„A little bit of overkill never hurt anyone…“ - A-10 Pilots, probably
"There's no kill like overkill."
"If a thing's worth doing, it's worth overdoing."
Being a former infantryman in the Marine Corps there isn't much of a bigger morale booster being on the ground in country and seeing that you have air cover. That last bit was very cool to see and brought back some memories. On a side note for you hard chargers out there, I'm still a Marine, just a former 3011.
I always thought that though the explosions and fire effects may not look that good they sure do look amazing in thermals.
I love the final scene you put in with A10 with them buzzing the troops. Epic.
Let's just say, there's a reason our ground troops love the A-10. You get a flight of them rolling through, the guys on the ground don't have to do anything for a little while.
Well, as long as the enemy air defense isn't anything bigger than a DShK, anyway.
@@wurfyy dodged 3+ missiles fairly well, and that's not even bothering to take the A-10s durability into the equation. Pucker factor for sure still but it would rarely be a single A-10 as well. Bare minimum air task force I'd say is probably 1-2 A-10s with an F15 loitering somewhere up around 30k ft
I see them train in groups no less that 4, occasionally in 2 by 2s but usually just 4+ in formation.
@@wurfyy that's why you let the wild weasels and strike aircraft clean that up beforehand
The recent reality was any military aircraft overhead would silence enemy action
@@jackhall290 As if those missiles would have bothered other aircraft.
Iraq showed exactly how capable the A-10 is. They stopped sending A-10s against Iraqi Republican Guard because they kept getting shot down or taken out of action for too long.
Man I remember CAS in A-10 Cuba in 1995. That gun is such a confidence builder.
Gotta love how they have the troops on the ground cheering a A10 gun run. Every ground pounder, loved A10 gun runs especially with the Brrrtttt!
Scary to know that even when that bird is flying away from you it's still got an eyeball watching... 😱
I'm an old 11B20 here and can say that your air support is very much appreciated, beers are on me.
That ending brought tears to my eyes. It’s been nearly 20 years already but you never forget that feeling.
As an old a-10 guy (2w0 or 461 for the dinosaurs 😂) these vids put a smile on my face. Everyone who worked on these beasts loves the CAS role and supporting our troops on the ground!
Keep the A-10 content coming, GS. Loads of fun to watch, especially the cherry-on-top post-drop interaction with friendlies.
That is SUCH a good-looking machine. I can't understand why people think it's ugly. It just LOOKS like the job it's so good at. Muscle.
Being a former tanker it's cool to see what a pilot would see. When I was at NTC we had A10 support. We were cruising along in a Company V when my CO gets on comms and calls for support. Sitting in the driver seat I'm oblivious to the call in. All of a sudden I see the 30 Mike Mike then the BRRRT. SCARED THE EVER LOVING PISS OUT OF ME!!!! Glad the A10 is on our side.
GS, in case you didn't know, DMS left long will put the TGP display inside the HMCS if you have it SOI.
Who doesn't LOVE that sound? 🙂 I also love the delighted ecstatic whoops and laughter of our guys on the ground at seeing an A-10 obliterate the bad guys with DP rounds! (I hope they don't breathe any of the dust, though.)
Man, your videos get better and better every time! The secondary camera angles on the planes, the ground troops coming in, and the Battlefield music at the end is just awesome to watch! Keep up the great work my guy!
So... first of all, thank you so much for all of your content GS. You're amazing and not a single one of your videos falls short. Secondly, I can now say that I'm a proud owner of the Thrustmaster HOTAS setup and have been learning a TON this past week. I've been a long time sub and wanted to share with you that YOU are the reason why I'm now exploring the beautiful world of DCS. Much love
You didn’t get the HOTAS One or other equivalent, did you? Because it’s the worst purchase I ever made and I would not recommend it to anyone. I hate that they are getting DCS UA-camrs to advertise it. It’s 100% shit
I love these missions! I mean, the dogfights are epic, but there's just something visceral about an effective A-10 hunt. Love it.
Love the a10 stuff, keep it up. Maybe do some ww2 stuff as well on dcs.
A10 videos are my fav! A10 attacks the ground like the F22 Raptor attacks the air. Impressive
Regardless of how you feel about the A10's abilities, or lack there of, flying a real one has to be an absolute kick in the keister. New hog vids are always an instant watch for me 👍
Impossible to not love the A-10 and your skills!
Absolutely loved that ending with the flyby on friendly forces. So sick. Reminds me of OLDDDD vids on UA-cam in the early 2000s
Best parts of my childhood was watching the Hogs and Falcons fly over my house on their way to and from the bombing range, in Sumter SC (Shaw AFB)
Heard the Brrrt many times a day 😊
“Shoutout to the American tax payer who is sponsoring this bomb drop.” 😂😂😂😂 7:12
Gotta love the BRRRRRRRTTTT! And nice job making sure the friendlies didn't have to deal with those dastardly TENTS! Damn things are vicious! 🤣
A10C has to be my favourite content. I just love this beast.
Awesome man! Absolutely love the voice over cheer from the boys at the end there!
I love the A-10 vids man, dropping some freedom on two unsuspecting combatants got me rolling with laughter
I have the Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle and Stick, The Thrustmaster TPR Rudder Peddles and two of the button displays. I'm 63 years old and kinda new to using a PC, so I'm fighting my controls trying to figure out how and the best way to set them up. I've had no luck so far. I can fly the A10 but have not figured out just how to lock onto anything yet. I guess I need to keep trying to do the training stuff. LOL 😅 LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. THEY ARE HELPING, I'M JUST A SLOW LEARNER I GUESS. LOL 😂
One of your best in recent weeks, - really proficient in the A10!
Man, you have some quality comedy moments in your vids. Just now I'm laughing at 'shoutout to the American taxpayer who is sponsoring this bomb drop (on two enemy soldiers)'.
There aren't many channels I like, in fact, I basically don't watch any expect for some science and history stuff - but yours is an exception because it's this combination of quality, truthfulness (to yourself), healthy fun, interesting scenarios to watch (I prefer jet fighter standoffs though), casual. That's what makes this channel different from a lot of others, that are overly-elaborate or trying to look professional, trend/meme -following, pretentious... you these kinds of things.
I have been binge watching a10 videos last week and then you drop this. Perfect timing brotha.
The A-10 continues to be one of my favorite aircraft in DCS. The A-10 is dopamine incarnate and I love it.
love this missions with A10. Its not really an old plane. Still having great effect, great systems,...
pass over at the end of video gave me chills
Hi, disabled combat veteran and American taxpayer here; thank you for the good use of GBU-54 :) Leave the ordinance with them, don't bring it back home :)))
A-10 is not a fighter, but the pure shenanigans it causes makes it one of my favorites.
That last bombing run was very scary almost..."in tents"
Using a JDAM on 2 insurgents sounds strangely realistic
Dude your videos are awesome. Love the battlefield theme music at the end, brings back memories when battlefield was fun. Got into flying jets in battlefield, now dcs is the only way. Keep up the great work!
LOVE the A-10C content!
BRRRrRT!!!
Thats a very dear sound for all military aircraft and DCS fans
Thank you, and thank you again for that
Nothing left, but hair, teeth and eyeballs among the smoldering carnage. Good Job!
You never fail to disappoint!!
GS back in the Hog! Hoorah!
the a10 battlefield music outro is the best thing ever we need more of those!!!
Someone’s been asking for AH64 v Su57 and I second this notion
I know most people think the A10 is ugly but I absolutely love it, when I first saw one I thought it had a rugged, non modern, but cool look, then I saw it in action, learned about the main gun and the plane being built around it, that it is one of the most devastating weapons in the air or on land, that it can carry many many other weapons, that the pilot and essential systems are protected by a titanium tub with a canopy that can take 20mm rounds, that it can still fly with one engine blown off and only one wing, and the upgrades done over the years, when I learned all this over some time it became in my mind a beast, unrivaled in its class, it is a badass plane that is great at CAS work, and can kill anything armoured, it is a nasty piece of work that I am glad I will never be on the receiving end of, but I am glad we have it
Two guys out for a walk, minding their business and.......💥☠️☠️👻👻🤣
Incredible. This video just made me realize how much more deadly the A10 Warthog really is and why I love it that much more now. I'm glad John McCain rejected General Welsh's plan to retire the Warthog. That would if been a serious and very costly mistake to replace them with the F35.
Thank you for taking out those dangerous tents. The world is a whole lot safer now.
2 types of people to NEVER be trusted -
1: People who hate the A-10C Warthog
2: People the A-10C Warthog hates
Your A-10 videos never fail to entertain. Heck any Attack aircraft sortie is interesting.
6:18 min, Nock nock who's there😁that is a way to ring the doorbell😂
Generals gathered in their masses, just like witches at black masses
I loved the pink 2004 Ford F-150 with the twin 23mm mo8unt in back. He fought valiantly, but he failed.
Love me some A-10 content. I just love seeing what they're capable of.
I love these A10 videos!
7:54
1 : "Yeah, I mean, it's not like they'll know."
2 : "You know them: they probably gonna kill us anyway."
1: "That's why you can't tell anyone."
2: "I won't. I'm just afraid they already kno--"
Ground support is fascinating to me. There is so much at stake.
Epic video and INCREDIBLE OUTRO!
I love a10 content. Thank you for the episode more please 🙏
there is no kill like over kill. I remember when the A-10C came out on DCS and it was the second full fidelity aircraft. just wish I had a computer that would support it now. it's been 10 years since I was able to fly on DCS and I miss it.
You would think flying the Hog would be a lot of "Screeeeech!","Buurrrrrt!" and repeat, but most of it is just peering into tiny screens and pushing buttons. 😅
Yeah, it's mostly slave the thing to thing and push the thing or lock the thing and hold the thing for release.
I'm supposed to pay attention to my business analysis training, which I'm following remotely, but this is so much more interesting!
JTAC: You see that tank over there?
A-10 Pilot: yup
JTAC: I don't want to.
Love the BRRRRRRRTTTT at the end!!!
>Sidewinder talking about a JDAM on 2 insurgents<
Me> That's a little bit of overkill isn't it?
Sidewinder> Is that overkill? Yeah probably...
😂 Love it when you talk back @Growling Sidewinder!
New to the channel but loving the videos especially the WW2 ones and the IL2 videos so I’d like to request some more of those!
Great video! I love the A-10 content!
Absolutely loving the BF3/4 themes in these few videos
Just a Warthog doing Warthog things. You love to see it.
GS in the A10 - "Just gonna drop a laser guided bomb on a few locals going for a walk, then pickle an innocent party of people... ah there's the primary objective"
Command - "What do you mean you've got no bombs left GS?!"
GS - "It's cool i've got it covered"
Brrrt!
It'd be cool if added one or two Mi-24 Hind's and or Ka-50 Black Shark into these scenarios! So your forced into using those Fox2's ;)👍
Hi Mr. Sidewinder!!
I know this sounds like a hassle, but what do you think of the idea of telling us your loadout before each mission?
I mean, judging by the look of it @ about 0:22, I would guess that you have 3 x 2,000 lbs bombs, 2 x 1,000 lbs (or possibly 2x500lbs) bombs, 6 x AGMs (either hellfire or Maverick AGMs), 1 small unguided rocket pod (12 inch?), 4 x sidewinder AAMs, 1 x IR pod or EO pod.
I'd be interested to know what your actual loadout is on this mission, but also for every mission, really. If it's not a huge hassle, I'd really like it if you made mention of it, as we fly into the maw of the MAR...
Go Growling love the ground pounding! I fly the A-10 too.
A-10 weapons vet here. Not much better than seeing a slick A-10 coming back home...
This is freakin badass.
Maximum A-10 disprespect: Laser guided GBU for 2 foot soldiers. Gun run with traditional brrrrt brrrttt, flares and victory roll for the actual HVT. Classic.
You’re having just a little too much fun in that A10 mister!! 😂😂
Thanks for the brrrrt-brrrrt-brrrrt at 14:17 👍🏽
I’ve been screaming “USE THE GAU” at my phone this entire video. Lol
Great video, love the A-10 just completed your mission which was very well put together, will you be doing anymore for the A-10 ? the grunts cheering at the end was awesome, well done 👍
This was a Nice type of vid glad u did something a little different from the norm
Love your videos men. I'm a new player in DCS, flight simulators are my passion. But unfortunately I'm struggling with dcs a bit.... The tutorials (training) for each airplane are difficult to understand. A simple drop of a bomb I just have to Google it or watch UA-cam to see how it's done. But even though I'm loving it
that last flyby lets go man awsome video
The A10C2 is the absolute most fun to me. Especially when you can equip 56 apkws laser rockets and some 500lb bombs and clear an entire objective solo. Got 44+ ground kills and 1 air to air in 30 min. And cleaned the objective so went home.
literally got goosebumps on the gau sound at the end
I know I'm in the minority, but I love the air-to-ground stuff even more than the dog fighting.
It would be cool if we could see you stay on station waiting for a JTAC to designate some targets for you to strike after your initial bombardment of the area that would be cool.
All you left for those friendlies to clean up was hair, teeth and eyeballs 😂
That was fun man. What a great show.

Bro... ibwas so nervous you were gonna miss those tents. Thank God they didn't escape.😂
You sure sound very similar to kitboga . Maybe you are ....
_How_ do your countermeasures work so well when pounding ground?
