- Morgan tells Brooke she is coming back to work at Forrester Creations. Morgan claims she will sue for breach of contract. Eric informs Stephanie that there has been a horrible accident in St. Thomas. When Steffy’s life jacket is found the damage seems to indicate she was attack by a shark. Ridge and Taylor are in shock and denial.

Hunter Tylo was very convincing here. That's a very realistic reaction. 😢

They zeroed in on Hunter for the reactions because they knew all Ron could give was the same old Ridge face 😂

It's a good thing we have Stephanie in this storyline to rescue it.
When you travel to the islands you’re most likely to go on a boat. I mean seriously that’s why you go ,is to be on and around the ocean.
The show has _literally_ jumped the shark.
It went overboard.
The first time you wrote about that jump( for the python) I had to google it 😊.
Oddities often disappoint the viewers especially if the characters are so loved. There was no need to overdone with them. They've always had the best chemistry in family and daily routine scenes. I suppose those writers didn't get it.
What I would like to know is if the writers changed completely after 1999. There is a big change in Tridge's relationship but also in BB as a show.
I think the last time I really loved them was during their second marriage at the beach house. If only this channel would let us see the other missing seasons..
Hunter and Susan were so good in these scenes.

He never knows how to act appropriately (or at all) in the moment
He just looks like he has a little gas.
Katherine really is the fucking worst nanny ever. First she falls asleep on the job, then she wakes up and never bothers to check for one of her missing charges, and for her denouement, she sees her employer having a screaming, hysterical meltdown and decides to *bring the kids in to witness it*.
Next episode she's crying more than Taylor...

I am not surprised that they didn't fire Katherine (yet). She has been the primary caretaker of the kids for a while, the kids are attached to their nanny and they are already suffering and asking for their missing sibling.
But I am still surprised that we got to see Taylor shouting at the search and rescue guys, who did just their job and when Taylor had misunderstood that _We have found _*_something_* matter, when we didn't get to see Taylor acting that way with the nanny, who had fallen asleep and had lost a child while doing her job.
SF is superb as always. Even her face and neck became red when she heard the bad news.
I always would get so afraid she’d have a heart attack lol. She gets so into her scenes.
She made my eyes water, much more than Taylor (and Taylor was actually doing a pretty decent job of being hysterical and in disbelief)
Agree. SF can convey so much emotion just by the look in her eyes. Stephanie's reaction was way more powerfuI than Taylor's (and yes @Trish I agree that Taylor did well in the life jacket and t shirt scene).
Morgan was beyond cruel for doing this to the Forresters. She was just as evil as Sheila by this point.

I'm surprised Taylor didn't have a heart attack. I'm usually not a fan of Hunter's overacting, but she did really great here. Ronn Moss, on the other hand, might as well have said "Oops my daughter was eaten by a shark."
They just want Stephanie to have another stroke don’t they. Even though it seems that they erased that from the time line.
Brooke and Rick are actually quite similar, in that both went out and brought someone into everyone's life out of trying to be spiteful (Brooke brought crazy Morgan to spite Eric and Ridge... Rick brought Deacon to spite CJ). And then can't get rid of said person after they cause havoc, and act like none of this mess was actually caused by their own selfish and spiteful behaviour.
They also both seem to be having "contract trouble" with both individuals...
So Morgan had a _contract?_ I'm sure this concept will completely bIindside the Forresters. It is the one thing they could never see coming. 😂
They wrote that in because they want to keep Morgan in Ridges orbit while torturing Taylor.
Ha! If a contract serves the plot then there is one.
Contract is troubling the Foresters once again , they had that problem with Brooke and the Believe formula
Even this contract beat is retroactive and happened off screen.

Morgan took Steffy cause she knew she was the favorite of Stephanie. All leading up to the accident it was Ridge and Taylor talking about how much Stephanie loved Steffy, she took her just to hurt Stephanie extra. I still wanna know how the crew member who took her knew her from Phoebe. 😂

Terrible storyline. And unnecessarily wrenching to make Ridge and Taylor think, not only that their baby had died, but that she'd been ripped apart by a shark. Brad would never do that to Brooke.
Agree. Taylor touches death way too often. Either she dies or one of her daughters die.
And also when HT's real son Mickey died Brad Bell had her playing the death of Phoebe!😢

And…they made St Thomas, a place of loving memories, turn into a tragedy. Seems like long term foreshadowing of TRIDGE.

The issue is not why they were not with their children (they can afford to have a baby sitter during a trip with 3 kids that was also supposed to be romantic ) but it's why they had a boat ride to the 🏝️ at night with the fog..
I've been asking that same thing last episode. Who carries 3 toddlers on a boat at night? And in the fog?
When they got to the island that night, what... were they going to sit in the dark and fog all night?

I know this sounds crazy to say about a fictional show that I watch for light entertainment and heavy snarking, but I don’t know if I’m going to make it through this storyline, guys. Watching Morgan makes me literally queasy at this point. She is so unreservedly evil and totally non-compelling at the same time that I just want her off my screen. I know we joke about her being Y2k Sheila, but Kimberlin Brown somehow always drew you in and made you want to know what made her tick even at her most evil.
I don’t want to watch the characters suffer through this, and maybe Hunter Tylo is killing this, I don’t know - I just can’t stand to listen to this screaming anymore. I probably shouldn’t bring personal stuff into soapworld but I lost my older brother very suddenly, without warning, the summer after I graduated high school and he was home from college (he had a brain aneurysm, something genetic, nothing we would have suspected). My mother was the one found him and her scream was what woke me up from sleep. I think I’ll remember that sound until my dying day.
Maybe that’s why I’m having such a hard time with this storyline. I don’t know. In any case, it seems unnecessarily dark and awful and cruel. And they’re still writing these lines for Morgan like we’re supposed to feel sorry for her. I don’t know. Does anyone think maybe Sarah Buxton was banging Brad on the days KKL needed a rest? That’s the only explanation I can think of for giving such a weak actress so much screen time.
If I dip out for a while when the storyline gets to be too much, I’ll still enjoy your guys’ comments.
Morgan's devolvement to stealing Taylor's baby (and having Taylor think the child was eaten by a shark of all things) is unnecessarily cruel actually. I'd have preferred if Morgan had just kidnapped Taylor herself or something.
I get that they're trying to create a villain to replace Sheila on the show (they haven't had a proper villain in a while), but Morgan is no Sheila.
I also found Sheila (in her early days of the 90s) to be very compelling as a character. Even if she was doing mad crazy stuff like kidnapping her own mother at gunpoint, or poisoning Steph... The actress somehow managed to pull off villain without becoming unbearable. Morgan's just unbearable and downright annoying.
What a colossal loss for you and your family! 💔I can’t even imagine that kind of pain and how you have to live with that memory you described. I don’t know what I would do if something like that happened to either one of my brothers.

It would have been more obvious (but not more boring than this sl) if Morgan had sued Taylor for her fall and her baby's de ad causing trouble to Tridge for a while.
Yes, the problem is that Morgan is not a compelling enough character (and the actress is not compelling enough either) to be a good viIIain. She doesn't feel sympathetic, but she also doesn't feel diabolically evil in any entertaining way. She is just... there, doing this horrible over the top thing and managing to somehow make it _duII._
It's impossible to take her seriously. After the scene where she chewed the note Taylor gave her, now I'm just picturing her swimming around the Caribbean with a plastic shark fin on her back, chasing little Steffy and chewing at her life jacket. In my mind that is totally how it happened.

But Morgan had a unique position /contract from the start. Brooke has hired Morgan and given her creative freedom over that line (only having to answer to Brooke), when Brooke knew that Eric would totally be against it (payback for the Venice scheme).
