I love many Bridear songs since I started to really follow the band 1,5 year ago, and this one is so special: very uplifting, instantly catching. Sounds simple, but this melody is actually endless and probably quite challenging to sing, Not even mentioning the intricate guitar parts as always with Bridear. 'Helix' is on top of my Bridear play-list (along with 'Aegis of Athena'), Mitsuru gave the band her last and most brilliant fireworks just before leaving. :) And this band can survive anything, they already proved it. You have a very variety of songs from album to album with all the changes you did but that gives to your music a exceptional extra point and I love it!

I really like this song. It is very different from Light in the Dark and I was very surprised without the being any “dirty” vocals. It is a lighter song for sure and very refreshing.

Sounds like a J-drama soundtrack.Like others have mentioned (and I was personally afraid of) the departure of Misa was a hint for this turn in style.This might bring them success in Japan , and I trully wish them to be succesfull with all my heart.But I don't think this will fly in the west.Whatever audience they managed to muster in Europe and the U.S all this time will REALLY thin out.I might check on them from time to time just because Mitsuru is an adorable little guitar monster.

I really likes the song, and is something fresh since Ignite. Nobody should feel worried about this. IMO, this is just a maturing sign. Remember when Band-Maid released Daydreaming, a balad, and next came Choose Me. I'm sure the heavy one is coming.
After hearing the full album I feel a little better. This is DEFINITELY the commercial pop song from the album. Overall still a shift but not as jarring as the song would indicate.
Yes, I had already the chance heard too. It is really heavy. My favorite track is In the Labyrinth, reminds me much Rebirth. The voice of Kimi is so sweet and emotional in that song.

Sounds like an generic anime opening , where is the hard distinctive Bridear sound ? Luckily Mitsuru-chan saves it with a solo...(who is way too short).Hope next songs will have some more Bridear punch ! :)
I'm feeling more of an aldious vibe here. The way aldious would experiment(die for you, etc...) with lighter songs but still have a good amount of heavy stuff for the hardcore fans. Or at least I hope this is what is going on and they don't pull a Cyntia and completely abandon their heavy roots.
That's certainly my hope: that this is basically Bridear's "Die For You" (which I should point out Aldious really heavy up live). Reserving judgement until I hear all of Helix...

I came here from various other artists like Scandal, Aldious etc. rather than being a long-time fan, so I can get why my others might see it differently... but I kinda like the song. It's not perfect, you can kinda hear them being unfamiliar making music like this but I think it's important for Bands to experiment... unless it involves German Schlager or "gangsta rap"... then again, it would certainly have some value as comedy to see them try that. ;D

There are a lot of talented girl bands in Japan but i wish there was more genre variation, most of them are either powermetal, pop-rock or indie-sounding... I wish there were some girl bands that took heavy influence from bands like Maximum the Hormone, System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine or Mad Capsule Markets... Something with a different attitude or maybe even a sense of humor...

They have. Misa left a message stating they have. She said they wanted a different path and this apparently is to go pop. She was the metal behind the band.
I gave the album a listen and this is the lightest song on the album by far. There's definitely a bit more exploration of the metal sound in it, but as of right now I'd say they're going to more of an Aldious direction of mixing hard stuff with some light stuff now and then.
Definitely a big step from their usual heavy metal stuff. Even though it's a new sound I commend them for wanting to try a new approach. I'm gonna still support the girls on their journey with this album. Songs pretty catchy.

This is why I don’t think these bands will ever make it in the United States. Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus, etc... These bands didn’t change their genre just to get a bigger audience. Americans like their metal to be metal; and so do true metal fans worldwide because its not just about great musicians, it’s also about the rebel attitudes. Let hope Bridear return to the roots of metal. You can’t sound like Anthrax in one song and Taylor Swift in the next.

This has happened with several of the all-female J-metal bands, but Bridear were the band I LEAST expected to go full-Cyntia. They were always the most straight-up metal (now I suppose Lovebites take that title). But I'm waiting to hear the rest of Helix...this may well be a label-driven aberration.

Def disappointed with this song compared to others still gonna give the whole album a try.... and to those comparing this to Aldious just no atleast with Aldious's poppy songs they have a hook(especially the rhythm guitar in die for you) and catchy chorus unlike this

This is why I don’t think these bands will ever make it in the United States. Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus, etc... These bands didn’t change their genre just to get a bigger audience. Americans like their metal to be metal; and so do true metal fans worldwide because its not just about great musicians, it’s also about the rebel attitudes. Let hope Bridear return to the roots of metal. You can’t sound like Anthrax in one song and Taylor Swift in the next.

The band is gona do what the band is gona do, if you and your so called "true metal fans" don't like it, than just stop listening to them 👌 grow up and be mature for once, not everything stays the same, everything changes, that's just how life works 😑
This has happened with several of the all-female J-metal bands, but Bridear were the band I LEAST expected to go full-Cyntia. They were always the most straight-up metal (now I suppose Lovebites take that title). But I'm waiting to hear the rest of Helix...this may well be a label-driven aberration.

That's a way of life and if you don't like the change they did, than stop listening to them and go find another band to listen to, it's that simple, instead of judging and criticizing a band for change 😒 the song is great with a strong meaning behind it, so as I've said, if you don't like it stop listening and go find another band to listen to. Artists that release their work publicly (and I've been one for longer than I suspect you've been alive) are subject to criticism, and with art being an entirely subjective matter, some of that criticism will be negative. "It's that simple."
