Man, if they printed more than 10 of these starter sets, me and my nerds would be playing this already. Now we're gonna have to sit and wait to see if they re-print it, and just spend our money on other shit in the mean time XD
Digital E-book rules are always available print or not. The starter set although ideal, is not the only way to jump in. Grab a rulebook Battletech: Alpha Strike (fast play rules) or Total Warfare for traditional rules. Add models of your choice to taste.
Don't get discouraged! I've been a 'mech warrior for 20 years, and I'm still learning stuff. But most of us veterans are GLAD to teach! Ask questions! (Hell, I've been in the game 20 years, and I have spare time. Ask away if you want!)
@@Apollo-js8rn thanks for the offer. Sorry it’s a year after that I saw it haha. I’m waiting for the clan Kickstarter to turn up sometime soon (hopefully) then get some games with a couple of mates. We’ll start simple - maybe not even a full lance.
I do this too. Also gives me an incentive to help with the house cleaning (I can't turn the living/dining room into a game table if it gets messy. That part of the house is within LOS of the kitchen so...yyyeah, the wife and I both win on that one.)
@@Apollo-js8rn my wife is my gaming partner! We share that hooby with great moments and I've a tinny house, but is big with all the joy that this hobby bring to us!
Finally, someone hinted at explaining modifiers. Also thinking for tech readout sheet, if you got a tablet, you might be able to download the sheet for each mech, save as a template, and do all the "paperwork" digitally?
It would be really nice if you put some visual effort into your videos. Like show some dice, show the maps, show the books, boxes etc. The verbal is good, but so low effort otherwise.
Just getting back in. Got the beginner box and clan box. The main box is currently out. Also found some older mechs.
For tracking heat you could use a paperclip on the mech sheet and move it.

Another good video. I’ve actually started wit BattleTech recently and it’s hard to work it all out.

Its a heavier game for sure. What is sad is eventually you learn those charts by memory... Played for 26 years now.

This will be my Christmas gift to myself. I'm planning to play with my wife in the Holidays.

Good stuff brother, keep up the good work.
We have been using d20 spindown dice to keep track of heat.

What about the Clan invasion Box and the other books
Affiliate links to these products would be good for you and the viewer.
I feel so late to this game. Used to play 40k Tyranids and khorne chaos
