Glad I saw the Atari 2600 display in person. It was something you had to see to believe. Unfortunately I missed the Star Wars display. Awesome video with some great footage.
Loved the up-close review of a BB-8 mechanism. Looks like a good Faire. Also... Drunkenwood rocks; looks like the format change is going in a good direction.
Ben Brandt Thanks, Ben! It was a lot of fun. It was amazing good fun to hear Kurt share about the internals of how he built the droid. Super fun. And yes - Drunkenwood does rock! We had a really nice conversation, including some time before I turned the camera on.
I love the Makers Faire in Detroit but it seems to be going downhill not as many presentations and smaller amount of things technical to buy but it's still fun
Great video, Bill. I love Maker Faire Detroit and have been going every year since the first one. There is so much to see!
Nice meeting you!
Drunkenwood You too! Thanks for sharing your time while you were there!
Great wrap up Bill. Crazy...a guy I work with is in the video at 0:13! Small world.
***** Thanks, Tyler! It is a pretty small world in the maker community, I guess :)
Love those video game artifacts :)
