Thanks for watching!! Stay tuned for the next part in this video series where I install the speakers and bypass the sub/amp to test out the OEM Audio+ speaker upgrade.
Do the subs make the plastic behind the seats rattle any? Also, is there any sort of adjuster knob to adjust the volume of the sub by itself? Thanks...
If the music is super loud & the bass is up it may rattle, depending on the song. I just go into the headunit and turn the bass down a couple when this happens. I believe you get an adjustment knob if you upgrade to get the dedicated amplifier for the sub(s), but it doesn't come standard.
so I have a 2020 tacoma and got the 6 speakers, amp and sub bundle. I can turn my sub all the way up, but in the speaker bass settings (shown in 14:54) if I turn the bass all the way up, it sounds like my speakers are holding back. So my sub is great but when I turn the bass up on my speakers, it sounds like its holding back or even it cant handle or blown. Would getting a better amp(if even possible) be something youd reccomend?
Getting a dedicated amp for the sub might help. I think they offer that option. I never had any problems with the sub sounding bad, just vibrations of the truck if anything.
For $130 you can use the Bose Soundlink II. it’s a Bluetooth speaker that just may sound better than the system upgrade many have done. It’s portable too so you can use it on your tailgate and anywhere else your imagination will bring you. I just did this for my 2021 Tacoma Pro. Just trying to share an idea that possibly could be both cheaper and better. Peace
Thanks for watching! A bluetooth speaker would offer the depth and vehicle-specific acoustic tuning that this system offers, but it definitely would be nice to have for outside of the truck!

Awesome video, once again. I've been looking into this setup for awhile
Thanks man! Can't wait to get the full system installed.
I like the new setup
Wait until you hear it 👀
Nice video man, been wondering about this setup also!
Definitely seems worth it so far! Stay tuned for the next couple videos in the series.
Would you recommend, adding the dedicated sub amp, to the system 500 package?
I thought it was plenty good without it but unfortunately never got to hear the difference
Im confused. So do we need the dedicated amp for the sub or the processor is enough for it to work
Dedicated amp is an option for the subwoofer(s)
@@KnightWheelsMedia so the box you installed underneath the seat is not the amp?
That’s the DSP if I remember correctly
@@KnightWheelsMedia gotcha. Thanks for the info
I'd be interested but too expensive!
I feel you man it's pricey but definitely a hugeeee difference
@@KnightWheelsMedia for that price it better be lol
For sure 😂

@@KnightWheelsMedia oh yeh my sub sounds great…it was just the side door speakers that sounded bad when the bass was turned up
Has anyone just upgraded to the sub and amp only with factory speakers? How does it sound
Hi Chris, that’s what I did in this video actually! Stock speakers, just installing the sub and amp.
@@KnightWheelsMedia nice! Thanks for the quick response. Looking to get it installed next month
Nice! You’ll love it
