These crazy hands, Kai... 😱 I don't know what I would do with the north hand: it's just such a bizarro situation. Hard to say whether the "two places to play" 4NT bid is better than just directly bidding your lowest suit as south. You really sprung a strange one on poor Gabor!
Change the hand slightly to 0=6=5=2 or the like and now you want to fail to read the 6S to get partner to bid 7H so you can XX the X with both hands void in spades. :)
After 6Spades I twigged partner is trying to right side the contract - so the right bid is 7 clubs - partner should then bid 7 diamonds and then you bid 7 hearts. The reason you bid 7clubs is if partner has AKQJ, A, void AKQJTxxx type of hand. Because you bid 6 diamonds over the 5 spades it is obvious you have the reds so partner can safely bid 7 diamonds knowing you aren't going to pass 🙂
I hate the spade bids without prior discussion. Why torture your partner like that? This is not the time. Either you have an agreement or just bid 6H and be done with it.
@@jyutzler I concur. If this were not a team game I would be highly tempted to pass 6 spades unless I knew partner wasn't doing it just to torture me. I don't mind exchanging a zero for a lesson. ... or a new partner.

When something like this actually happened to me in a Tucson sectional about 40 years ago turned out partner had to pee!
Lol that's one way to be sure you are dummy!

I disagree Paul - I think it is a good hand.
