@Ritik Rana Because If you look at the props and the sets that GxAce video are made of, its mostly old electronic garbage that have cleverly been repurposed to look a bit old and cyberpunkish.
You are on a ROLL!!! Excellent content as always. I have never seen anything like it on UA-cam great work creating your own lane in a crowded space. Also thank you so much for sharing a majority of photos with a black background instead of white. The white background always strained my eyes when looking at a photo on a screen.
I still can't get over how insanely well done his videos are. He really ups the bar every time and this unique style and approach is unmatched. It's hard watching regular videos about lenses and the likes when you come off this channel.
The Nikon 13mm f/5.6 Ai-s is by far the best super-wide rectilinear lens ever made, and I've had the pleasure of using one for an hour or so...my buddy bought one used for about $15,000 and sold it for almost $25,000. It was actually Ken Rockwell's copy and one of only a few to come up for sale. Its image quality is unmatched, but it's an f/5.6 so it's certainly not like this lens here...but I rest my case. If you've never heard of the Nikon...I recommend to look it up! It's an amazing optic!
And suddenly everything’s changes. There was a before time when I didn’t know gxace. Now is a different time. A first experience of this channel and immediately I see that I have more to learn. Waves of gratitude
Im loving the increase in content man im always taken away into this different world in your "revievs" ( I dont really want to call them that, they're more like art!) Love from Switzerland :)
Oh man these videos are so beautiful. Binge watching them right now. The way you combine shots with the music, the super cool product shot setups, the feeling of stepping into the ghost in the shell-universe - where a camera review takes place - truly unique and two steps above every other creator in the camera/lens review space. Love it love it love it!
I am dumbfounded. The quality in which you present every frame of this video, paired with the audio, is insane. More importantly than looking and sounding fantastic, but you have created a feeling and a world that just isn't found anywhere else on this platform. Completely unique and utterly compelling. Thank you for making these videos with so much intention.
Casey, I really love the way you see and edit colors on your photos. I want to get better at color in photography too. Could you please make a video about developing color skills or maybe recommend me something that you used to improve your color editing? Books, courses, tips, anything. Thank you for you videos, I always happy to find out that you posted new video! It’s like a new episode of favorite series, visual is outstanding!
damn.. watching this vs other lens reviews makes this seem like it deserves an oscar for real. so creative, the atmosphere, music, studio and all around structure of the video. love it as it is! please keep it going! now I want this lens!!!!
Viltrox is my favorite lens maker aside from Sigma for 3rd party options. You 100% nailed it with the modern vintage description. Viltrox makes the best lenses in that category and you don’t have to give up electronic features like AF and metering. They’re really changing the market imo.
Breathtaking video as always! The best kept secret in the Fujifilm lens lineup is the 14mm f/2.8. I've had it for years and take it as my solo travel lens all the time. It's exquisitely sharp. Yet, no one talks about it! Sometimes I need a little more light for interior shots, so maybe I'll check this Viltrox lens out.
sold my 14mm after letting it collect dust for to long. still I miss it more than occasionally. the textures that lens could capture is second to none imo
please do a review of your studio and props at some time, I love the light/display box you use to showcase products and also the neuromancer helmet and in general the gritty cyberpunk vibes of your movies
Your videos remind me of the Love, Death & Robots series. I find myself watching them because of the aesthetic, the story, the feeling and the uniqueness of the video itself. It is not your typical review video. It always has something more. Just love it.
I'm not a photographer, just mildly interested in the topic. This is probably the first lens review I've ever seen that oozes mood and style. If that's not worth a subscribe, I don't know what is.
Just a second ago I was just doin my usual lazy Sundae Funday stuff... Now I need this lense, mate! Amazing vlogging style, loving it, so I subbed with the quickness!
Love the atmosphere that your videos create. It's really consistent throughout all your channel. Amazing work in even the smallest details. Framing those filters in that packaging is A1 my friend
I struggled so hard with a limited budget choosing between the viltrox 13mm and the xf16mm 1.4. As a hobbyist, hard to justify both, but doesn't mean I still don't want both!
Beautiful take on this lens. Love your samples and your color correction 👍🏼 Not as shallow DoF, but looking at a super wide for my Canon 6D I bought a EF 20mm 2.8 in like new condition for $210. I am going to use it in Istambul next month and I will get some of your presets to spice up my images.
Gx, I found your channel two days ago and I am absolutely enamoured. You produce fantastic content that you should be insanely proud of. Keep it up. Loving it unconditionally.
also, have you considered making a discord? It would be really cool to hangout and chat with you and maybe do some photography weekly/monthly challenges or something.
This video popped up in my recommended, and I will say after peeking at your channel I'm hooked. These videos are incredibly creative and pretty, from what I've seen there seems to be a story behind the narrator seemingly getting sucked into technology with each passing video. I'm very interested to see the next video you put out
Yesterday I went to sleep thinking about this lens and how much it would look awesome on some sort of cinemascope aspect ratio, and then you give us this wonderful review, thanks for confirming that this lens is awesome, especially with the aspect ratio you're using!
You hit 🎯 the target with both your very unique futuristic style and how you actually are evaluating or presenting your topics. Very informative and entertaining! Keep it up!
@@daveed5923 some of the Fuji lenses can be more expensive than full frame. For example Nikon's 50 1.8 is a show stopping lens and very reasonably priced. But on the whole there are thousands to be saved when we start comparing 2.8 zooms and the more exotic primes like the 20mm 1.8.
If you look into older systems, there are many great bargains. I have the Canon EF 20 f2.8, 28 f1.8 and 40 f2.8 all in like new condition and I pay 550 for the 3, and the IQ paired witj my 6D is fantastic.
I would love to get off the Sony FF conveyor belt, but I cannot physically give Fujifilm my money right now because they simply cannot deliver cameras, and haven't been able to for over a year. The only Fujifilm camera system I can buy into right now is the GFX 50R/S II, which kind of defeats the purpose of switching to a more portable system with affordable lenses.
Great video, as always!! Your content always inspires me to go shoot more. Also, I’m curious of your thoughts on if this lens is similar to the Fuji 16mm f1.4: also a lens with shallow depth of field in a wide angle perspective. Would this lens compliment the 16mm Fuji, or is there too much overlap between the two? It seems like this lens has better autofocus
Happy to see more videos coming out, but hope you don't put too much pressure on yourself ^_^ the quality is brilliant and I'm looking forward to what you do next ^_^
I find it incredibly ironic that you made a video about this lens this week. I took delivery of mine on Monday and took it out on Tuesday for all day casual photography. It ended up shocking me with how well it performed and just how much I liked the 20mm focal length. Tonight I’m going to a Halloween event at Universal, Halloween Horror Nights, and I wanted this lens so that I could see in the dark but capture a wide scene. I realized I didn’t have anything in the bag that could do that so this was an easy choice. I can’t wait to see how it performs tonight! Great images from you as always, and I love the tone of your presentation.
I love the enthusiasm for wide fast primes. They're integral to the cinematic experience and quite frankly replicating human vision experience. I'm holding out for a 9mm f1.4
My man you always on point. Excellent as always. always wondered how a review of non camera-related tech from you would look like. Like a speaker or headphone review. Or one of those fpga retro game emulators. Or monitors or old Trinitrons. I would love to see something like that. Not that I dont enjoy the camera gear reviews as they are always fantastic.
Thank you for this awesome video. Every time you upload a video you see the step further to an actual cinematic masterpiece. At the time I would consider your videos cinematic masterpieces but somehow you get even at this point better with every single video. After this video I might order one because yeah I have a pretty heavy lens addiction and the character of this lens got me immediately. Thanks for this awesome video and keep going this shots are fire.
Casey, not sure you´ve talked about this before but would love to hear you talking more about your color grading process to fuji footage. Beautiful content as always
👏 you’re always the final boss for my purchase decisions. I have the 10-24 but really don’t need the overlap it has from 16-24 since I have the 16-80, and those are all f/4. So this lens makes so much sense to replace the 10-24, and get a bunch of stops more light. I’ve been skeptical of quality with Viltrox lenses but I trust your judgement so I’m in.
When I was hovering over your video I began to read the title and your video started, I was immediately annoyed. Then I read the opening label, cinematic garbage and ruthlessly cackled. The opening, the weird sci-fi through out the video and the fact that you put tape over the camera label made me a fan!
Another banger!! Have been loving the recent uploads. Fuji need to hire you so badly, your videos make me pick up my fuji/any camera for that matter more than any other piece of media I consume and that to me is amazing. Thankyou! Ps. Luts anytime soon? 👀😎
Same! Might replace my beloved Viltrox 85mm f1.8 for concert photography - I can get around the slightly shorter focal length, but the full extra stop of light makes a huge difference!
