What I love about the part at 6:15 is that you can hear Cere's theme trying to "break through" but it's completely shut down and overshadowed by Vader's theme everytime. Just like their dynamic in the fight. Cere is an amazing Jedi Master and doing her best (and don't get me wrong she does AMAZINGLY against Vader) but Vader is just relentless and won't stop until you're dead. I think that is beautifully mirrored in that part of the theme.
The way that the choir comes in at 1:26 makes it so powerfully clear that this is Cere's last stand. Every fiber of my being *knew* it was over for her, but still, I found myself fighting like hell to keep her alive as long as I could. The game did a beautiful job making me feel just how desperate the situation was. Beautifully done top to bottom.
I went on Safari to find Cere’s last name cause I forgot what it was. But as I was closing the tab, I saw the words “Cere Junda was…”. Was? As in past tense? That caught my eye and had me worried. But I shrugged it off. But prior to that I saw the thumbnail for a video of Cere fighting Vader. Now I never saw the title so I had zero context behind this fight, let alone that Cere would die. I figured this would be towards the end of the game. A 1v1 against Vader on Tanalorr. But I played the game as normal, and when Bode’s betrayal kicked in, I had forgotten all about what I had seen earlier. I was too shocked, too mad. But I immediately panicked when I saw we got to play as Cere while Cal Kestis was out of commission. On one hand, being able to play as Cere, a Jedi Master, was incredible. But I knew things looked bleak and this may be her last stand. But I began to have hope when I saw how she was absolutely demolishing the Empire. She was slamming whole ships the ground, freezing blaster bolts mid-air, butchering Purge Troopers like they were mere canon fodder. She even ripped apart an entire cave and dropped it on them. This woman was a BEAST and reminded me why she’s a Jedi Master. But I began to get skeptical when I noticed the Stormtroopers started backing off. “Is it him?” I thought “No, it can’t be, it’s too early in the game”. Cere had given the Archive’s data to BD-1 and sent him on his way, she then looked at the door and sternly gripped her lightsaber. It was at this moment I knew…it was him, and I knew Cere was done for. She put up a good fight, but she’s ultimately lost to the most powerful man in the galaxy. A rollercoaster of emotions and I absolutely loved it.
Cere Junda is a BEAST. went toe to toe with the big man himself and almost killed him. I don't think it's a stretch to say Cere came closer than anyone else besides Obi-Wan and Luke to actually defeating him. A true Jedi Master.
True, the only other person who got closer if you're counting legends was Galen Marek/Starkiller. And even then that was only because he was faster and more agile, had Force Lightning, knew how Vader fought and was able to taunt and gode him into making mistakes.

Luke only managed face to Vader in episode 6 because Vader was so conflicted and clearly not ready to kill him. His conflict made him unbalanced just like it did against Obi Wan on Mustafar. Now Obi Wan was an actual tie because he's such a good swordsman.
They should've had this as part of the actual movie lore, like one other girl named Cere almost killed him. Maybe even in the new set of movies they could've had Obi-Wan, Luke Skywalker, and Cere appear to Rey, would've made more of a cool difference because then she would see there is another female Jedi yk.

How could they have omitted the entirety of the Phase 3 part from the official release? Watching Vader manipulate Cere's lightsaber with one hand while 6:43 played served as a cruel reminder that despite the power trip you might be having, you are still fighting Darth Vader and your fate is sealed.
7:25 The sad thing is that even if she had managed to stab him in the chest, the guy is like 70% machine and most of his organs are either damaged beyond repair or unecessary due to his suit. As far as physical attacks go, without neutralizing his life-support indirectly, nothing short of bisection or decapitation could end him.

I hated in Obi Wan that Vader could be fought against with Obi Wan cut off from the force for so many years, but Vader recovering from near death certainly could be possible. What a way to develop Cere with a simple sequence, she knew she was doomed and fought still. Hope she can come to live action (obviously would have to be in the past😭)

Edit: I wouldn’t call the release obsolete by the way, still has most of the music that people really do enjoy. I don’t think a release’s quality should be based on what themes are in it.

Cere was a match for a Sith playing with his food, but when it came down to the end of it, when Vader is almost beaten. She fell by an inch.
