API part doesn't make sense if you don't want a third party to use the APIs. Because server components can directly access the database, why do you need the middle API layer? The advantage of server components is missed in your tutorial.
1:05:13 instead of creating another file/component sir you just create a state that make the complete file a client component that downgrades the nextjs13.5 features and makes the code less secure and slow to loads
