I think dark angels beat out blood angels. The fights first on a lot of the inner circle companions make them unchargable since they can pretty much kill the entire blood angels squad. Lemartes with Deathwing marines with jump packs survive the best against them I believe and the inner circle companions still kill about half of the unit even if AoC is used, and the one with lemartes are the only unit that’ll survive good, without lemartes around 7 are dead even with AoC and without AoC basically the whole squad dies. And the callidus can be positioned to make that AoC very expensive. I think it’s a pretty good counter to blood angels, the deathwing knights don’t even die on average to the death company marines on the charge, and both the inner circle companions and Deathwing knights are highly deadly to them. And of course Deathwing marines are more expensive than Deathwing knights (for the big unit that is) and more expensive than inner circle companions for the unit, so if they get smoked by them it’s a positive trade.
Audio sounded dope and glad to have yall back. Kauyon was mentioned as the best tau detachment but you didnt go into why. Any thoughts on ret cad or montka in the current state of the game?
Yea I think for singles RC + montka are potentially more viable? However in teams T'au are better as a take all commers defensive list we both belive, so Kauyon suits there better.
Yea I think DE are 'OK', they definitely have play across the board. I imagine they might struggle into both DA/BA + 3MVB Tsons. Quite terrain dependent though. One of the big advantages is that not many people play DE at a very high level, so opponents are likely to not be experienced vs them.
I just wish a DA DW army was good. I don't want power armour stuff. Just 15-30 knights, 15-30 terminators and terminator characters. Maybe dreadnoughts/contemptors.
Honestly you probably could play gladius with mostly terminators and a little gravis and it would be quite good. It’s not exactly all terminator, but it’s a similar feel. You can take 3x Deathwing knights, azrael on his own, a repulsor with apothecary biologist and eradicator and fire discipline, and then fill in the rest with terminator models. It’s not quite all terminators, but it’s a pretty close feel. And you can fit like 4 more terminator units in I believe.
