Having the underside of his arm and the actual web wings be magnets might have been the best approach. Historically, every toy company that had given them a shot (even Hot Toys) ended up having them look a bit goofy. Maybe we’re just not there yet in terms of the technology.
@@jayguero2123I do think the reason why it looks goofy on hot toys and other clothes figure is because it looks very unnatural since the cloth obstructs the web wings to look naturally attach to suit instead of being attached to. I think marvel legends were able to pull off the web wings properly since those figure don’t regularly come with cloth
@@KalvinKoolAidKool The Marvel legends wings, as much as I love the mold and overall figure, are very annoying to deal with for AF15. It’s hard to pose the figure without them falling off is basically what it comes down to. Perhaps one of the few times I feel ToyBiz did the wings better than Hasbro.
already bought mine's, he's coming on Febraury, my definitive SpiderMan, since i love the 60's, Rommitas and Ditko's art. Great Review, cheers from Mexico.
Nice review bro. Early shots I seen of this looked horrible but you and other reviewers made me feel better about it. Hopefully mine ships soon. Just got my doom 10/10
Great review as always, Anthony! I'm still waiting on mine to ship, but I can't wait to receive it. I have loved all of the Spideys Mez has released thus far and this one looks like a nice addition to the collection. I hope they release this in the first appearance red and black as a PX or Mezco exclusive.
Excellent review omg!!! Years ago it was your blk costume Spider-Man review that got me into collecting Mezco, and now you drop a retro classic Spidey review ❤ This is a must-have. Thank You Batbomb 🎉🙏
Oh wow they fucked the paint apps up on that one head of yours! Hope they will work with you on that. I suddenly am reinvigorated to buy all Mezco I can through BBTS lol just to be safe
I'm really glad you showed him off. I don't hate him, but he's not what I expected at all. If he were 80-100 I might, but not at 120. They do such a great job with Batman especially, but so many including the 2099 figure. I will probably wait for perhaps a video game version. He's definitely an improvement on the original classic Spiderman.
Great review, nice to see your copy doesn't seem to be as baggy as others. This was a pass for me. Those seam lines are horrible. Being this was supposed to be comic style I would have liked to see the web effects get some lining to make them pop more. Once I saw it I can't unsee it, the civilian head with glasses looks like Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys
Have you experienced any issues with the vinyl like peeling or flaking or creasing? I don’t generally do a ton of dynamic poses but like if I want him to like be wall crawling or something do you think that would be a problem?
The way they did the stitching in the back is horrendous. I was so in with this figure but that 🤮… especially cos the images on the site they clearly removed those (look at the image that has doom in it)
Definitely agree it sucks but honestly, toy photographers already edit out their stands and shit, and the more I look at the figure the less the stitching bothers me tbh. I know that’s just me personally, but with the edit thing in mind I think that’s exactly their mindset, if it bothers ya just edit it out. Not as if when people shelf display him he will have his back showing.
@@FlipFlab I do agree with everything you said… im not a toy photographer and just display on the stand and rarely touch it but so it shouldn’t bother me this much. I think its the principle of it all, pricey figure, the did the previous one with lower stitching so seems odd they went in that direction
@@TMNT_Maniac_87 just seems to be something they’re stuck on right now. Black Panther has the same thing but it’s all black so I guess people didn’t complain.
Great review! There has to be a better way to accomplish the spidey sense...I'm probably going to cancel this order...looks small, suit looks baggy....accessories look amazing though
Great review but not to sound super gatekeeping, you mentioning “classic” Spider-Man instead of the more correct term “Ditko Spider-Man” made me cringe a little given how he was instrumental in making the character he is today, being how he was the original designer, plotter, writer, inker and co creator of Spider-Man. Especially at 12:00 because the eyes you prefer are John Romita eyes who is the artist that replaced Ditko once he left the company. The squinted spider eyes are as classic and early looking as they can get, objectively speaking.
web parachute can be used as web hammock too haha nice one mezco, nice one...
I wish we could’ve gotten the web wings that could snap on the biceps to fully give us a reimagined ditko spiderman figure

The Mezco No Way Home has the perfect wings

I was on the fence about this one, but after seeing this review I’m going all in thanks for putting out a great review!👍🏾
I think the newspaper is a tease that Hulk is coming soon 👀

You're still going to feel a little sick when you get it, bro. 😉👍
Congrats on #202, Anthony! I didn't have any need for this fig, but I dig the Ditko take on him.

Can’t wait to get mine. Still processing on the mezco site. Grt review 🎉

Picked this up from ageless as well I love it so much. Great accesories and articulation
The review is great but like always something
I personally prefer since is a 60s spidey background music from the tv show!!!
I got my hands on this on wednesday it is so cool
I have been waiting for mine. It took them FOREVER to send my gotham by gaslight figures.

W video as always btw love the figure.
Yess! Finally!
Well, if your old Spider-Man has all the fabric on his suit, there's hope that the new one will work too haha😅
Told myself I wouldn't get him but damn
Have you experienced any issues with the vinyl like peeling or flaking or creasing? I don’t generally do a ton of dynamic poses but like if I want him to like be wall crawling or something do you think that would be a problem?
I’ve seen one on a Mezco page with some creasing around the shoulders. But the person did really pose it up.
The way they did the stitching in the back is horrendous. I was so in with this figure but that 🤮… especially cos the images on the site they clearly removed those (look at the image that has doom in it)

They say snitches get stitches, and by the looks of it, this guy has been singing to the feds.
Amazing 8.5/10
God, I want mine to arrive so badly

Is the head a little big?
All their comic ones are lately.
@@piggyv4972 I hope that's not the case with Robert Pattinson Batman
Batbomb does that Peter Parker head fit the old Spider-Man figure?
How is the vinyl holding up?! Hearing it cracks and splits? For the F&L! First time watcher!
Which part cracking?
@@reiam69 the red. Shoulders. I have one now. I love him!
crotch rubs 😂 nice review anthony!
They should have used this buck for Robin.
Um...the Spidey tracer looks a lot like Mr. Fantastic's Ultimate Nullifier
I got one with a loose thigh hinge. Kinda disappointed about that.
❤❤❤❤
Does anyone know when green goblin comes out?
First quarter 2024, soon
Where did you get it
How do you replace the batteries for the led head
You have to pop out the ball peg from the head. It's kinda tight at first so it might be kinda tricky.

How much was it???
$120 MSRP. Shipping and taxes may vary depending on which retailer you buy from.
Another huge head.
I love mezco but this spiderman not it. His head is to big and that Stitching in the back is horrible looking
