My kids were attacked on a bx 35 and the bus driver did nothing. They only care when one of theirs gets hurt! Fare evasion shouldn’t be their concern it’s too costly and mta and the city of New York are not your friends and damn sure do not even begin to have the coverage for something like this attack. I say this because about 10 years ago mta bus driver was stabbed to death for trying to kick someone off that hadn’t paid. It’s just not worth it. I pay my fares and I see people hop the turnstiles or hop on the back of the bus it isn’t my fight and it shouldn’t be the fight of drivers or conductors. Fare evasion is illegal and I personally pay my fare but it just isn’t worth taking a risk with any of our lives especially in a city that can’t even handle itself when it comes to crime control. Well wishes to the driver and you all be safe out there.

Oh big talk from a union boss. Boohoo. All talk no action. All Adams or Hochul have to do is give the union a smooth sales talk with an envelope full of cash and they'll back down. Next week the union will come out and say the mayor has given us assurances and the governor takes these matters seriously. Nothing is gonna happen, dont be fooled there not gonna do anything. If they really wanted to send a strong message they would all walk off the job for 5 days and cripple the city. Then maybe that might get some attention.

Really? Crimnals get their guns through illegal means. Why is this always about legal gun ownership when illegal guns are never acknowledged? In this day and age, it is possible to make guns with 3D technology. Why is that rarely discussed? If you make it virtually impossible for people to legally own guns--guess what they would get them illegally! Legal gun owners should not be criticized for the actions of a few and yet that is what constantly happens. In Canada in the last week, Treadeau announced that he is putting a ban on all gun sales in the country which will take effect soon. Guess what, everyone is running out buying guns. You see how that backfired already. Bad policies in NYC has emboldened criminals. Instead of this being just about gun control, why are people not talking about that. Our feckless politicians are creating problem with their soft on crime stance. We can not continue this way. Time for change!!!

I was a cleaner at Stilwell Train Station in 2000 and work 10 :00 pm to 6:00 am and the summer was the worst time to work cause lots of time People comes from Coney Island drunk and with bad attitude and we have to stay put and do nothing until one night 3 guys came in my work area cursing at me and throwing chicken bone at me and one hit me in the head I told him to control his emotions So kept doing so I went outside and pick up my dust pan very heavy metal I took a swing and knock him out and the other went running and I hold on to him until the unión guys came and the police .no one knew That I'm a Combat Heavy Engineering and a Sgt. Cause that was my 1 week at work .The Train Operator came forward and support it me and told them what happens.now the Busses here in NY has to put with a lot of situations with no protection from every body

MTA sucks, including bus drivers, subways drivers and stuff. I witness very often on the busses how bus drivers let group of young black people on the bus without paying fare, and not wearing face musks. Same story on subways! Some people jumping over turnstile and MTA employees at the tickets office pretend like nothing happened, they keep reading newspaper or playing games on their phones.Elevator and escalator on Court Square station (G, M & 7 trains) in Queens are out of service for about 4 months and no one is there to work on it. I reported to MTA employee almost every day about elevator problem but no one cares. YOU and ONLY YOU MTA let this happen on the public transport. On Lexington Ave & 59th Street stop, lower level 4 & 5 train station is horror station, marihuana free place. I know MTA employees know all I am talking about but pretend like they don't. I want to ask you MTA how am I protected on your trains and busses as a passenger? MTA stop with complain and fix an elevator and escalator on Court Square station or at least stop with an announcement how the stop is accessible. Please do your job with some dignity and respect your costumers, not bums and criminals. You are responsible for crime on NYC public transport.
