I usually don’t shed any more than a couple tears because of songs, but this video on youtube made me absolutely cry and sob.. It’s so incredibly relateable if you are a 2nd generation immigrant, especially in Norway.
This is just one of 10 performances by Karpe, one after another. At the time, the tickets for one of the performances were probably the most sought after tickets in Norwegian history. I don't know of anyone of foreign descent, or partial, of my age or younger who didn't regret not going to one of the concerts. It was a series of historic performances by the biggest musical artists in Norway today. The year before they made musical history by inviting their most ardent fans to a mansion they bought and renovated solely for private conserts/performances during the C-19 lockdowns. They almost went bankrupt but still went ahead with the promised private concerts/performances. They're insane, but in a good way.
Thank you for this reaction! I'm so hooked on Karpe at the moment, and this is my favourite live performance of them❤️ It really hurts my soul in both a good way and a bad way💔 Really love all your reactions from Norway❤ Keep it up!
Norwegians know how to unlock our hearts, Aurora, Susanne Sundfør, Ane Brun, Sivert Høyem (Madrugada), Ane Brun, +++ And not to forget Emilie Nicolas, which is someone you already know. These guys didn't fail the test of being born and raised in Norway. Is it the water ? Or is it "You raise me up so I can Stand on mountains, you raise me up to more than I can be" ? Thank you for sharing your thoughts that always are very reflected.
@@HighlyCombustibleReactsDone. Thanks for letting me know! Thought it would be great with a Karpe throwback song included in your reaction series of them
sending thanks from norway for tuning into karpe. all theyr live performances i would say are worth listening to ill put my bell on active here in case it pops up some more. thanks
There are interesting interviews with Karpe unfortunately not translated to English. At this stage of their life they want to honor their parents and tell their parent’s stories. Magdi is married and has 4 kids. Chirag is single and has no kids. How do they manage to stay together as the duo Karpe? Magdi said: We complement each other. I love to check out and experiment with the herbs and spices. Chirag always asks what is the main dish? For each kid I got, Chirag understandably got fearful, thinking “now what? How will this affect us?” I spend less time on Karpe because I want to be with my kids, but I want to compensate by achieving a higher quality. They bought an old mansion in Skien in 2018 and spent several millions on renovations making it an event building, studio. To the point they started wondering if they would go broke. In the documentary “wall, wall, wall” they get the question “if you knew when you started this process how much it would cost, and how much time it would take, would you have done it again? Magdi with a family: Yes! with excitement in his eyes. Chirag: No! Never!
Makes me cry every single time - and I'm not even a migrant child from a foreign culture.
Being there, was a life changing experience :-D Sticks to my heart and soul for the rest of my life..
This is amazing, and the lyrics. It really gives me perspective how it is to be an imigrant from a different culture.
Fantastic reaction to a fantastic performance.

I was there - will never ever forget the atmosphere, the intense moments and the pure joy of Karpe and the fans :)
