Do I need an amp for these speakers? The head unit I’m getting only has 16 Watt RMS (60 Watt peak x 4 channels) and I wanna make sure I can use these together.
To bring out the full potential of car speakers, you would need an external amplifier... But head units have amps built in for this!! Just not a lot of watts for the speakers. You know how a lot of aftermarket car speakers have peak power ratings of over 100-200WATT?? The external 2/4 channel amplifiers can get those watts to come to life. Simple answer, you dont need an external amplifier
