I would so love to do this trip. I'm not sure Darwin is all that well known outside Australia but I would also want to see Kakadu and the Great Barrier reef.
@@travelbugsue born in a suburb of London, now living near Toronto always wanted to visit downunder. I would love to watch a test match at the MCG. Visit Uluru, Kakadu and the Great Barrier reef. But do it all in style.
The Darwin street art looks good, but it also looks very sponsored. I prefer Melbourne street art, as it is the art of the people, rather than the art of the officialdom.
You upload a good video but there is no mention of the cost. How much was the rail fair, the cost of your flight at Alice etc, total cost of such a trip
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The prices are linked in the description of the video.journeybeyondrail.com.au/journeys/the-ghan-expedition/ They start from $2,289 per person. Prices vary depending on the class, time of year and number of people travelling. My trip cost me $4,599. But this included the EXTRA Alice Springs flight, as it is an "Optional" trip and not included in the normal price. (Which I am sure I mentioned in the video) It is ONLY available with the "Ghan Expedition" trip, and only if you are travelling Darwin to Adelaide. Not Adelaide to Darwin. And is limited to 12 people. Anyhow, it was an extra $1,200 for the day, which of course pushed my price up. But I say it was well worth every cent for the personal service and fantastic flight experience. Of course there are many other day trips available which are all included in the normal price. I hope this has given you the info you were after Anything else you would like to know, don't hesitate to ask me.
Really enjoyed your vlog about the ghan expedition, really useful information.I am hoping to do this trip in October 2023.the trip to ularua looked very tempting,I always thought they flew around it then back ,didn’t know that you actually land and have a picnic lunch there as well, will have to rethink my plans for excursions.sorry about my spelling for the rock.
Hope to do this trip in the not too distant future The only thing that annoyed me was the spelling of The Ghan, it was spelt, Game, gane, all sorts of ways, why was this???
Hi Christina, I have just found the answer to your question.... Those I presume are the sub-titles below. unfortunately I do not write them, they are an option with UA-cam. You can turn them off if you speak English as you have no need for them. Travel Bug Sue
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Trevor. This is why I like to share my journeys, so that people who are not sure if they should book get a glimpse of the real deal before they do! What month are you going?

Yes, i can't change that. But it is still a beautiful place to visit!
You could have recorded this somewhere a bit quieter. Just a tip for the future.

Wow I had no clue Uluru was 500km from Alice Springs. I always assumed it was just outside town.
