Okay, yeah, this isn't very much like a superpower battle. When you put it like that, she probably does deserve some ribbing. Still, if I'm honest, I'm kind of tickled by that. To me it feels very "behind the scenes". Two real people, behind the masks, operating not like a hero and a villain, but as... someone catching another person just sneaking up on their house. The opposing values remain, but they're acting more like themselves, saying things they'd never say in front of their teams. Ehhh, the truth is I probably didn't do enough to create that feeling. I wanted to draw her in her PJs, but I also wanted people to recognize her clearly as a supervillain in the thumbnail. So yeah, naturally, people click expecting a telepathic superbattle, and then raise an eyebrow when gun comes out. In terms of practicality, though, it makes a ton of sense! She has to isolate in her home to protect her sanity, which means her home is the one place she has no mind puppets to fight with. Hell, I'd keep a gun. (I would make a terrible villain, though.) Thanks for the comment. You made me think about things I hadn't considered.

She doesn't seem so much villainess as she does bitter. TBH, I've always found the idea of being in the presence of a telepath a bit unnerving. The pretty ones would probably slap my face within seconds after I look at them.😆 Cool audio my Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
This script is perfect for you. Your imposing voice is perfect for her in control personality and your soft kindness are perfect for her gentle moments. To me this is where you shine, gentle authority or maybe loving strenght. I got to say you also did a great job with her monologue.
Great performance! You could really feel the frustrated anger that comes from dealing with the worst aspects of humanity. Giving me some big Justice League Tabula Rasa vibes and I absolutely love it! Gotta say, I understand the jaded disdain for having to hear humanity's worst impulses 24/7, but I'd really hope the hero can show her that that's just what they are, impulses. Here's hoping the hero can help her see the better side of people's conscious thoughts, and not just the selfish subconscious ones.
Something about a deep, husky voice just goes well with villainy. And I think I also tend to make my villains softer than a lot of people, which is a little different from usual, and some people like that. I'm glad to hear enjoyed it! Thank you for the compliment!
I must say I find this entertaining. In this hero world, it appears that there is not that many telepaths. Despite being on opposite sides, the listener and villian only turn to each other for comfort. One hears depths of the evil thoughts in people's minds and shrieks in horror. The other hears the same thoughts and is impressed on how people control their inner demons.
I'm very interested to see where this goes! Love the inflections this character has, and that neither the speaker or listener just folds to the other (not that there's anything wrong with the trope). Love the sound design, and the shock in her voice when her expectations get subverted. Hope you're doing well Nightshade

Telepaths who go out into the middle of nowhere and talk to each other because otherwise they’re just blasted with noise? The heartbreak in her voice at the realization of how physical touch was denied the listener? Amazingness. And of course, the implications of the future of their relationship. “Intimacy for telepaths is a blending of the soul.”
I can understand why hearing all the awful things people think might lead someone to believe that people are beyond redemption. But, as someone with ADHD and OCD which causes me to be prone to intrusive thoughts, there's a massive difference between a thought popping into your head and giving that thought consideration. And there's an even bigger difference between that, and acting on any of the innumerable "what if?" thoughts. People suck, they really do, but you can't stop the brain from thinking. I wish I could sometimes

Of course! I just mean to say that it's okay to lose interest after hearing it a number of times. When I know a script is popular, I go into it with full understanding that it may get fewer views. I'm still going to do it, because I think my vision of it will be cool, and it's something that should exist! But it's perfectly valid to be disinterested in the 11th version of the same story, and to choose to pass over it. And I'd never take that personally, or as criticism that I did something wrong. 🩷
Being an empath myself and able to feel/control to a degree the pain of others as well as feeling their emotional state & some surface level thoughts, I have a... complicated relationship with touch. I guess it's part of the reason why I sympathize with scripts that have the touch starved tag in general: I want that physical touch, but that just aggravates what I can already feel from someone else. I guess what I'm saying is that this script *_definitely_* hits close to home

I did this one by typing out my initials in different fonts and then moving them around, along with crown shape, until something caught my eye. Lost the Q, I figure the crown represents the queen in my name. Reshaped the letters and the crown into a workable shape, and here I am. I don't know if it's the best thing ever, but I like it. I usually don't listen to other artists' renditions of scripts written by others that I have also filled because I am so critical of myself...one upside to writing my own scripts...but I'm very glad I listened to your version, Queen. I learned a lot from your acting and pacing. The sound effects were immersive, and your acting was great. You have such a unique voice that really paints a picture of the characters you portray. I loved how your villain definitely sounded like a villain but the transition from enemy to another human who understands what the listener feels impressed me the most. On one hand she is an angry vengeful character, but you also showed a kind of tough-love motherly side of her that I never thought about in my own version and you executed that naturally and clearly.
You say that you’re disgusted by the animalistic thoughts that spring up in our minds. But I believe that these are completely normal in any streams of consciousness and it’s the thoughts we act up on that matter rather than those we instinctively conjure up and discard. But I still can’t believe the darkness that we can reach into, but that’s an aspect we have to ultimately embrace.

I always love it when the speaker is an older woman. I can't help but find that thought comforting, and I dare not tell you why. On the condition that she not take any lives whilst we fight together, I would probably join her (despite my morals and ethics both aligning with and contradicting her own). We could open the eyes of every human to the truth, starting by showing everyone each other's true intentions. Normally I would not suggest this, but it has the added benefit of making them understand that telepaths live in a perpetual state of torment. Charles Xavier can somehow use the pain and thoughts that come to him from those within close proximity to become stronger. I may never understand it, but hopefully these characters will. And the listener desperately needs it. I know I would, having been touch-starved for what feels like an eternity.

Hmm, I don't know. I mean, I definitely don't agree with our villainess here, she's got so much wrong, but I do think it's my responsibility to do my part to change humanity for the better. My reach may not be that great, but I can influence the people around me, and I've got this little platform where I've apparently fooled a few people into thinking I know some things. 😄 And I think making people happy changes humanity for the better, just a tiny drop in the enormous bucket, really, but it matters, ya know?

I agree with that, you cannot force a person to change. You can either show a person the unforseen benefits to change by introducing a new perspective, or you can make the change beneficial if it's not already. Anything that is forced upon people will be dropped the instant they're no longer being forced to do it, and to be honest, reducing the use of force to get one's way is one of the changes I would like to influence into the world. If that makes sense. I'm not sure I'm wording very well.

At the end of the day a gun in a story is a plot piece as her powers were weakened. I kinda like that it's not always swords or magic.

Hmm, I don't know. I mean, I definitely don't agree with our villainess here, she's got so much wrong, but I do think it's my responsibility to do my part to change humanity for the better. My reach may not be that great, but I can influence the people around me, and I've got this little platform where I've apparently fooled a few people into thinking I know some things. 😄 And I think making people happy changes humanity for the better, just a tiny drop in the enormous bucket, really, but it matters, ya know?

I agree with that, you cannot force a person to change. You can either show a person the unforseen benefits to change by introducing a new perspective, or you can make the change beneficial if it's not already. Anything that is forced upon people will be dropped the instant they're no longer being forced to do it, and to be honest, reducing the use of force to get one's way is one of the changes I would like to influence into the world. If that makes sense. I'm not sure I'm wording very well.
