- Το ποίημα γράφτηκε από τον Διονύσιο Σολωμό τον Μάιο του 1823 στη Ζάκυνθο και έναν χρόνο αργότερα τυπώθηκε στο Μεσολόγγι. Οι στροφές που χρησιμοποιούνται είναι τετράστιχες, ενώ στους στίχους παρατηρείται εναλλαγή τροχαϊκών οκτασύλλαβων και επτασύλλαβων.
Σε αυτό το βίντεο, παρουσιάζεται το πρώτο ολοκληρομένο κομμάτι του Εθνικού μας ύμνου, και όχι μόνο οι δύο πρώτες στροφές.
Inspired by the Greek War of Independence, Solomos wrote the hymn to honour the struggle of Greeks for independence after centuries of Ottoman rule.
In this video, the entire first part of the Greek national anthem is performed, instead of the 2 first verses that is used in various events.

Every nation has a culture, saying that FYROM has none is disingenuous. It may not be Macedonian, but it is a culture.

First of all, there is no Republic called Macedonia. The only Macedonia i know is located in Greece. Its funny because i think you're a Mapper aswell, so you ought to know the basics atleast. For you it might just be another useless name dispute, but for me its much more than that. Its not just a name, its the pride and the history that many generations fought for, including my great grandparents. Since i live outside of Greece, it is my job to encourage people and raise awareness and let people know about our situation. Its sad that we have to remind people about obvious things. If you just dont give a shit about all that, you can dislike the video and unsubscribe.

To all Skopjians out there let me tell you your story.
Josip Broz Tito knew that someday Yugoslavia would collapse and if it did the Vardaska banovina which was mostly populated by Bulgarians would be annexed by Bulgaria, he didn't want that.
He then created Macedonia but he wanted the people to believe they are Macedonians(which they are not), he organized large speeches so that he can make the Bulgarians, Macedonians.
It worked out and then a nation without history at, seceded from Yugoslavia.

Καλησπέρα Νick, είμαι πρώην Έλληνας mapper(2016-2018), ανακάλυψα το κανάλι σου το 2015 και αγάπησα το είδος των βίντεο που έκανες και έτσι εμπνεύστηκα και εγώ να ξεκινήσω βλέποντας tutorials και μπαίνοντας σε κοινότητες στο Google Plus. Τότε δεν γνώριζα ότι ήσουν Έλληνας και έτσι αφού σταμάτησες άρχισα να ξεχνάω το κανάλι σου, όμως αργότερα έχοντας ανακαλύψει τον πολύ διάσημο πλέον Eradiate, είχα μια συζήτηση με άλλους mappers και μου ανέφεραν ότι ο Eradiate είχε εμπνευστεί από εσένα και ότι ήσουν Έλληνας. Δεν μπορούσα να το πιστέψω, ένας τόσο μεγάλος και σημαντικός mapper ήταν Έλληνας! Εγώ προηγουμένως είχα ξεκινήσει μια προσπάθεια να ενώσω όλους τους Έλληνες mappers σε μια κοινότητα στο Google Plus, γιατί είδα ότι ήταν ευάλωτοι(είχαν σημειωθεί περιστατικά όπου Τούρκοι mappers έκαναν mass dislike σε τυχαία βίντεο Ελλήνων). Τελικά το κατάφερα και με την βοήθεια άλλων μεγάλων Ελλήνων mapper (όπως ο Epirus Mapper και ο Nekt Mapper) και μαζευτήκαμε 60 Έλληνες Mappers. (Μάλλον) ήσουν ο μόνος που δεν ήταν μέσα και αυτό ήταν λυπηρό για μένα γιατί ήσουν και είσαι ο σημαντικότερος Έλληνας Mapper. Mε τον καιρό όμως όλο και περισσότεροι παρατούσαν το mapping λόγω κούρασης/μικρής απήχησης/πιεσμένου προγράμματος και τελικά φτάσαμε στα τέλη του 2018 όπου έχουν μείνει ίσως λιγότεροι από 10, με τους μεγαλύτερους Nekt & Epirus να τα έχουν παρατήσει επίσης και η κοινότητα να έχει πεθάνει. Βλέποντας σε να επιστρέφεις το θεώρησα σημαντικό να σου μιλήσω για αυτά, μήπως μπορέσεις με κάποιο τρόπο να βοηθήσεις τους εναπομείναντες και να προσφέρεις έμπνευση και εμπειρία σαν παλαιότερος. Ελπίζω να διαβάσεις το comment και να επικοινωνίσεις μαζί μου στο Discord (Deimos#6974) ή να απαντήσεις εδώ.
