I’ve been drooling over this one for years but kept going back and forth between it and the Jazzmaster day date automatic black dial bracelet which I’ve also wanted for many many years. Ashford had the Hamilton classic American railroad on sale last week for $360. looked nice, I couldn’t find much info on it but after looking around I could see the price was great so I ordered it out of curiosity. The Jazzmaster I’ve always wanted showed up instead… 😇 I ordered this one the next day, can’t wait for it to arrive.
This is one of those watches that delivers more than the sum of its parts. It is a definite keeper for me. Great day date, easy viewing and has very nice lume.
I have this and the Murph. The Cooper is by far my favorite. I can't even describe how those numbers pop when even a small amount of light catches them. It's like there's a light behind the dial. I got mine on the leather strap to keep that pilot watch look. The leather is nice and the two pin buckle is cool. Love this watch.
I can't find any info about the AR coating but I've never thought glare was an issue with the Cooper. My only problem with the Murph is thar the faux patina on the hour markers make it difficult to read unless I'm in very good light. Trust me this is not a problem with the Cooper.@@jeffd3802
Just picked this up with the discount code thanks Rob. I’m coming over on a recommendation from Dirk’s channel I’m a knife collector but it was only a matter of time before I had to pick up a nice automatic watch. Time to take the Apple Watch off and try it out lol.
I don’t watch the movie cause almost everyone says I “must watch”. I don’t like to be told to do things. So now my tombstone will say “never watched Interstellar, never ate a Big Mac”
@@RandomRobReviews Don't do what the masses say to do...treat yourself! @@RandomRobReviews lol I do the same thing. I refused to watch Dexter because so many people told me I had to. I was eventually literally forced to, hated it. Interstellar is a pretty good flick and worth a watch (no pun intended) but it’s not an “ohmygod you have to see this!” movie.
Man bri not exaggerating here, for years like 8 years. I have seen so many watch’s. But this one is still too 2-3 on my List as best watches. The look. The purpose and quality with price point. Works perfect for me. I count minutes and I need dates for work. Day date better. I’m a welder rancher and pilot nerd and motorcycle track dayer, and for every day use I always tend to pick this one outta my box. It’s perfect for erry day. Well at least for me and how I tell time. I have to read the exact min. Maybe that is an aviation think in me
Rob my only complaint is that the Day & Date Wheels are White. While Hamilton makes a "Field Watch" with Black Day & Date Wheels that I am certain would fit, "the Cooper". That being said. I bought the Blue Dial version, which is less of a severe contrast with the white ... Yes, I'm very happy with that Purchase.
Had one but I sold it since it is not with the regular ETA. I just could not stand the stuttering seconds hand since the modded Hamilton movement doubled the power reserve at the expense of slower moving hand.
I love to buy this watch but I would not do business anywhere in California. I'll go ahead and use Amazon with a local Texas seller and purchase this watch priced at a little over $600.
Watch Interstellar! Top 5 movies of all time.
That’s a true fact
Right? Such an odd remark “will not watch”. It’s a great film.
Just bought this from Mimo a week ago. It is a MUST have for any watch collector.

I really love my Cooper. It is a great everyday watch and the 80 hour power reserve makes this watch a great value.
That's the Hamilton I'd like to have. This watch is just f**ing amazing. That dial and those hands. Great watch.
Had mine a good few years now and love it.
Since the watch is pretty much all dial it seems HUGE on my wrist atleast 39-40mm size would be perfection.
I got the 46mm version and it's awesome. It also has the older movement in it so it's buttery smooth.
i picked this up recently. it is a really nice watch, definitely a keeper for me.
this watch made me watch the movie and I'm glad it did, it's a great movie
I agree!

Have this watch and it's one my favorites... It works with every outfit, at least for me. Definitely a no-trade, no-sell.

Does this Cooper have ar coating? 1 of the downfalls with the murph was the lack of ar coating tge crystal had 2 much glare and i ended up selling it.

I just bought this piece last week. Put it on a leather strap and it looks and feels amazing on my wrist. I really like it. Great video!

I have one and it is one my fav watches. So many unique features
Love the watch and the movie but I wish the watch came in a smaller size. Nice vid Rob!
why won't you watch it?
Yeah, why? :)
I own the chronograph version of this watch and love it. Why wont you watch the movie Interstellar? It is a really great movie.
Yeah Rob,why won't you watch the movie!!

@@RandomRobReviews Never ever watch interstellar. Whatever you do, DONT watch it. Definitely not top 3 movies I have ever seen. 👀😂
They watch is fine but the movie is one of the best I have ever watched.
Have both Interstellar Hamiltons, the Murph and the Cooper. Wish the Murph had a smoother highbeat movement.
Why won't you watch Interstellar
Definitely should watch the movie. Great film, and one of the few films that make me genuinely tear up.
Yeah I didn’t understand the resistance to watching the movie either
after you said that you did not watch and will not watch interstellar, I realized that I will not watch your video too. Cheers

Do you recommend it for a 6.5 inch wrist?
Nice watch. GREAT movie. Like the overall flieger style, though I'm not a fan of this one's non-traditional day/date cluttering up the dial.

Hello. This watch should have 2834-2 movement beating at 28kHz. Why do you say it is different one with 21kHz? Did they have different versions?
Had one but I sold it since it is not with the regular ETA. I just could not stand the stuttering seconds hand since the modded Hamilton movement doubled the power reserve at the expense of slower moving hand.
Wear this one for 3 yrs, best 600$ ever spent
i have it, its ok...
Focus optional.

Hamilton seems to have the same set of problems with most of their watches, they just 2 out of 3:
- Bad lume
- 50m WR and less
- 42+ mm
I like the watch, except for the aviation numbering. I’m not a pilot and the numbers are useless.
Too big, tbh. 🤔
Why would you wanna watch that movie?
you’re not gonna watch the movie? wow you’re so special. wish I was you
