Incredible Landing over the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas Delta Airlines Boeing 757 (Winglets)

- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- This flight was to landing in Las Vegas after a short hop from Salt Lake City. I had never been landed over the strip in my life, which was very rare to me. In my past flights, planes usually landed in the normal runways than landed over the strip runway. It was so amazing that I saw the Ferris wheels and many places in the strips. This approach was tricky because landed over the buildings than the other side. Enjoys!
Please comment and rate on my landing video.

Flying to Vegas this Sunday all the way from Kentucky can’t wait😆
One of the few landings that are actually better at night
@@frankgrimesification That doesn't even work. lol.

N627DL What a great aircraft. Flew it from ATL to PIT in December 2014. She will soon be retired. How sad!!!
I'm landing their tomorrow. SO FUCKING EXCITED. This 21st b-day weekend is going to rock
Nicholas Gieschen ... So right about now you're hating life, brutally hungover and dehydrated with a severe headache...? Vegas Rocks. The flight there is always better than the flight out lol ...
finaldraft151 that is so true. I just got back in town early this morning. The flight back was horrible. I didn't get any sleep
+finaldraft151 my flight out was strange it was to Atlanta and it only took 3 hrs and there was turblelence the whole way
+The Gaming Czar - Yeah, it's the Vegas punisher - The flight in is as smooth as glass - Departure: Might as well take a freight train home. Nothing but turbulence and loudness lol - And I don't know what it is about the TSA in Vegas at McCarran - They have got to be the most rudest group of TSA 'agents' in the 50/USA - Karma for the 48 hours of debauchery you just engaged in.
I think it's the fact that when a lot of people are leaving Vegas, their either Hungover as fuck and will be rude as hell. Or there depressed cause they're now broke from gambling, lost their girlfriend to someone better on the trip or All the above.
I was just there last week! I recorded myself in a plane landing at Las Vegas during the night time!
Lots of put downs about this video. Maybe it wasn't as electrifying as some felt it should have been, but it was very clear and well done. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it!
Hats off .........
This was the same air strip we landed from Detroit. The landscape was amazing!
Vegas only has one commercial airport, so anyplace you're flying from would use this airport. There's an AFB and two general aviation airports (North Las Vegas and Henderson Executive), but McCarran is the only commercial airport.
Going there on thanksgiving! Can't wait!
coming here in May from Detroit 😁
Very nice. You will be enjoy there in May. Stay Safe and keep mask on
I was on a flight into Las Vegas in 2018 that landed on one of the 26 runways with a strong and gusty crosswind from the south. The pilot handled the crosswind well, but it was a wild approach and I wondered why the airport wasn't having planes land on 19L or 19R (as in this video) when wind is from the south. On my way out of the plane I asked the captain and he said that controllers avoid landing planes on the 19 runways when they can because Nellis Air Force Base (visible in the background at 1:15) is to the north. Controllers have more airspace available east of Las Vegas airport to sequence planes to the 26 runways.
Tom Ace Interesting and thank you for the comment
Best words to hear: "Welcome to Las Vegas"
I agree 100%!
Absolutely!!!!!! Haven't been for 4 years!!! I miss it
@@beckypeters5449 me too, that's why my best friend and I are going in May.
Casinos can wow u or ruin it!!!!!
@@polarbear353 me n hubby too in May for my birthday! Good luck!
Love that landing runway
Thank you
Landing at night is 100 times better
imfixintoo yes it surely is
I got married in Vegas, then decided to move here, no more winter for me!!!
How is that working out for you?
I'm moving from Commiefornia in a couple of years and am NOT bringing California crap there!!! I'm bringing my guns and conservative votes!!!
@@drof2th You understand Nevada is democratic state lmao?
Yes, I do realize NV went Democrap! But it is FAR better than CA!!!!!!!
Ron Young someone’s triggered
I went to Vegas a few months ago and I really miss it a lot
Jordan Rinaldi, I was at Las Vegas last year and loved it too. Both them AND Detroit beat New York City.
jordan rinaldi my Wife and I go once every year , and as soon as I get home I’m ready to go back.
I live here and I’m 12 yrs old
I think I saw Howard Hughes waving at the plane
A famous person waves on the plane?
It's 4 days away and when I first found out I was going it was 9 months away!!!
I just landed with Southwest. The approach was very nice from the east, but the landing was very bumpy
Thank you for the comment. Nice you flown on Southwest and bumpy on approach because of the wind in Vegas
RIP Hard Rock Hotel @ 3:40. I once spotted planes on this approach pattern from my 10 floor room there that faced Paradise Rd. ..now to figure out that "hotel" /bldg at 3:49 just before the runway.
Of all the gifts technology has given us the gift of flight has got to be one of the most underappreciated and taken for granted.
Omg, in the landing by the end, it just made me remember Las Venturas of Grand Theft Auto 😂😂 The producers really took the essence of the city in that game.
Yeah GTA was a best game
Las Vegas was a hard Landing
You've seen the living dead of night but nothing can prepare you for what happened during broad daylight Pringles Original BBQ.
One day land at night
Now this was niiiiice!
The first time I flew to Vegas, we came in that way from Denver. I looked over at the strip and thought OMG. I have been back many times. I love Las Vegas. Thanks for sharing your video.
You and me both.
@@alexalexander1268 And me!
Best convenient city
As opposed to the Vegas strip in Fairbanks Alaska?
Jon Diego Not sure
*🙋Agree... Beautiful weather, great visibility, no apparent turbulence... aircraft flown by a professional crew... DELTA is IMHO a 👍great airline...*
*I don't mean to be dismissive... but what's so "incredible" about this landing.??*
I fly to Vegas about every 90 days .
It's incredible every time !
Can you direct me to the incredible part of this very routine approach and landing?
HaHA. that's funny shit
Steve C bb/
The scenery.
Lol 🤣🤣
Obviously you have not flown into Las Vegas at night time even the daytime as in this video for that matter is incredible for myself coming from the Midwest for the first year living in Las Vegas every time flying in the there felt like a movie.
Landing "over the strip" huh?
Nope, not even close, albeit, you can see the strip off your right side but NOPE!
Okay
Where going there March 26
diaz family Did you have fun?
That’s pronounced Lost Wages.🤪
"Welcome to Los(t) Wag(gus), be sure to keep your seatbelts fastened and your soon to be gone slot machine money in your pocket until the aircraft reaches the gate and the seat belt sign and financial security is turned off, thank you"
Flyin... the ONLY way to go...wen the plane dont crash!🤣....would be nice!
Never crashed lol
zzzzzzzzz...... zzzzzzzzzz... how INCREDIBLE.......
love landing on 19R or Left especially at night, very rare though unless its really windy
Gonna be taking that flight in 3 months. SO excited
alex shedlock Nice. You will be enjoying there
I'm going to Vegas Before Christmas
@@makaylaprincess3883 Nice! I bet Vegas can be cold in winter.
me too flying out on Sunday
How was it
reverse thrust begins at 4:05
This video is a video, thats about it. I live here in las vegas, do this video with a night flight
Off to nose and a bit left Mount Petosi sight of Carol Lombard’s crashed DC - 3 .
All crew and passengers perished, aircraft still there, flying to low for terrain.
Never known Dc-3 crashed there
The guy who recorded this video wrote: "I had never been landed over the strip in my life" - So that means it was incredible for him to fly over the strip. I bet some of you guys were expecting to see a landing on the Las Vegas Strip like the one from the 1997 "Con Air" movie with Nicolas Cage and John Malkovich 😁 😂🤣
Tekmat Sharp thank you for the comment
N627DL continued to service until January of 2022. What an incredible career! Great video!
Yes on legend B757 and made a plane tag collection
Well..... I was waiting for the approach to runway 8R for the landing “Over the Las Vegas Strip” also known as Las Vegas Blvd. Instead I saw Henderson, Whitney Ranch, Boulder Highway, North Las Vegas, Flamingo Rd., University of Nevada - Las Vegas, Tropicana Avenue and landing on runway 19L.
You should change the title of your video.
Jeffrey G thank you for the comment and yeah the approach was rarely landed over the strips than normal landing the different runway
Paul B 'KhunPaul' - Travels & Aviation No worries Paul! Happy New Year to you and your family!
Jeffrey G Happy New Year you too
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Las Vegas. Please keep your seatbelts fastened and soon to be gone gambling money in your pockets until the aircraft reaches the terminal and the seatbelt sign and your financial security is turned off, thank you"
Nice one 👍🏼
Man, what an incredible skyline of a city.
Going tomorrow so happy
I am flying to Los Vegas in August and I hope we can go on the ferris wheel that showed up in the background.
I'm flying to Vegas in December I'm soexited
if everything goes perfect, i'll be traveling to Las Vegas this february :)
U want a cookie???
@@amiehiggins2541 people get excited about certain things. This guy was excited about flying into Vegas. I had the same excitement as him a few years back. Kind of like how you get excited about being a bitch. Now you should understand this guys statement clearly.
Great video! LAS is always a great place to land with usually a nice easy decent down and great views to boot.
Delta 757-200 Spot her everytime !
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Have we landed yet? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
x-plane is so cool
Hallo Hooman, going to Las Vegas 9 months later is easily better than immediately because it's best NOT to be in a hurry to do things.
Have fun In Vegas on 9 months later
AMAZING indeed! An actual Delta flight attendant sounding polite (and human)...and you could actually understand what he was saying. Simply Amazing!
Thank you for the comment
Ok
Cool video. Thanks for sharing.
Dyno Don no problem
Shoutout broken down Delta Airlines!
Amazing video! I've been in Vegas at least four times already, but never by plane. How long was the short flight from Salt Lake City? Thanks for sharing!
Veronica Fleitas your welcome. It is only one hour from SLC to LAS
Has anyone else landed on the less used runway? Can’t remember which heading but the two main runways are east to west. Then there’s another going south to north ( not exactly in those directions)
My mom lives in Pahrump. I fly from Oregon.
One times we flew over Pahrump and kept going south then made a hard left turn into the city.
Just curious.
My sister is a flight attendant for United. I have flight benefits with them but I fly southwest going to Sin City.
1-22-19
I've landed on the 19's several times, and even landed on the 1's a few times. Not as uncommon as you would think.....
Mondo Duke well, I mean I know the other runways are used everyday but anytime I ever been there I have always noticed the east to west runways seem to be more heavy then the near north to south runways.
4-7-19
Mondo Duke one thing I have noticed at least every time I have been at the airport is those Area 51 employees planes use the north to south runways every time.
4-7-19
Definitely a different approach from north to south usually its east to west...they must have thought your plane was a janet flight from area 51.
David Mayer when I came from LAX, it was south to North. Tampa was east to west. Sea tac was east to west and Colorado was east to west.
Yeah from SLC
Welcome to Fabulous LAS VEGA$!!
Or a s Clark Griswold would say, Fantastic Las Vegas
Would be ok. But vegas is a shit hole..
If I ever go to Vegas, I'm just going to ride the High Roller observation wheel and maybe to watch one of those Cirque Du Soleil shows, but I don't even want to set foot in a single casino because gambling is bad!
Such a great view from up there.
You didnt fly over the Vegas strip so you should change the title. You flew parallel to it though. Glad u got over 200k views though. Good job.
Thank you
I see this view when I visit my mother who lives there. I loved watching this. Coming home.
This is the only airport I know that is bigger than its city
TJWAviation
STEVE GCUEVAS PBR
TJWAviation well.... not anymore. 2 million people in Las Vegas at the end of 2018.
And the only airport where i can loose 200 waiting for my luggage
@@beckypeters5449 and on a bad day, your this luggage too
TJWAviation yea for real. It’s a beautiful airport
Funny title: like where else would the Las Vegas strip be other than Las Vegas.
It is actually in #ParadiseNV
Landed here may 2nd 2021. Thought the plane was coming apart it shook so bad
Very windy on approach?
@@pbateson yeah sucked. Scared lots of kids. I didn't like it as it was my first flight.
It's one of the rare approaches into LAS, but since the runway that typically handles most of landings is closed for reconstruction (until Summer 2015), it's a new view of landing.
I saw, recognize Paradise rd and e harmon ave (watch for mgm building) and e Tropicana ave from the Web I must see sin city 😎😎
Welcome to Las Vegas.....)
You will be monitored 24/7 In a basement room with 24 TV wall monitors, Aria surveillance operators will pore over footage from high-definition cameras, 360-degree-view cameras, pinhole cameras, infrared cameras and license-plate recognition cameras. Aria will store the digital recordings for at least seven days.
The pan-tilt-zoom cameras attach to traffic poles and casino roofs will provide law enforcement with surprisingly clear footage of tourists traipsing up and down the boulevard. The footage is stored for 14 days.
PLEASE ENJOY YOUR STAY !!🇺🇸
please dont shoot me but I think the security in las Vegas is delightful.
you can come out at any time, day or night, carry and use your phone or camera at any time and place with out fear from thieves.
i dont know but for my family and I ....feelts fine, I dont have any issues with that level of security.
by the way...I LOVE Las Vegas.
So?
all thanks to muslims & saudies
Not if you stay in your house don't need to worry about cameras. The strip is 1 of the safest places to go
Yep, welcome to Vegas!!!!!!!!
Always a bloody loudmouth spoils these videos. Pretty bleak landscape but worth seeing
Thank you for the comment 👍🏼
@@pbateson Yes I did enjoy the video very much comment was about the loud speaking person when coming into land I love flying but hate hights if that makes any sense, thanks for sharing your excellent video
Did Elvis really have his own floor at Ceaser's Palace?
Not sure. I had never been to Ceaser’s Palace
That engine sounds raggedy
PERFECT! ✈️ 😁
At 1:00, does anyone know if that is the west side of the valley (Summerlin) or east side (Sunrise manor)?
Looks like the West side. My mother lived on the Summerlin side of Valley.
Over means, "over" or "above," and not one to two miles east of the Las Vegas strip. Just saying.
That's a great view when landing from the north,
Also, it's a great experience when the plane takes off heading to the north and made a u turn heading back to LAX, you'll pass over the hotels.
That was really cool. The sky wheel was just being built last year when we were there. My husband and I go every year for our anniversary. This year we were unable to go due to our tornado we had one year ago. We will be there next year for our 20th anniversary.
You can also see Nellis Air Force Base off in the distance (lotta scenes from Top Gun shot there.)
Actually they were shot at Fallon NAS which is up north, which is where Navy fighter weapons school or "Top Gun" is now, it used to be at Miramar NAS just outside of San Diego
Touched down across from the pyramid
Yes approach to The Strips was nice
What a great view of Vegas.
Harry Reid runway 19R is quite often in use depending on the prevailing winds... nice video, thanks.
