Soooo I just ordered the two army starter box, paints for each, brushes and everything I need to get started with this game! So happy I found your channel! Watching the game being played made it THAT much cooler!

Another great batrep. Interesting format with the All-in-One boxes. It looked liked your first "Turn Seeven" ever! Hahahaa...but it would probably be really hard to film these kind of batreps and use a deathclock at the same time. Thanks again for making the best batreps on UA-cam.
Freezing grip is such an awesome spell.
true - Freezing is nice but pGrissel should be able to handle that with Cacophony. That is after all her best ability, specially on feat turn when it has 12" bubble. Also it was interesting to see a TB playing using Grissels hoof-in to hit and run not Press forward getting into the action where the TBs are doing damage.
I just bought the box (supplemented with pButcher and a unit of Machaniks), and I was happy to see it perform. Totally agree about switching clam 'jacks. As always, a great batrep!
Your videos are awesome, your the only Warmahorde batrep videos I watch now since miniwargaming went through that phase of all the random achievements.

Both sides had many bad dice roles which dragged the game, but hey that's part of it.
Thought that the army in a box head to head game was really good. I think it also came down to the luck of the roll at times. But Miranda and her opponent are both skilled gamers and that led to the more than typical turn based game. And for me i enjoyed that even more. What Miranda said about a war of attrition I feel shows that the army boxes used had to be pretty well balanced even tho both players opinions urged some change out of different models. Overall, as usual, excellently played, excellently filmed and edited and narrated by the very lovel Miranda aka WarGamerGirl! Thanks for the great post.
Gotta love the Sorscha bullet, lol. eSorscha is just wonderful fun with her sudden (non-linear) assassination runs from pretty crazy distances, haha.

Damn those Winter Guard were absolute beasts in this game. Between Iron Flesh & Joe they become some really tough grunts.

I think that the Blitzer could have been utilized more aggressively if Grissel had cast Rage on it. It goes from a pillow-fisted P+S 15 to a very dangerous 18. Throw that in with virtuoso, and they're a credible threat.
What a brutal grind! Haha. I think I prefer the Devastator over the Demolisher as well. I wish I could find the focus to run two Spriggans though. I love those things. Great report!

Good game. I like the smaller games, as well. I just won the Khador battle box at Blood and Iron over the weekend, and I'm going to try checking them out. I may just film my first WarMachine (as opposed to Hordes) game. :)
You roll like I do! Need a 4 to hit? Roll a 10. Dice -6 on damage? Roll a 5.....

Reminds me of a match I recently had versus Trollbloods. I don't remember how many turns it went on for, but we started with 35 points, and by the time we were done we'd each taken at least a couple turns with just our Warcaster/Warlock remaining on the table. Turns out that a duel between Severius and Doomshaper is not exactly a battle of the champions. :P
Everyone always asks about the immovable object vs the unstoppable force. This is the two immovable objects squaring off.

What a knock-down, drag-out fight. Quite a Pyrrhic victory for Khador.
Wow I've never seen a video game with such amazing 3D graphics.
I know that the demolisher is quite a bit reviled but personally, I love him, especially with eSorscha. Once bonded to Sorscha, the opposing army will do one of two things; throw everything they can at it in the hopes that they can one-round it. Otherwise, after failing to crack that insane amour 25, every enemy model within melee range of the demolisher is now stationary and is looking down at two 4inch templates coming down the demolisher's shoulder cannons.
And bear in mind, with bulldoze, it's quite easy for the demolisher to wedge himself where he needs to in the midst of infantry that has no chance in hell of hurting him and will freeze stiff the following turn. What's not to love?
I've never played Warmachine before, but I've decided to give it a shot, so I'm picking up the Cygnar Army-In-A-Box. Hopefully that force will be a solid start for me.

Great report! I do have Khador Army in the Box. Just bought it 2 weeks ago. I really like all stuff that's inside. But I've made some changes to the list. I've dropped War Dog and took Beast 09 instead of Spriggan. I like it better this way. Haven't tried using it with Devastator yet, only Demolisher.
+Rafal Maj Beast09 is ALWAYS a good buy, the bond with Sorscha is really powerful.

Fantastic video! I really enjoy your camera and editing work. Top notch stuff. Honestly, I may get lynched here for saying this but watching batreps for Warmachine enforces the reasons why I dislike the game with a passion. Oddly enough because I LOVE the models and consider PP to be a brilliantly incredible company that has really embraced the wargame community.

So far I have all the all-in-one boxes so I can try and get friends to play. It's great having the all-in-one battle reports available to send them to so they can see how to play the armies as well. More, more, more!
P.S. If you were to pick a Hordes faction, which one would you play?
Once again, some of the best quality batreps on the net right now. I am curious, what prompted you to do an a report using an all-in-one box set? I know this one just came out but I already can't wait for the next one. Question: Do you already have all the Khador warcasters? Have you thought of doing some batreps with some under-utilized casters like Zerkova? Either way, I highly enjoyed this.
+James Burnett I have all the Khador warcasters EXCEPT any of the Butchers - since I have no interest in playing that model. Zerkova has been on the roster for awhile, I just need to get some more stuff painted for her list, so yes eventually you will see her (though it will probably be eZerkova first because I'm really excited to play her). first off good batrep 2nd a small thing: 2nd turn when hold shot from the angle it looked like the winterguard were obstructing his line of sight to the target modell... now i know that can be because i can t see it clearly from the angle but just wanted to point it out for you to check up on if you so choose

All in one box for trolls comes with two of the 3 in 1 multi kit. Could you have used a min unit of kriels tones and replaced the blitzed for the bomber?

at 31:19 when he frenzies and makes a boosted attack on the spriggin shouldnt his boosted attack only be 2 dice and not 3 because his Mind is out?
Isn't reaving when you take fury off a warbeast that has just died, and you leach off warbeasts at the start of your maintenance phase??
PP has stated it doesn't think it's a good idea to play Warmachine starter boxes vs Hordes starters because they're balanced within the same game system but not for the difference between Warcasters and Warlocks.
It's interesting to see how the all-in-1's compared.
mostly they recommend not playing them against each other because learning two rulesets moving in opposite directions is overwhelming when starting out.

The Winter Guardsman shouldn't have failed his command check, eSorscha was close enough to grant him her CMD as a Commander. Also, don't forget Desperate Pace on eSorscha, I don't think the extra 2" of movement would have made a difference in the battle, but it's good to remember. And finally... use eSorscha's quad iron! Miranda!! She's got a gun, and if you can Freezing Grip them, you can shoot them in the facehole!

+Mister Tsumi eSorscha's CMD is only 8 - the same as the Winterguard, so it would not have made a difference =) Desperate Pace is great, but didn't really apply in this game. As far as her Quad Iron, it's only power 10, so the likelihood of me doing any damage at all is pretty minimal (dice minus 9 on the Warders, then dice minus 11 after they take damage). Because of that I just decided not to use it this game.
Fair enough. I keep forgetting Sorscha's CMD isn't that great.

That was some horrible damage dice on the Khador side. Sorcha's feat barely moved the chains. A very grindy fight. I enjoyed it.

Why was the Trollblood player throwing everything? one throw instead of multiple melee attacks makes no sense to me?
You can't use Hoof It on a beast. They only get moved by it on feat. Grissel really needed to be using Cacophony after Sorchas feat was off the table to get her warders back in the game and shut down bob and weave.
According to the card, with Hoof It you can target any non-warlock faction model/unit. There is nothing stopping Grissel from targeting a warbeast with it. She just could not use it on herself.
Could have sworn it had the Warrior clause on it. My bad, complaint retracted.
+psycojester most troll players make this mistake. I've even had to correct the great Jason Flanzer on this. Hoof it your beasts, it is fantastic.
+Frank Wilkerson no, don't hoof it on your beasts, cast frigging Cacophony and get your damn warders back
+juicepimpson that sounds like a great idea until you realize cacaphony is a 9" bubble and Sorscha can measure her control area and move out of it then cast freezing grip. The only way this would work is if Grissel is within an inch of the furthest forward warder. So to me, that was a waste and her spending 4/5 focus each turn on the warders meant her jacks did nothing. That's an acceptable trade for me.

+michael zeches The only time she didn't roll three dice with boosted rolls was with the spriggan, when it's arm system was crippled (hence rolling one fewer die).

Was the thrown Warder in formation with the rest of the unit? If it wasn't you couldn't target it.
since when does being out of formation prevent you from beeing targeted?

Why doesnt Khador just focus down an enemy, instead of spreading all the damage?
+Marcus Nörren Perhaps an AOE was on the table so if all the models could get low on dice a single AOE could finish them all off. But I agree with you I would have focus fired to remove more attacks each round.
+Marcus Nörren For the most part the idea was to get things low enough for the snipers to pick off. I was rolling such pitiful damage dice that I figured my hardest hits should go into the higher hitbox targets - there are 80 hitboxes after all in just the infantry (not counting the Krielstone). Widowmakers probably killed the most models in this particular game.
while throwing a model at another model is not an attack, even though it uses mat to determine if the target is hit it is not an attack therefor no bonus from guard dog that is while you can throw models at skarre 2 during her feat or at darth vilmon ua-cam.com/video/FENoyV1jvfU/v-deo.html refer to video for further exlpaination
+plagueatheart I actually don't agree. I saw the video and they suggest targeting the wardog instead to bypass Sorscha's defense. But the Wardog card specifically states it grants the warcaster +2 DEF against "melee attack rolls" and a throwing a model at another model requires a "melee attack roll" - so based on the wording (unless there is a different official ruling on it) I believe it was handled correctly.
1 handed throws are just a direction. 2 handed throws can target a model and uses a melee attack roll against the target.
Would yall recommend running conquest instead of big B?

Seriously?! The Trolls suffered so many bad rolls the whole game, but still got in this very good end situation, while Khador lasted so long mostly by luck and win this with Attack-Spamming. Doesnt feel earned for Khador, Trollbloods are the winners of hearts here. Just stop throwing your own models, it didnt pay off ...
