To be crystal clear here this is a comparison with all GoPro models including the Hero 12, the time I really compared the Action 4 against my older hero 10 was with colour depth, which the hero 12 meets the same specs as Action 4
Always Gopro for FPV! There is one very important thing that the gopro can do what dji cannot, and this is gyrologging while recording full sensor readout! In case of the Gopro 11/12 this is 8:7 wide. Dji can gyrolog only with the digital crop lens "wide", full sensor readout on the dji is 4:3 ultrawide, but with "ultrawide" selected as FOV, the files doesnt contain gyro data for post stabilisation with Gyroflow. For me this is the reason why the Gopro wins for FPV, and i can use Gopro Labs to extend the quality of the videos even further and everything above 4K is a huge bonus for post stabilisation, because i can crop in without losing quality so mutch.
@@19Jose91 You should really try at least one of them, and i mean Gyroflow is free, you have nothing to lose. Its mutch better than the internal one. 😁
Hey yo, I'm trying to create an AMR (Prototype phase, bachelor student) and in the future my own FPV drone; by "gyrologging" do you mean that while streaming I can get that metadata for using in real time analysis ¿isn't it? (Because that would be very cool to integrate and not use extra modules )
Great video. :-) My suggestion. NEVER use the vertical (yuck) mount for video, it lacks creativity. If you find you need vertical video crop the horizontal video. This way you have more options and it will allow for immediate creativity on the fly.
too right buddy. i've also abandoned gopro from all the issues. got this yesterday and bolting it to a cinebot 30. much better than gopro when color graded for sure. what iso range do you use for low light on this? ive not tested low light but need to find the best settings for indoor flying and outside during sunset.
Good info. Just a heads up. Film cameras film. Video cameras, video, record, shoot, ect. Filming is a different process than what you are doing. Digital Video. Good job.
had same roblem with my gp10... i was using gopro since 2011 with hero 2...4....8.... 10 and ordered 12.. but sent the 12 back and got the dji action 4.. batterylife is looong, quick charge, better in lowlight, easy menu, touchscreen on front... so much better build quality and ALSO DJI CARE REFRECH! pay 35€ and you get injurance for 2 years can swap 2 cameras per year if somehow you happen to destroy i! just pay 19€ and they send you a new one. i ordered 2 action 4s, one adventure package and one just action 4.
Gorpros are heavy, overheat, and are totally unreliable. For mountain biking and mounted on cars, you need a small fortune in rigs to hold them - the stock stuff Gopro sells is utterly inadequate. The better, cheaper, lighter weight alternatives are easier to rig and inherently more stable. Yes Gopro's built in stabilization is good, but the others have caught up, plus with Gyroflow ( free) you can do a better job of smoothing things out in post.
I'm now going to go and practice "legit powering up" my cameras. Normally, I just power them up. I knew I was missing something. I have nothing else to say.
Woah woah woah you just invalidated your self by saying you only had it for 1 week before you made the video like thanks for pointing me in the right direction imma watch other videos on this topic but ya waited 3 minutes to tell me your opinion is heavily bias kinda wasted my time but you might be onto something as for this video finishing it would be further wasting my time
@@neelsarode1 For FPV, GoPro is better. I bought the Action 4 and it has a terrible bug where horizon data is broken for external stabilization. It's been known for months and DJI does what DJI has a reputation for: not fixing their old stuff
This is an unfair review in my opinion, I don’t think it’s reasonable to compare a older model for GoPro to the newest dji model.
To be crystal clear here this is a comparison with all GoPro models including the Hero 12, the time I really compared the Action 4 against my older hero 10 was with colour depth, which the hero 12 meets the same specs as Action 4
My boy is comparing gopro 10 to OA4 ... you should be comparing that to action 2 bro
GoPro 10 same as GoPro 12 in terms of sensor and low light performance

Fair fair my friend!
Gyroflow or reelsteady? I’m just using the stabilisation of my gopro11 mini and I feel it perfect

how much does it weigh?
@@PinkeySuavo 160 grams
Ehm... does the magnetic mount survive flips and other sharp freestyle moves? Or does your camera fly away in a different direction?
Honestly have crashed hard with it and it stays put, it’s a magnetic system but the spring loaded clips lock it in place
Can you tell me wich type is good , wich type i will buy ??!
Hi is it possible use a TypeC x Balance cable to plug the camera at drone battery ?
Good info. Just a heads up. Film cameras film. Video cameras, video, record, shoot, ect. Filming is a different process than what you are doing. Digital Video. Good job.
hello how you stabilize the footage for vertical and horizontal ?
Good question
Both in Gyroflow, works with Vertical and Horizontal no worries
Very informative! What drone were you using for the end sequence?
What settings in Action 4 do you use for FPV shots?

Convince is a big factor that's not talked about as much as the numbers.
Sorry mate what’s convince?
@@BrodieReed autocorrect.
I meant convenience.
Ah yes absolutely!
Cool views mate. Cheers from Down Under!!
Thanks!
Ehat software do you use for color grading and edit?
I personally use FCPX as that what I edit all of my content in, however it can be achieved with other softwares that are free like Da Vinci Resolve
No 8x7 sensor for vertical at the same time as horizontal... no thanks 😅
Fair enough! Everyones got different use cases ✌️
Is dji action 4 very bad in low light?
Yes
Do you post your video preset settings anywhere?
What is that song on end of video? Its pretty dope :)

i use gopro hero 9 and gopro 11 mini never ever see any problems

Legit powering them up is so much better though
is the action 3 is good to?
High quality content right here🎉
Let’s goooo
I only would buy a GoPro if I can get one used for really cheap. In the mean time I'll use my O3
Great video! Very informative!!
Gyro is pronounced Jiro lol.
Keep up the great work
Damn it every time 😂🤦 I’ll try again next time haha
🤣😂 Compare gopro 12 with dji action 4. Gopro image stabilizer is better than dji.
I love this channel
Let’s goooooo
The Action 4 produces a lot of Jello. So thats a reason against it.

agreed,,action are the winners
Hay mate going to the rc club today cause I am
Flying overseas today haha
Your right I have owned both and GoPro is wank, I brought the first DJI Action and even that was 100% perfect
lol you guys broke it
goofy ahh review
Not convinced - GoPro HERO12 Black is still the superior action camera for FPV
Curious what’s the reason? Still trying to make the decision myself
Tbh I have both and I prefer the osmo 4. Just feels higher quality, but you do you bro!
