Here are some tips that I used to get my falling bridge 1. Have somebody spot you. Get them to put one hand on the crease of your back and then the other hand directly over top on your stomach 2. Use a wall/fence to walk down some of the way and when your comfortable finish my dropping and catching your self just like in a falling bridge and then slowly increase the drop 3. Stay positive you will not get your falling bridge in one day it took me about a month to get it perfect but everybody is different
I tried doing this and Day 1:my arms were not strong enough Day 2: I broke my pinkie Day 3: I could do it like the girls way like I could lay on the ground and push myself up Day 4: my dad held my back and I started to bend back but I couldn't do that Day 5: my dad held my back again and I almost laid my arms on the ground Day 6: my little sister tried it and it worked for her.I was mad Day 7: my little sister tried to teach me but I still couldn't do it Day 8: I fell again and hit my head Day 9: I finally did it but I tried lifting up I fell! Day 10: I did it!!!!!I could do a backbend by standing up and then I did a round off and e splits and I tried to do a front flip and it worked then I did a backflip it worked and yeah then I was VERY flexible That's my life

This was great! I am not at all sure how you did the ending part...my arms don't rotate like that... I have been doing yoga for 11 or so years and each year I have a new goal. I want to be able to do a bridge, but have realized my shoulders, back, neck, etc are all very tight with limited flexibility; all things I've neglected by trying to increase flexibility in my lower body. How would you approach tight rota tor cuffs? I think that is my biggest problem. My shoulders are so tight. I also lack the strength needed to stay in the lift, but I am working on that. I've saved your video and will be using this again, and again.

+Holly Tam It's good to know which parts are your weakness before trying to go full on back bend. Try doing exercises that will improve your hand strength so you can achieve that hand strength :)
Omg thank you so much! I only did a few stretches because i got lazy and it helped! I’m only 10 years old and I’ve always tried doing a back bend and stretching my back but it never worked but on a Wednesday night when i was SUPPOSED TO be sleeping i watched this video and i stretched. When i gave up i tried doing the back bend on my bed and i did it! I kept doing it on my bed until i knew i got it and then i tried it on our downstairs couch, it also worked. I was too scared to try it on the floor so i grabbed a blanket folded it and a few pillows to support me if i fell and i actually landed perfectly. I told my mom and was sooo happyyyy Tysm

I feel you. In inside recess, my teacher told me to try to do one. I did it. But when I came up, I felt so much pain that I would have to go to a hospital. My teacher than apologized. I now just practice doing it from the floor before I can do it from standing.
I’m a former gymnast. (Not a professional.) Years ago, gymnastics lessons got cut short due to price raises, And it caused me to stop attending. Out of sadness, I stoped stretching and practicing. I felt I had no motivation to do it anymore, I thought I’d never do gymnastics again. Few years past , I lost flexibility (obviously.) I could no longer kick over from a backbend , do a backbend , seal pose , ect. It bummed me out not being able to show off my cool tricks to my friends. And now here I am today trying to get back to where I used to be. I know it will take lots of work, determination, and effort. But I know I’ll get there, I promise it to myself.

I pretty much struggle with all poses. Lol. Poor flexibility and balance are a bad combination for yoga.

This may happen when you do a first but just keep calm and take deep breaths and practice
