I've loved Shirley Temple (Black) my entire life. I grew up watching her movies. And then when she was in most of the movies in her teens. She was a triple threat - beauty, brains, immense talent! And she was my idea of the All-American girl (even into adulthood) with her kindness, elegance, poise, warmth, and generosity. She was one of a kind! Yep, they broke the mold when they made her. What a gal!
Couldn’t have articulated this better myself if I tried. She not only melted and captivated hearts worldwide, refused to release them once they were hers, she taught life lessons and skills through her films, she helped make this world a sweeter place than when she found it, and on a more personal note, she both guided me and even saved my life a time or two or three. ❤😊

Remember that until she was 16 Shirley was always a year younger than she actually was due to the fact that her Mother wanted to keep her looking like a child for as long as she could. It must have been quite a surprise to her to eventually find out her true age.
