FOX 4's Jeff Kolb talks to Tilen Lamut and Luka Stucin, broadcasters from Luka's homeland of Slovenia, about the trade and how Slovenia is reacting to the news.
As a Slovenian Im super happy…my favurite team was always the Lakers…most of us cheered for Dallas because of Luka…they betrayed him… Luka is a gentle soul…he will never forget this…Im really sorry for Mavs fans from Texas…How are the owners and a GM still alive after this?
SLOVENIANS WANTED: Looking for new Laker fans. No experience necessary. New hours are now in Pacific Standard Time. All Slovenians welcome, men, women, children. 😉
As a resident of Dallas and a Mavs fan I wish to apologise to the whole nation of Slovenia for how Luka was treated. The fans here 100% DID NOT WANT THIS. I live in Dallas and we love Luka and are very angry at Nico Harrison for ruining this. Nico Harrison the Mavs GM is now the most hated man in Texas. Texans have guns. Some people think Nico's life even may be in danger. Please don't hate Texas because of this. Nico is an evil corrupt person and does not represent the Mavs fans. Luka was/is our hero. I am concerned there can even be riots at the stadium. Mavs fans here in Dallas are hoping the league will veto this trade, and calling for the firing of Nico Harrison, and that he be investigated for corruption.
Why to apologise to them, haven’t you heard what the guy said?? They don’t care at all about Dallas, they are not real supporters, they are just Luka fanboys, at least those 2… For them Dallas, Atlanta, Washington…. No difference
Dont you worry, theres a lot of other things we could hate texas for. For example, its a republican hellhole of a state. Believe me, we are happy he is gone to a better franchise in much better state.
@@smrad1985 I'm following Tilen and Luka closely via their podcast and I believe they were talking on behalf of an "average" Slovenian basketball follower. Myself, as an NBA basketball follower from Slovenia myself, and I think I'm not alone, I really appreciate all Mavericks players in the past 7 years. We, Tilen and Luka included, could name every single one of them, know their skillsets, maybe even personalities. Dallas Mavericks,, and the city of Dallas, thank you for all the great basketball you, with the entirety of your team, have given us the opportunity to watch.
@smrad We knew mavs since dirk and kid days, but grew to like mavs and cheer when Luka joined. It is normal for people who look from outside the US. And to be honest, majority of us expected Luka to stay in Dallas forever. And your name ….well
@@smrad1985 The apology is necessary because the leaders of our team disrespected their player 100% unjustly. The fans here can't change that but we side with Luka above management.
Me personally as a Slovenian, I follow Luka, which means I follow whatever team he plays for. I have no special attachement to a particular franchise. And for me, the trade itself is not that much of a problem, trades happen, players are traded, that's just the nature of the business. But they way it was carried out, in secrecy, behind Luka's back. Now that is just disgusting. I mean, this is not some random bench guy, he was the face and force behind the Mavs for some years now and he poured his heart and soul out for the team. And to talk about his conditioning, defence, well, shame on you Nico Harrison and the entire Mav's front office. This is not the way you treat any human being. Luka is not perfect, but who is. He played almost 100 games last season, all of them for nearly 40 minutes straight, played injured, through the pain, bleeding knees and now you go out bashing him? Like wtf? Dirty games. But they did Luka a big favour because he is going to thrive in the Lakers, I'm positive. As he said himself today at the press conference, it's only motivation for becoming even better and skilled. And he's definitely not a quitter.
that is what i was thinking a lot in the last two days, before i tought that Luka will never leave Dallas and Jokič will never Denver so them two together was not possible in my mind, but now i think Luka in denver is very possible
Nice cnsprcy but there's a simpler answer. New Mavs owners don't care about basketball. They want legalized gambling in Texas. Using Mavs as a bargaining chip to get it. If they don't, they will relocate them to Vegas.
The Mavs got robbed of 10 straight finals appearances😂 That is only reserved for the Lakers😂 NOBODY CAN BEAT LUKA IN A 7 GAME SERIES!!! He can take out a chair on defense and smoke a hookah and he still makes you look like a YMCA player😂 Welcome to the Lake Show Luka Magic🌟
🙏🙏Blessings forever GOD loves y'all too forever tell everyone you know and don't know. Jesus loves y'all too forever. Teach everyone how to see and enjoy their blessings too forever😊
Its the way they betrayed Luka. He's loyal, which in Europe is normal and expected. It's obvious that GM's hate for Luka is so strong, he had no problem presenting Luka's health in a way that Miriam / owner had no problem in justifying the move. It's not her fault. She's in business of making money in gambling and all the rest is not crucial They want to move the club to Las Vegas if they don't get Texas to change the law and lrgalise gambling. It's unlikely Luka is not needed; it would be harder to move Mavs. Nevertheless, GM is the one who gladly obeyed. He could resign instead. But he did not. The legality of the entire process is questionable, but I doubt any investigation will follow. Miriam met with Trump already and the family is major sponsor. Life sucks and love, loyalty, devotion are not cherished but criticized. This thick soup will be hard to digest.

thank you for not covering mav's games anymore...let's go Lakers
I still can’t believe it
Dallas failed Luka. He will shine in LA.
Can you imagine if Luka do not resign with the Lakers and goes free to Denver?

Dallas is history for Luka... prošla baka sa kolaćima... 🤪
Wishful thinking. Good luck with that. 😉
@@Mistr_Anderson how things are going anything is possible
@ "How things are going?" So we trading Luka for Joker?😜
Dallas fans should be livid. Adam silver and new mavs owners played a role in the trade . NBA wanted Luka in LA to save the league from crashing
Them juice destroying everything they touch!

Yep; it was very early in sLOVEnia. He just closed on a 15M house last week; Dallas did him dirty and I hope they lose every game
OK Luka, let the other guy speak. Lots of Slovenians became fans of Dallas Maverics and have said they will continue to follow them.
Don't worry we threw away all the Mavs merch and we are now buying Lakers merch. No one cares about Mavs...
NO, it's exactly what the NBA wants.. 😢
Anybody got a link to that show in Slovenia that Lucas dad went on?
F.O. Dallas and Texas, let us move focus to L.A., closer to Slovenia mentality!

I Really hope he wouldn't work for the Lakers and the 💩 NBA and ask to be traded to Denver in two years.. It's a shame.. Nothing else. 😢❤..

No, his job has been international. He's just following orders.
