I feel confident that if my white Southern momma was still here, she would be disgusted with many members of our family. She died in 2000, but she hated trump back in the 80s because of his racist policies (not allowing blacks to rent his tacky apartments) and especially for the brutal way he treated Ivana, his first wife. He beat, raped, and tore her hair out of her scalp because he blamed HER for his bad scalp-reduction surgery, because he used her plastic surgeon.

The leader that my mom loved back in the 60s was MLK. She quit her S. Baptist church in the early 1960s because they were against the Civil Rights Act of 1964. She didn't stop being a Christian though, she looked to leaders who most behaved as Christ taught. MLK taught LOVE, even to those who don't deserve it.

It's strange that every time I watch a video showing migrants at the border, it's _mostly_ women and children. They don't look scary at all.
In 2017 I looked into maybe becoming a sponsor for a single woman immigrant with a child, as I have an extra bedroom. I was told that isn't a "thing" and if it was, my home wouldn't be adequate because I don't have normal utilities. I've had no electric bill for 17 years because I live off-grid on solar/wind/batteries.
I've seen the comment so many times, "Then why don't you let them live at your house?"

So what if the trillionaire class and corporations paid their taxes and you could get universal healthcare? What if housing prices were regulated? What if consortiums weren't allowed to take tens of thousands of homes off the market? What if worker conditions and salaries were protected by the existence of unions? What if college tuition and loans were regulated? Then you could have afforded to have a bigger family.
These are great suggestions, you should think about sending an email to the DNC to consider for legislation, it would benefit millions of Americans
