it is fascinating to see so many old buildings were JA lived or visited, so well preserved. It makes everything we know about her even more appealing and real. I remember my first visit to UK, first in London and then living for a while in the Peak district in a small, old and very charming little town called Buxton. I will never forget seeing streets in London with 1600s old pubs, still functioning, or a 1000 years old castle as well as so many old properties that were so beautifully kept in shape, well restored. UK is one of the few countries like France and Italy that have deep respect for their historical buildings and it contributes to its fabulous charm.
this was such a beautiful and heartbreaking video on the life of jane austen. it's such a shame that she was recognized for her works after her death but nonetheless, i'm glad that her works are still appreciated by many till now.
This has been so fascinating going to all these lovely places she was. What an incredible person she was for her time & such a talent & imagination. Thank you. This saw fabulous.
Sie haben eine sehr schöne und angenehme Stimme , ich könnte Ihnen stundenlang zuhören.....Auch Ihre Beiträge sind sehr interessant !!! DANKE SCHÖN 💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹
I was so taken with the prayer by Austen in the church that I was going to write it down, but then a small voice whispered, “Seek me on Amazon!” I did so immediately (the video still being paused) and found the loveliest little hard cover book of all of her prayers for about $8.00 US! I’ve ordered it and will happily add her prayers to my devotions!
Absolutely charming….I love the Jane Austen telephone booth library. The literature of Jane Austen is timeless. Thank you for this lovely tour…a day maker to watch this.
I am completely enchanted by this Jane Austin videos by you. It is as if I'm watching a documentary on her. I've read her novels: pride and prejudice, Emma, sense and sensibility. Emma was the course novel for English literature in college of my sister. But she found it to be too much so I read the novel and prepared the complete notes for her. And ha ha ha... she passed. Thank you for taking me down the memory lane and giving an insight into the life of this wonderful lady whose era has always fascinated me. You are a magician.
I love Jane's novels! I have read them all and watched the movies made from them, she was an amazing authoress. So sad she passed away so very young, how many more novels might she have written for our enjoyment. Thank you Jane for your lovely stories of your time.
The novelles of Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters changed my life about 30 years ago and I really want you to know how much I appreciate your videos and your efforts to give us such wonderful impressions of their lifes. My english is not very good but I just want to say thank you.
Beautifully and sensitively filmed! Jane is one of Britain’s great novelists, and I’ve read all of them, so it’s wonderful to see some of the places she lived.
Jane wrote so beautifully about places in her books because she naturally lived in such wonderful places... your video is like gift for Jane Austen books lovers
I am a fan of Jane Austen and have been following your documentaries about Jane Austen for a while now. You have done an excellent work about the life of Jane Austen and her family. Your videos are clear and enchanting at the same time. Your works are much enjoyed and appreciated. Thank you.
These are lovely productions. Thank you for sharing. Gives me an opportunity to experience this beautiful history even if I can never make it to England.
I'm living in the middle east (Asia) and it is like a time travel video to me, I really like to feel this period of time, I have been read Jane Austen's book ''pride and prejudice'', she is also famous here, and because of her many movings, how sinusoidal life she has! Also unlike us, I wondered that u r keeping these old buildings and structures like exactly they were in the past!
Hello thank you enjoyed the video and found it interesting. We do like to preserve the important historical places which is great for next generation to see.
Love Jane Austen. Have watched documentaries, movies, mini-series of her books. Plus one of my emails is named after her. Thanks Simon/Will for posting about Jane.
So well researched, and beautifully filmed with stunning glimpses of beautiful English countryside. I particularly admire the way you present the facts around Jane’s life in such an engaging manner: I almost felt as though you were talking to me alone! And great choice for the accompanyIng music too. Many thanks and greetings from a new subscriber in Sunny Queensland😎
Thank you so much for this. I knew she had been unhappy in Bath, but didn't know they lived in so many houses there. It was quite touching that they ended up moving into houses/streets they originally rejected more than once. The final cottage must have felt like paradise in comparison.
Hi Lorri, Yes, we didn’t realise they had to move so many times until we started researching it for the video. Bath is a fantastic city these days, but the quiet village would have been a welcome change after the sad memories from her time in Bath.
@@MemorySeekers Oh, I know Bath is fantastic, but if you have to live in a fantastic place in a house or on a street you don't like, you don't feel so fantastic.
