I have an idea for games to not stalemate : what if SMG made the area bonus progressive like you get +4 for spain and if no break next turn it will be +5 and so on , it gonna courage the players into constant fight . What do you think Pete ?
At 2:55:55 why the sudden switch from trying to cardblock green to cardblocking blue? I'm very confused by this, since I thought you had spent the last ~20 or so turns letting green take the board to card-block him, and then it felt like you lost progress by switching.

I'd rather play these games without stalemates and mine rarely do. But I can't be mad that I get to make a longer video/stream from time to time because it's nice to hang out with everyone.

Short answer yes. Longer answer I have players treat me favourably as well so as an overall fairness issue there's a problem with me playing because I'm so high profile. Playing under an alt would create different fairness issues but not solve the problem. Either we can figure out a way for me to get a fair run in these tournaments or I can't play in them is what I'm thinking.
The goal of the police is to deter crime and to mainly uphold the laws. Detectives or investigators solve crime. Unfortunately in the US the breakdown of what police typically respond to has the opportunity for other departments to take over those roles or subdivide law enforcement even further. Like broken down vehicles could be relegated to Department of Transportation. Nearly half of all law enforcement deaths are from vehicular accidents. So this should cut down on that. There is no real reason for the police in the US to be militarized. Cop City is an example of police going too far when they really should be trained on how to interact with the public better, deescalating situations, and understanding mental illness and other handicaps. There is no reason why they should taze a deaf man because they failed to understand by his mannerisms (incoherent speech and distinct hand movements) that he was hearing impaired and couldn't follow instructions.

(1HR40MN) it looks like in this time frame you climbed into the north briefly, and you now have over a thousand troops on your capital. Did you ever figure out where the bot purple's cap was? I assume in the northern russia area, which white must have stolen at some point and blocked blue from ever getting russia. (2HR) in it looks like you take a massive chunk of the board from bottom left to top right. (2HR20MN) it doesn't look like anyone is dead yet, still, and you still most turns just hang out in your little africa pocket. (2HR40MN) It looks about 2:34:00 somewhere any there white kills black i think? I didn't actually look at anything then the small thumbails as I scroll. (The last 30 Minutes - 3HR10MN) you take a walk out about 2:40:00 thereabouts, and about 2:44:00 you kill white it looks like? It looks like you took black's old position, and blue took white's old right top position, and it looks like green took white's left positions. 3 Hours in it looks like it's still going strong the three of you okay last ten minutes. blue is making big plays, it looks like you kill green, about 3:08:00 in. Which without scrolling any further I just have to guess you leverage that kill into finishing off blue, but I will check. 3:09 it looks like a caps vic not a total dom vic I think. It's very small but it looked like blue back and green were masters and white an intermediate, it could be expert both are short words for the UBG players (Magic Abbreviation). Okay, well good on you pete. I got out at 37:18 and didn't look back, hope you had fun.

That's on me though. It sounds like it would be hard to just sit there without much choice of action. Quite the dedication you have.
I wont play stalemates like this and do my best to avoid them. At some point i have better shot to do and either slam both if 3p, or whoever deserves it the most, be that terrible play or someone who pissed me off.
Right on man. That's the right way to go IMO. I think they are stalemate settings ultimately but as we see on the show my games rarely get to that stage.
2:47:05 why does Pete swap the Kyiv +2 infantry card out with the 0 Iceland infantry card? Like I get it’s not a big deal but he went out of his way to do it and I view it as a worse choice. Anyone else have any idea?
It's slightly better to trade three of a kind than one of each because it puts those three cards back into the deck making it a bit more likely to have a follow up set on three.

He didn't lose a +2. He didn't get the troops to Kyiv, as you mentioned, but those would have overriden the +2 he gets in Romania from the cannon he traded. The way he swapped cards let him keep Kyiv's 2 for another turn. Those 3 cards he traded were the only way he could trade cards and use only one of his +2 territories.
If young men do not want jobs or girlfriends, maybe they are just choosing anything as an alternative to being treated badly or taken advantage of. It's a hard world and it's hard to love yourself and build the life you want for yourself. Sometimes you gotta figure that all out for yourself and how to survive before you can invite something like a job or a girlfriend into your life. 😂🎉
If the young men are choosing women (partners) or jobs that treat them badly, they are doing it wrong. Blaming "the women" for your own poor choices (or prospects) is not a good idea, not fair to "the women" and not productive. I definitely chose to be in relationships that were just plain wrong for me, and it's because I chose "not alone" over better options. Figure out how to be happy with yourself, because happy people love to be around other happy people, and that is what attracts good partners and good opportunities. If you're not happy with a situation, do whatever it takes to change it (in a positive way).
Well a simple way to fix stalemates, is by simply limiting the number of troops that can be placed and if the game goes past X number of turns it just ends and the player with the highest capital count wins. That's most like the tabletop version you'd play, right? In real life there are only so many pieces in the box and after an hour or two someone at the table might say, "Well Pete's had 3 capitals for 45 minutes and me and Repete only have our own, so lets just say Pete wins."

there are long stretches of take a card and pass but I make some big moves when I get into the middle board
