@@CarsWithSteve I went with a White 302A with most of the options except the sunroof, onboard scales and max tow package. I’m still waiting for it. If it’s on schedule it should have been built a few days ago but I’m expecting it to be delayed.

Thanks for the super helpful video! I was in the market for a new vehicle and on the budget I had, I knew it was going to be an XLT. Yesterday, I picked up my brand new 2022 F-150 XLT with the Sport Appearance Package!
Steve, have a couple of technical questions please. I’ve learned that since last modification in v8 aluminum block instead of using piston steel sleeves Ford is using plasma coating, which renders newer v8 block disposable/irreparable. Is it also true for their current V6 3.5L aluminum blocks? Or they still use steel sleeves in those? Also is there aftermarket steel oil pan for V6 2.7L graphite block? I work for Ford manufacturing and every guy I talked to who owns a v6 2.7L had their driveway ruined. They still love their trucks. Ford claims they found solution but it did not seem fixed the leaking problem permanently. Also that composite oil pan has a ridiculous disposable plastic oil plug situated on a side that doesn’t seem helping the problem. So is there an aftermarket steel or cast aluminum oil pan with conventional oil plug for 2.7L? Thank you.
Those "bottle openers" on the tailgate can be used that way, but they're primarily designed to be tiedown points for when you're hauling long loads with the tailgate down.
Thanks for a very informative video. We ordered our Ford F150 XLT, crew cab, 6.5 box with a 5.0L V8 and the 302 A High equipment group .We also paid to have our warranty extended . This was my favorite review of the 2022 F150. Nice work my man. Very thorough. It looks like youre in Canada. Its crazy we get the sliding rear window, box lighting etc standard with the 302A package but our American friends have to opt for the "bed utility package" and add the sliding rear window on separately as paid options. Great review!! Still waiting on my f150xlt. Ordered it in February. I'm trying to be patient. I didn't know you could have the auto start stop feature completely removed !!!!! Had I known that I would've had that removed when I ordered it!!! It is the dumbest function, useless and serves no purpose. I hope there's still a manual button to at least shut off this annoying feature while I drive!
Thanks Paul! Whew that's a bit of a wait so far. Has the dealer updated you as to whether it's entered production? Wish salespeople would let people know about the start/stop delete option. It's not available in all configurations but still a nice option! The dealer should be able to pull out the feature before delivery too There's a button to turn it off but once you turn off the engine and then jump back in, you have to turn it off again
Im curious whats the going price of these F-150s. Im about to get dealed an F-150 XLT sport 302A MSRP 71K$ WITH -14500$ discount so at 56680$ CAD! Nowadays iust seeing if the price is right😮
Assuming that's a 2023... that's a really damn good price for the build you're looking at. Most dealers I know are $6k under MSRP right now and the XLT only has a 5-7k profit margin depending on the build
The XLT is probably the best overall bang for you buck truck on the market. That said, its amazing to me that Ford can justify putting halogen headlights on a $60k truck.
Great video thank you. I just received my 2022 F150 with exactly the same packages as in your video. I also have the trailer tow package (17T). My truck does not have the LED box lighting or the scale option. Does this mean Ford screwed me on items or I am missing something? Thanks.
Thanks! It looks like part way through the model year there was the introduction of the Bed Utility Package (68L) that adds in the LED Box Lighting. It's no longer standard on anything but the Raptor in the 2023 now
Steve, congrats on becoming a full-time utuber! I’m interested if fx4 option is available with a gear-shifter on a steering column and bench seat for Canadian customers. I saw trucks like that with American plates but it seems not an option in Canada. Thank you.
Thanks Mike, appreciate that! Yes, you can still have the bench 1st row with the FX4 package if you're in the XL/XLT/Lariat. It's when you get into the Sport Pack, Black Appearance package or King Ranch and up that forces you to have the 40/console/40 config
Just wondering does the XLT 302a package have the advance trac sport Mode when you double press the traction control button twice, like the Lariat does or is that only on the higher models like the Lariat, King ranch, tremors, limited and raptor ? .. but them XLT302"s are sure nice trucks
