Is it me or is this the best song in the album?
It's very very good. Nostalgic. But there are some good track
It's very good song, but i prefer Letm 'em Cry
Reminds me of the album by the way. And the song wet sand. Got the same feel to it. I love it.
I think it's my favourite, I particularly like Here Ever After and Whatchu Thinkin too, but I think this is my favourite, brilliant track.
Maybe
Heavenly melody and one of the best outros they've ever made. It's a California beach sunset but in a form of a song.
Very well put, that outro is amazing. Might be my favourite song :)
My favorite from the album
YES YES YES!!!
Sir Psycho Sexy has best outro of any of their songs
Unbelievable what they’ve accomplished. Just unbelievable
the outro is so insanely beautiful...
makes you feel an other-worldly kind way. godspeed
not at all
Yes and that and the cadence of the chorus with John singing harmonies. A gem of a song. Vibed to this right away when I heard it
Apparently originally the outro went on for way longer and made up most of the song. I wish they kept it that way. Rick Rubin talks about it in a recent interview…
@@shaneharrington3655 Frs the interview w who
The guitar riff on this song is just incredible. Literal perfection
Yes it is.
👆
Sooo gorgeous!!
Nice to hear songs with memorable riffs again!
Yeah man. Those Fru strat tones never get old to me. Fender should be paying this guy a chunk of their annual profits for helping keep their guitars culturally relevant with younger generations since the 80s ;) And the outro with what sounds like a Jaguar (could be a Jazzmaster too, their tremolos both have the same distinct sound) is so nice too. Love it. :)
John's chord progressions are poetry
And fleas bass omg incredible then anthoys voice man so relaxing and fun to sing
And chad mending space and time
@@ryanclark895 put it perfectly
@@ricardofont4395 why thank you Ricardo
I really dont understand, nor care for the people who whine about how this album was down under. This song itself represents the real music we lack for today. Seriously, its beautiful
This album and return of the dream canteen, is what I feel is the evolved and greater version of the peppers. They keep making bangers
The "Hey" of Unlimited Love. Took me a couple of listens until it fully resonated with me, but that's very typical for great music. This album is absurdly good.
I had that same feeling, but for It's Only Natural. This one is gold tho
I knew instantly it was great...it's a LOVELY tune
Intro reminds me of Meet Me at the Corner
Completely agree. It is the Hey from SA
rather it resembles the melody of john's album "the will to death" "whising.
Honestly, this might be my favorite RHCP song. It's that good.
Same bro
agreed, not an exaggeration
It killer
not sure about the lyrics though. it's extremely hard to surpass lyrically 'death of brendan' , 'sick love', 'around the world', 'roadtrippin' or 'can't stop'
@@tomsmith4542 ok but when has any chili peppers' fan ever cared about the lyrics of the songs lol, if you're a rhcp fan because of the lyrics then you're doing it wrong lol
One of their best songs of all time
Agreed!
I don’t know why but this just single-handedly became one of my favourite songs ever.
Even better when you don't know why and simply enjoy! :)
I love how the verse is just straight different chords played like notes and the course is notes play like chords
It feels so good to hear John and Anthony sing together again!
I don't want to exxaggerate, but this could be their best capture of that coastal/tranquil sound that has always be an important part of their music.
Yep, def one of their strengths.
John's backing vocals/harmonies are something else
The low notes are breaking my heart and I can't stop because it feels so good.
Flea is a genius
@@Grantrude couldn't agree more
The chemistry of John and Flea playing their Instruments is one no other artists on this world are having 🥰
@@williampacult9431 yes! I think it's my favourite thing Anthony has sung, it hits me so hard in such a peacefully, heart breaking, soothing way
Critics can say what they want, but this album is incredible. Music like this is tough to find these days.
They also said its a good album. 😍
Yeah, its a great album
Great music but I gotta say it’s missing that…. What’s the word…. Edge
It's an album with really good reviews by the critics so far, what you talking about haha
The critics actually like this album surprisingly
John's guitar tone here is immaculate, elevated by his heavenly vocal harmonies
Beautiful chord progression and beautiful simple melody by Anthony. Chad and Flea are playing their part perfectly and the weird, kinda surf rock outro is just brilliant. The whole album is so good
everyone should seriously check out The Walkmen.
specifically You & Me.
the outro sounds like half of their songs.
Now that you
Mention it I could totally hear it. Almost an “On the water” vibe. Great album
John?
Still think WET SAND is their best song, although many would disagree which is awesome by me, they have many fantastic ideas for their songs, which releasing new albums after 39 years together. Not even Mick and the boys have stood up there. Peace fellow music lovers and my apologies for dropping in on your thread, I think thats what the youngsters call it.🤘😊❤
One of my favorites from UL!
the final part of this song is a masterpiece
this is peak RHCP
BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM, LOVE IT.
One way traffic is my favorite so far
Here Ever After
@@vitorqro Yes. THAT should have been the lead single.
The great apes is dope too🤟🏼
@@squinteastwood4637 agreed!
It makes all the difference knowing that this song is about an elderly couple. Old guy with with braids and an old lady who brings her own pillow to a coffee shop.
The fact that Anthony saved this song for years hoping John would one day return is 😭
This is one of those songs we will still throw on 20 years from now, but just found it.
That's the exciting thing about a new Red Hot album, I'll be listening to these songs for the rest of my life.
@@GaugingGadgets same here man. This whole album is full of instant classics , these songs will stand the test of time
@@GaugingGadgets exactly! What’s been your favorite track so far?
@@trevor_corey8037 White braids and here ever after right now. What about you?
@@GaugingGadgets I’d say whatchu thinkin is my favorite so far.

This song is perfect nostalgia material for years down the line 😂
You are so right
Definitely
Awwww! I can really hear John’s beautiful back up vocals in this one! So glad he’s back where he belongs. ❤️
Yes, the jesus rejoining rhcp definitely resurrected them
The outro is the best part of the entire album... and that is saying a lot.
When I was 18 Under the Bridge came out and it's my favourite song ever, I'm now 48 and White braids is giving me similar vibes
Me toooooooooo!!! This song needs a video. 😊
I wish this song would never end
This song is one of the best ones they’ve recorded, just beautiful…
Yeah it's amazing
It really is a phenomenal song, perfection @@rainflowers1099
There's something so special about this song. The musical arrangement sounds perfect and it's so catchy
The guitar is so beautiful in this. This is the sort of creativity that makes chilli peppers so amazing, and my fav band ever.
It's been a while since a guitar gave me goosebumps like this
It's always John's back vocals that makes everything perfect...:')
This is one of the most beautiful chord progressions John has ever wrote, so heavenly!
And one of RHCP's best IMO
A very strange and beautiful chord progression by John. Love it.
It is beautiful
My favorite song on this album
it's so fucking good
That outro is so fucking beautiful.
It’s so difficult to choose just one tho
Best song.
This is a reason to live.
Forever lovin John.
I've discovered online that most critics hate this album and most fans love it. That means they're doing it right!! I'm a fan and I love it as well!
Agreed!
The critics are objective, many fans will still purchase this album, just to keep their collection intact, proof is in sales downloads etc, personally a big disappointment
Most critics have been liking this album from what I've seen. Not Anthony Fantano, but the real ones like Rolling Stone and pitchfork
@@brendanbarker6403 true but it‘s still a really good album. I also think the next one the get more Crazy with John Frusciante. He clearly held a little bit back in this one. It‘s just love between these 4 guys and not John making up some iconic Guitar Riffs like Can‘t Stop.
@@brendanbarker6403 Everyone is entitled to their own opinions! It's not for everyone. Like I said tho it really exceeded my expectations. I don't see what people hate about it really
what a beautiful song. The Peppers still got it
They’re so funny. Subdued, low key singles (that I liked a lot) and then a beautiful album full of creativity and so much frusciante backing vocals and guitar. They nailed it
John's voice so angelic, just hearing him in the background is perfect.
The surf rock is so beautiful this is a dream come true song!
i have to be honest. I bought stadium arcadium as my first album as an 8 year old. The first album i ever remember loving every damn song (and its a double album). Johns guitar on that album is what got me to pick up the guitar. I really started getting good at playing around the time Josh joined and IMY came out. Thought the john era was over indefintely. Hearing him come back in 2019 had me awake for days, in shock and awe. Fast forward 2 years and upon first listen to the album i was so sad that i wasnt connecting with the songs at all -- none of it sounded very good to me. I awoke the next morning and decided to play it back,........and its as if the songs i listened to the previous night had laid eggs in my head during that first listen. By morning the babies had hatched and they wanted to go back to their mother, and suddenly every song was infectious as ever. This album is such a great culmination of their past work its crazy. I wish i could see John live but I simpy cant afford the flight across country and th eticket prices. If RHCP want to sponsor me than I'd be damned lol maybe like this comment up the wazoo and see what happens loool. Love this band and especially this song is absoultey great. Amazed as always...keep on funkin forever.
Everything you said there is exactly my chili peppers experience lol
Nice broo
Almost the same exact experience, give or take a few minor details and a couple years or so of when I first listened to Stadium Arcadium (I was 10, I’m 26 now…)
Where are you? I'd get you a ticket
Damn all the same for me except I was 15 when I they released SA. Same reaction to UL. Its growing on me
Close your eyes and imagine you’re on a cliff side beach here in sunny California during the sunset, few clouds in the sky, playing this on your speaker full blast, your favorite people around you. Blissful.
Might just have to make these my Sunday evening plans !
And an ice cold beer
live right across the beach in santa cruz.. definitely gonna go light one up for this beautiful song.
I think is the best song written last 15 years
This band changed my life. I pursued bass and music for over a decade right out of high school, may not have “made it” but it turned me into who I am today. So many great memories. All because these guys made music together. So grateful
What’d you end up doing? Do you still do music for a living?
@@tobyhallitt7923 I did for about ten years but had to call it quits. I still play for the enjoyment, have a wife and house now and a great job that I love. Still blast rhcp!
Oh my god this song is forever infused into my soul it's so good!
Just keeps getting better and better
Hearing Frusciante's voice in the background automatically makes me smile
This Song is a living CLASSIC. WIll be remembered 2033 I bet!
I love the ending of this track. Santa Cruz in June surf the moon.
The outro of this song defines my soul. Those drums 😯😲 remind me of a Johnny Cash song. And Frusciante’s vocals omg so glad he’s back. For being the second guitarist, I think he really helped define their sound. Although it feels the world is ending, boy am I grateful I’m alive to immerse myself in this album. Makes it all a little better.
I love that outro, I've been listening to a lot of 60s surf music, and 60s west coast rock bands recently, and it gives me heavy vibes of those bands, amazing song :)
And you're right the outro drums sound like Ring of Fire I think
Boom-chicka-boom style!!!
I love the whole album, but this song is just stunning, and it gets better with each listen! That outro! Wow!
It's wonderful how each member has the same percentage of brilliance in this album.,
I was struggling to feel most of the songs in the album, but this song, especially the outro, hit me like a truck. I don't know what it is, but I nearly cried with it... it just feels so careless and melancholic...
It's amazing, I think this is up there with their best songs
Honestly same. This song just…hits different. It’s amazing
Man John’s verse part is perfect.
10 minutes after the album was officially released. I know this will be history. Thank you Mrs Rhcp❤
Thank you for the album. It's been long time waiting.... Love to see that our favorite Frusciante is back.... Yeeeeee
Yeeeeeeeetttt

Josh did a fantastic job though, LOVE Navarro too. Honestly I love them all. But yeah, John's definitely the man.
A song inspired by Anthony seeing a sweet couple in their 70s at a café and “falling in love with their love.”
My favorite song on the album 💜
Is that true? Where did you see that?
@@matthewmp111 I'm pretty sure he has talked about it in multiple interviews but check the one with Rick Rubin, which is very worth listening to either way
Damn it really took me months to realise how beautiful this song is
Saaaaame, this song is magical
OMG the peppers are zeppelin all over again!!! This song and the album is just unlimited awesomeness!!!
I showed a friend of mine this song who refused to listen to the album due to his distaste in the singles, his mouth dropped like 15 seconds in lmao said it took him back to the "good ole days" with their sound. I myself loved this album and it definitely gets more enjoyable with each listen; while its far from their best album it contains a very solid set of songs tbh
I had the same feeling hearing this song. I was underwhelmed with the singles, but once I heard about 20 seconds of this one--instant classic. It's one of their all-time great songs IMO.
this song it's literally the best song I have ever heard
What an absolutely phenomenal album. Feels like hearing them for the first time again, almost 20 years later.
John Frusciante is a master of backing vocals. His voice blends together with Anthony's so beautifully.
How does this song not have the most views out of the whole album
I think it's my favourite, beautiful song
Easily in my top 5 RHCP songs of all time. I absolutely love it
That's how I feel about One Way Traffic. Has one of the lower view counts yet to me it's absolutely brilliant and single worthy.
@@damonwillis3672 yeah, I also love that one, the lyric/vocal delivery are particularly cool on that, it has great momentum to it
Such a strong western style song! John’s guitar work is so intriguing! 🎸
Spotify told me this was my most listened to song this year. 240 replays thus far? Not surprised.
Trying to learn it on guitar, got most of it down and the chord progressions are just so sublime. It's like tracing the Mona Lisa. I know i'm playing magic and it sounds like it. You can play this on a ragged guitar and the notes will sound just as beautiful. God Bless John Frusciante. He's given me so much color in a drab, cold world.
Wow! Thats a beautiful comment. 🤘🏼✌🏼
i love this comment so much!! His music makes colors beyond anything i have ever seen!!
The best song from unlimited LOVE ❤
One of their most cute songs ever! beautiful, charming! You can tell this one is a Frusciante song
this song is prolly the best on the album and makes me cry tbh
Launch day, diary entry #1: Best song on the album probably. Still need moar listens.
Just grabbed my sunburst stratocaster, neck pickup on, firing up the FM3 to learn this song.
Copped a PS5 finally, landed new job, pre-ordered Martin 00-15. Life is good.
My favorite song on the album so far.
It's a new song, but it's become one of my all-time favorites from Red Hot.
This song is by far the best in the album
the best from the album
Think it's my favourite, the way the vocals mirror the guitar, and the outro is amazing
This is absolute gold, in spite of the unusual title, it has a twangy alt country feel or perhaps one of those old time beach or surfer films. Simpler times....
Choosing a favorite RHCP song is near impossible, but this might be it.
petition for there to be a 10-hour loop of the outro
I'm 16 years old and have been listening to RHCP for like a month. They are one of the few artists whose songs I can listen to all the time and I don't know why but I feel like I've known them for years. I am happy and excited about the new album. They have been making music for the past 4 decades without losing their authenticity and that says a lot about them.
check out their Blood Sugar Sex Magik album if you're new to them :)
My favourite song of the album by far. Such a pleasure to play it on the guitar!
I can't think of a better way than to spend a Friday evening listening and bonding with the new chili songs 💕 😋 love you all guys 20 years you are and always will be my favourite come home to ❤❤❤
For my it's Saturday Night but I feel the same way!!! 😊
I don't know why but this song makes me cry
was riding in the car with my partner and this song came on. halfway through the outro he just burst out crying and could not explain why. there's just something about it that can't be put into words.
My favourite song from the album with Bastards of lights and Black summer
I love The Heavy Wing as well
It makes me think about summer coming soon !! It has a lot of sunny vibes and makes me feel nostalgic and happy at the same time
This song shows that, if John wanted to create another song like "The Slaughter", he would.
Our lives are better when we have new RHCP music to listen to.
Simply genius. The climax of the song took me into an almost transcendental experience. There are lots of gems in this album. With their pure music which connects to the soul, RHCP stands out from many other bands whose focus is on loudness. RHCP forever! :)
That outro section is perfect, it has a surf rock vibe, awesome
This outro is out of this world
Oh my friends...this is a really beautiful song. After tough years...we have the family together again bringing beauty to the world.
Of course, it wouldn't be a RHCP album if it didn't say "California" at least once lmao ❤❤🌶🌶
The Blues transition near the ending is spectacular
what a lovely song. John's Chorus of the Guitar riff is back!
Stunning song the magic is definitely back..
Beautiful song, as good as anything they've done
@@rainflowers1099 Agreed
