For people who are not auction wise--what they are saying is the dollar amount, then "Quarter" "Half" "Seventy-five" and then the next dollar amount. This is a chant that would be used to sell "Weigh-up" livestock, in other words, livestock being sold by the pound. They were selling at about 80 cents.
