It would be cool to see them produce a camper ID bus in the future! Also would be cool to see more folks convert old buses to electric so they can keep rolling into the future, as much as I love wrenching on old engines.

Great video cant wait to see the new buzz ! BUT !!! Still today ! People still LOVE Ziggy !!! The old stuff is still precious metal !! And speaking of ziggy !!! I just saw ziggy , Jerry , Gary and Son on the cover of a magazine!!!! NO not Rolling Stone BUT VolksMania !!!! Awesome article and exciting to see you guys on the cover ! Ziggy looked great cleaned and polished. 200 miles on the buzz. Sorry no sale for me. I do serious road triping 350 400 miles. I don't mind gas prices I want to get to my destination. I will re charge when I get there usually with an adult beverage. Electric cars need to do better
I think VW should put some safari's in it. louvered windows along the sides, and a small reservoir that occasionally puts a drip of oil at the rear, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, I MIGHT consider buying it. Right now I'll go with Ziggy! 😉
I agree, maybe is VW gave the buzz just a few more touches that are iconic with the classic busses and Vanagons, like maybe the corner windows on the doors or the turn signals being its own section in the newer models to come for the Buzz, then I might consider trying to go for one. But til the I'll stick with my '80 Vanagon and '74 beetle.

Here in the UK we would say you are now all "luvvies" ! Great to see behind the scenes! Electric vehicles did not really take off 100 years ago, same sort of problems today, except we are going to need an awful lot of electricity if everyone went over, I don't see it, plus electric vehicles have a high carbon footprint from manufacture and need to do a lot of miles before they beat ICE cars. Big trucks are not going to be electric - too many batteries needed! Electric is a knee-jerk and an interim measure, my guess is that heat engines will be the future, i.e. steam power, lots of development being undertaken - you heard it here first!
You don’t see it because you’re ignoring the evidence in front of your eyes, The evidence of the rapidly developing EV market and demand for second hand EVs is that it is the future. You have read too many petrol head sources about EVs, the majority of which is plain crap. Toyota bet on hydrogen and lost. Hybrids are just plain stupid, why have two drive systems. We’ve been driving an EV for 18 months and even before the recent rapid fuel price rises in the UK we were saving £2,000 pa on fuel alone, that’s just escalating. The real evidence is amongst early adopters. Car is quieter, less tiring to drive, hardly needs the brakes so less brake dust, regen helps with that and reduces tyre wear (unless you drive like you’ve stolen it and drop the huge torque and leave tyre slick at every start!). Maintenance is cheaper, no oil changes needed, no exhaust to replace. Wake up Mr Luddite. EVs are the future. PS about the idea there is not enough electricity. Most EV owners will charge at night when there is ample generation. Your comments are full of the same bullshit that has been scaremongering people about range. The average UK car journey has been less than ten miles for the last twenty years. Any EV with more than 200 miles range will meet the needs of more than 95% of the population for 99% of their journeys without using public DC chargers. Most family’s second cars will easily cope with less than 100 mile range, school runs, shopping trips and local family visits, easy.

technical question, is the flicker of the ID's headlights and taillights an artifact of the digital filming process?
That’s the LED affect showing on the GoPro frames. In person there is no flickering

Because it took them awhile to get the bugs worked out
They have trotted out this same Concept every 4 years for the last 12 years, I would love it if they actually made it. I own a 1961 single cab, make one of those again.

Not enough range and the ability to and the amount of time to recharge makes this a town car only. Of course there is the problem of finding a faster charging station in the vast open expansive areas of our state. Even Elon will have to start adding hundreds of his charging station in and around Austin just for his employees. That can be done but at what cost. Does Austin have the power infrastructure to support EVs in large numbers.

answer this question does it have air conditioning in it. everybody's in a VW Buzz driving they showed the outside of it they showed inside of it. and I usually get in the car does the radio work or maybe try the horn I know maybe I should try and see if it has heat in here during the winter hey let's see if it has air conditioning but you know the bottom line nobody can tell me if everybody's going to show this goddamn car they should tell the person in this video is there air conditioning
YES! It has great AC, and it works when you are just sitting still too!

@@markandrews5813 weird;y there are no ac outlets in the back. It all comes from the front and the back has no openable windows either
Thank you for your answer that you gave me so in so many words the AC has one setting or does it have at low medium and high. What rating would you give the AC one through 10 or how many stars would you give it.
