laser cleaning in KTL paintlines

A typical problem arises in kataforesic paintlines where electrical conductivity is key to obtaining good painted parts in the automotive industry. The contact points are losing some 8% conductivity after 3 cycles. Installing a laser cleaning station to clean the contact point every cycle insures your painting quality. The jig must be paint stripped completely after some weeks in a traditional way.

Some painting process like in automotive industry use electric charges to make the paint particles attract and stick to the metal being painted. The metal parts sit on a jig as they get sprayed. As the jigs get coated in several layers of paint they lose their conductivity to the metal pieces being painted and need to be cleaned.
