I remember the first time i got to him in the true arena. I was smugly sitting there with three or four hits worth of health left on me saying "Yeah, I got this" untill getting him to half health and remembering from meta knightmare returns that it ACTUALLY IS Galacta knight and not a clone so he has two phases and screaming "wait, SHIT. I DO NOT HAVE THIS!" And then promptly dying to his sword launching attacks because I was too busy shitting myself to dodge effectively. (1:47 these attacks.) The next time I got to him the shock and awe was no longer a factor and I only took damage from him twice. I beat him, but things only got worse from there. Eventually I did beat the true arena, but it took 4 months. 3:22 always loved that last touch. Just like old times.
Mr. Sakurai stopped making Kirby games a long time ago (hence all the Kirby stuff in smash is of pretty old games). If there's anyone you should thank, it's Mr. Kumazaki and the rest of HAL labs.

Most of its attacks are so delayed and obviously telegraphed that I'm surprised this is meant to be a difficult boss. I know Kirby games usually are easy, but it's supposed to be at a very late point in the game. Where's the difficulty spike? I think Kirby was made overpowered with the dodge mechanic.
Eh,the galacta knight bosses arent that hard but i cant say not challenging,it took me a month to beat the true arena bcs of the guy,and its not one of his latest encounters so i think they made it a tiny bit easy cus if these attacks were TOOOO fast,TOOOO strong,imagine how hard it would be
Yes, the dodging is kind of an "easy mode" type mechanic. I think it's a lot more fun to actually dodge the attacks the intended ways by weaving and jumping around attacks, instead of using the same dodge move to avoid every single one. It takes away the uniqueness of each attack, and it's a lot more challenging to do it without them.
Does anybody know the name of the song from the first phase of this fight? I get why everyone likes the second phase theme better but I thought first phase was underrated

I understand that in super star ultra he used his own theme for the entire battle but here I think it works because it adds to the drama

Just don't use the dodge
Yes, the dodging is kind of an "easy mode" type mechanic. I think it's a lot more fun to actually dodge the attacks the intended ways by weaving and jumping around attacks, instead of using the same dodge move to avoid every single one. It takes away the uniqueness of each attack, and it's a lot more challenging to do it without them.
Maybe that's why DMK is considered harder
