People were saying "click on settings and add a new account," YOU were the only one who specified "click on your account first, then settings!" Sometimes it's the little things that make a huge difference, thanks!
In case the extra account you want to add is not in the list, could you select "+ add another account"? and then sign-in to the account that way, for adding this account?
The thing is, I need to share exactly the same drive for both accounts. Is there a way to do that. The drive client doesn't allow settig up the same folder for both accounts.
I have a question, I have two laptops using the same account in different locations, how would you go about setting up the sync of files in this situation, help would be much appreciated, thanks.
You can install the Drive desktop client on both laptops and tell it which folders to sync. Then when you go to the Drive website and look under computers, they should both be listed there with the folders you configured to sync. Also if you go to your Google mapped drive on the laptop (usually G) then you should have an icon that is called other computers where you can see the synced files from other computer that you are not currently on.
Are the files from the two G-drives downloaded and stored locally in order to sync? I'm trying to save space on my already-full local hard drive...this would not would not work for me if so.
what about google docs? I need my docs to merger as well... and soon the original google drive with that email will be shut down as we pay for that email address and we are turning it off .. so i want to merge into the new email account before we shut it down im afraid of losing all my docs..... the google drive was merged successfully thank you ... but now what do i do ?
I'm not sure if I follow you but can you just download your Google Docs files to your PC and then upload them to your other Drive account? It might be a bit of work if you have a lot though. There is also a service called Multicloud that lets you copy and sync between different accounts. We are testing it out right now so we can do a video on it soon.
Amazing..MSFT wants to build their GPT engines but want to leave OneDrive for Personal for 1 user only as compared to GDrive which allows multiple users. This just makes google a winner here (and a strong case)
Unfortunately, this no longer works since a few days. You can add multiple accounts to Google Drive for Desktop, but after a few hours all but one are automatically deleted again. VERY annoying!

Did google recently change from allowing 4 accounts to 3 accounts? and why. I used to have 4 accounts
It does not allow to add more than 4 accounts in one drive? I have 6 different google accounts. is there anyway to see all 6 as google drive?
Will these same steps work for Mac?

If you are using streaming then it shouldn't, but mirroring will.
