Thank you for sharing! I've been wrapping at least once a week for about 6 months and have been struggling with headaches. Between this and your headache video, I have a lot to experiment with. I appreciate that you are putting yourself out there to help others. If I can get wrapping to work out without a headache, I hope to wrap more.
Thank you so much for this video... I have waist-length hair and never done a wrap but want to... I could not find this basic beginners video at all on the Wrapunzels channel so I did not know how to get my hair under the shaper properly... Now, I finally found your tutorial and so great to know what to do with hair under the shapers.
I hope it works out for you :) When I decided to show my hair and figured out the best placement for me, it made a world of difference in my wraps. I am glad I can help.
Great! Good advice. I plan on trying this with my next wrap. My hair is super super short due to losing it from months of chemo. Think Mia Farrow when she cut off all her hair. I love my ultimates from Wrapunzel. I cant wait to have bangs again. It would be nice if you added the Velcro shapers, too. If i wear a vhb, i can't stand it over my ears or my shaper. My ears get so sore. Yet the scarf doesn't bother them. Go figure.
It's funny, sometimes my ears don't care about the shaper and there are other days I have to rewrap mid day because my ears cannot take it. I started wrapping when I had really thin and short hair as well, so I am going to do a video on wrapping with short hair because the same principals apply but the execution is a tad different. When I was putting this video up too, I totally realized I didn't use a Velcro shaper so I will remember to put that in the short hair video!
I get headaches all the time with my head coverings. Anything you can share about how you use a volumeizer and not get a headache is very much appreciated. I have noticed that the other ladies just demonstrate how to use a scarf. They don't show what you are showing. Thanks again.
Great video! I don't think there are enough videos out there on this topic. I did not know about putting the shaper on from the back to the front. I will try that from now on. I also have a heart shaped face (at least that is what I have been told) so it is helpful to me to know that angles will be more flattering to me. Thank you! :-D
It seems this topic has definitely struck on a need within the wrapping community! I have a ton more planned that I am going to roll out over the next little while because I completely agree! Angles are your best friend when you have a heart shaped face because it helps break up the round of the forehead and makes your face look longer (which softens the angle of the chin and jaw).
Do you find that parting your hair reduces headaches at all? After about 8 hours my head starts to ache lightly from being pulled back. I’ve tried everything I can think of and even tried the tricks and tips from your headaches video :(
I have bought most of my 'undergarments' from www.wrapunzel.com, which has a great assortment of headbands and shapers. You can get velvet headbands from most stores and shapers from most online scarf and hijab retailers. Which one you buy depends on the amount of volume (or poof) at the end of your wrap.
Hey, are you a Muslim hijabi? I am a bit confused. Either way, very informative video. Will buy a velvet headband to wear under my hijab. Thank you sister. ♡
Velvet headbands are a MUST! They are so essential for keeping everything in place - I hope you found one and you like it :) I am not Muslim and started wrapping for health reasons, I stuck with it because I absolutely feel in love with it. If you want to learn more about my journey I did a video about it here: ua-cam.com/video/rPC2OZ96WG4/v-deo.html

Thank you! I've been experimenting with showing a bit of my hair and this is just the tutorial I needed to see. I can't wait to try it!

Thanks. Next, show us some scarf wrapping, too.

Love you. Great video lots of information
This was a huge help. Thank you so much!!
You're very welcome! I am glad it helped.

Luckily I did a video about just that topic: ua-cam.com/video/xUY1VTWXy2g/v-deo.html Hope this helps with the headaches
I'm glad you made this comment. I'm getting into the world of shapers and I didn't know this was a side effect.
@@stephanieblanco7055 Unless you have a tiny head, I suspect that this is a common problem.. especially if you wear glasses.
@@graceandglory1948 Oh. The closest to a headache I've had is wearing my bonnet over my ears. My ears get sore.

I would love to see a video on how you do your eye make up.
I have a tutorial planned for this look and should have it up on the channel soon!

This is all so new to me. I've never heard of a shaper or a velvet headband. Can these things be bought at the store?

Do you wrap for fashion reasons? I have your face shape and I bought the wendy. Excited to finally not have my head wraps slide around. 😍
Ty you're lovely.
May we ask, why do you wrap?
So why do you cover then? Just curious....
