Rhule has amazing defenses his entire career. Only in Nebraska would people question a guy when they have no reason to. Huskers want to make a run for the playoffs next year. They have the schedule to make it. Rhule knows FAR more about what the program needs or doesn’t need right now. More than the fans watching from the outside.
All the negativity. Look at it like this: Rhule brought Butler in knowing that Tony White was going to leave. He had a guy ready to go as the transfer portal opened. People should be applauding his preparedness for this day but all they can do is complain and complain and complain.
Secondary was the biggest problem so now the secondary coach is the DC and we expect things will get better?? We are a special kind of stupid to believe that crap!!
I have my concerns about Mr. Butker. The 2024 front seven Blackshirts were as formidable as the 23 unit; the secondary -Butler’s unit seemed to regress.
I think we all just hope that this was not a rush job to start landing defensive transfers. I think a lot of fans don't love the hire, but they also don't necessarily hate it. We'll see.
These hires have plenty of experience especially in the NFL. That will sell itself with recruiting. To suggest that Rhule would make a hire(s) to go after transfers is crazy. He is trying to build a legacy not chase transfer portal players. He is not Deion Sanders.
“Top 20 d” except against Indiana, or UCLA, or Illinois. Tony White was inconsistent with player preparedness. You’re not going to make it to the playoffs with a DC who gives up 50+ to Indiana.
Is it Butler because he was the best guy for the job? Or because no one else wanted it? We'll get a taste in 3 weeks and we'll know for sure come September 25. Butlers DB's were awful this year. Why didn't his experience shine this year? Or does he actually try now because he's in charge?
What a waste of a hire. He has been here since before the season started and the DBs never got better all season. No other industry would people not think that it's his fault.

Exactly 💯 very well said .🫡😎
Thank you for another great video.
When the candidates u want are in the playoffs there isn't much u can do..Portal played a huge role in this decision.

I heard a lot of the players really wanted butler to be named dc and that’s kind of saying something
We will see. I liked the SMU defense coordinators resume. Butler had trouble with our secondary.

you really think a ACC DC can come in to the B10 and be successful? Eric Chins 2.0 hire. Give me a break
GO BIG RED!!!

You should have known this was going to be the next d coordinator. I called it out before the season started. He left the Bills for a reason
What is considered a flashy hire? I will take guys that have NFL coaching experience, players today like that, they don't care about flashy.
Wasn’t butlers penn state D really good?
LMAO!!!

Maybe he didn't want to go through this every two years. He picked a guy that is going to stick around.
Ok.. so Rhule made his hires... guarantee if they fail.. Rhule will not hesitate to fire and rehire someone else who can do the job!
Not true.....Shittthefield is still there.
Mikki Joseph
I love ❤️ Nebraska but I think coach Rhule could have done better he keeps hiring his friends I hope this doesn’t back fire on him go big red
All coaches talk. All coaches network. He’s not giving his buddy a job because he’s out of work and needs a job. JC.
Butler had a top 60's defense in 2013, say good bye to top 20 d in the future, Rhule sealed his fate.
Weren't they coming off near-death penalty sanctions?

Rhule either owes people favors or doesn’t care about his job. Not quite sure which side to pick.

Offense is Brad Pitt, defense is Doug Pitt.
3 more cab drivers added to the nebraska circus 🤣🤣🤣🤣
For the love of all things on Earth, get rid of the stupid 3-3-5.
D-
Not happy about it!! If you aren't happy ,something is amiss!! You don't hire friends!!
