards, only a house cat will do that. Also if one of them looks you in the eye, try and maintain eye contact but do a long squint whilst doing it. As soon as one returns the squint, you're friends. Keep up the good work. Love the builds, love your determination.
Omg that shot of the dash and all the ecu and ignition boxs and the 3000 miles of wire 😳 just gave me so much anxiety about wiring anything lol. You are the man it looks crazy to all of us but we know you have it under control.

And I have a ton of respect for you, building your dream and learning as you go along. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey. I have to shop cats of my own. Rob, I'm sure you've already thought about the pros and cons of this, but I would use a physical switch vs a pressure switch for the brake lights, just in case you ever happen to lose brake pressure for some reason you'll still have the ability to get the lights to come on with the pedal. I hate to admit this, but I've driven several cars without the use of the hydraulic brakes and had to use the emergency brake to stop and use the brake pedal to get the lights to come on.
Hi from South Africa, been following you for a while now and still cant get used to the way your videos end, but great content though really enjoy watching the car take shape
also if you can try to spade n nuder all the stray cats!!! that would be the best thing for the colony around your shop so it doesnt get out of control. its cheap too and they will still go back n chill around the shop
Just an FYI, Ariel Atoms use a pressure switch to actuate the brake lights as well. However most Atom owners switch these out immediately since it appears track driving with the continuous on/off the brakes and the heating of the fluid causes them to fail @ the epoxy seal. This failure causes loss of pressure and thus, loss of braking. I now have a pull switch on my Atom and it hasn't failed yet, this is after two years of street/track driving.
Alright well you got me now Rob, I may not have particularly like you before but I’ve always respected what you do and your awesome builds. But you won me over with feeding the stray cats hell yeah man.

Use redundant switch for brake lights for safety. Either straight switch and cable from pedal or secondary pressure switch. Sometimes those pressure switches can get bad and do such electrical mess that it will pop a fuse.
Yo Rob Dahm, (from my experience in using a brake pressure switch in a few motorcycle builds) I believe you will NOT like it for your build (thou clean as hell) because you actually NEED the lights to come on the instant your foot touches the pedal. With the pressure type switch (and more so at a high pressure threshold like 20psi) the light illumination is delayed and in some (light trailing brake applications) will not light at all. When the headlights were flapping all I could think is Johnny 5 (Short Circuit) fluttering his eyebrows at the butterfly

Awesome lights there - And really nice to see you've got amber turn signals too. So good seeing how excited you are building this & all your projects
One major con to using a pressure switch.
In the event of a hydraulic system failure, you no longer have functioning brake lights.
Good catch
If you have a hydraulic system failure i think you have bigger issues than worrying about brake lights
in that case you would also not be slowing down or "brake-ing"
I mean, in the event of a hydraulic system failure you also don't have brakes, so really it's just reflecting the state of the car at that point.
Yeah... that's sort of a non-issue issue. The electrical system is much more likely to fail than the hydraulic system.
