Can it be done as a complete free to play? Should it be done? These questions are discussed in this video along with suggested skills and alternatives as a wizard class to use when attempting the oblivion pillars.

Do you believe it is good to go for 5 star gems as a free to play or is it best to max out 1 and 2 star gems. Right now I have a BSJ rank 4 (4 out of 5) for movement and Gloom rank 3 (3 out of 5) primary attack damage and bottle hope rank 2 (2 out of 5) for cooldown. Should I just keep BSJ and then use the rest 2 and 1? I do class change once I get all the essences to keep the games normal grind feel productive.
I’ve tried to complete one as a monk but couldn’t get enough damage to complete. I’ve switched to crusader to see if I can complete it with it.
I have a seeping bile, bsj, and starfire on and only pushed them to rank 4. Going past that will take a lot of effort. Would work on the rest 1 and 2 stars and whatever combination of those that work for your class that synergies with your class/set bonuses the best.
When I started playing I upgraded all my 1 star gems to level 5 for 8 slots.
Then I did same with 2 star gems and replaced all 1 star gems.
Now I'm doing 5 star gems to level 5. Progress is really slow as a f2p player but it is effective.
Because 1 star gem level 10 has same reso as 2 star level 5 and it use more gem power to max out so I suggest to upgrade all gem to level 5 first.
As for class changing, that is personal preference. I made alts, but recently yet again with all there is to keep up with in the game, I haven't been on my alts in a bit now. Do know others that are constantly class changing. Again personal preference.

Had weaver on, but depending, may want to try gladiator or something of the like. Not sure if savior and gladiator cheat death works in there, but they probably do. Still do not have a savior pet for the extra crutch myself, so cannot confirm.

do hellslayer bounties instead of pillars trust me and especially with people you'll have higher chance for eternal g
You should at least get a real deal eternal piece from a pillar. They are literally the hardest thing next to 30k castle defense. That was nuts man.
Yeah especially since the shoulder beam essence and pants were useless going in because I forgot about it being bugged. That is yet another dev issue.
You have 1800 reforge stones, how tf?
Haven't messed around with the family bonuses that much in a very long time. Feel like they are decent for both pve/pvp and didn't go into too much min/max obsession over them.
