These are great. I am attempting to do a complete switch to all APPLE Products. Been slowly working with pages and numbers as opposed to Word and Excel. Excel / Word being so deep in the business world that I wanted to see if it is possible and what the best practices are. I am finding some incredible features that are tied to the echo system that making working with these products a pure joy. I am wondering if have a link to KB short cuts for Numbers? I was using all KB shortcuts excel which makes using the products much fast. Lastly any recommendations of resources for advance Number functions for doing Data Analytics type work?
You can create your own keyboard shortcuts in Mac. You just need to enter the name of the menu item and create it. Here is the formulas page to review. help.apple.com/functions/mac/5.0/
Great video!! Any new improvements from a year ago? Can you run the orientation the opposite way easily, so companies are on left side? Keep up the great work!!
The stock function itself remains the same. You can set up your table with the symbols on the left hand side in col A. With the remainder of the selected fields in the additional coils. Once that is done the formula should be modified to ref stock A$2,name. Once this is correct you can copy and paste to the rest of the row. You will NOT receive the desired results, each cell formula should be changed to reflect the stock item you want. When all are correct just copy and paste the row to the remaining rows and you should be in great shape.
Thanks. Two questions: 1. How does the Stock formula define price? The formula Help states that it gives "The share price of the specified stock at the market close of the previous market day". That's clear EXCEPT 'price' comes in multiple versions: Ask, Bid, Mid. We can rule out the Ask price (which the formula notes defines as "the price sellers are willing to accept for the stock (the offer price)" because the "Ask price data is currently unavailable." Can anyone please help clarify. 2. Does anyone know where the suffixes are listed (e.g. for the Amsterdam exchange .A .NL .AM. .AEX none of these seem to work?). Adding .L to stock symbols works for shares traded on the London Stock Exchange.
The formula uses yahoo finance so it should update whenever you open and or save the file. If it’s not updating I would make sure the formula is correct. Most finance pages are required to have a 20 minute delay. At least it use to be that way. They are not real time updates.
@@APPLE1TO1Ahhh I’ll give that a try. I know before it was just giving previous day close I will try it tomorrow after MLK and see if it updates after 20 min Thanks! I will post again if it worked
It's incredible in 2024, but it only updates at close market. Absolutely useless for achieving productivity. Unfortunately, it remains an app for making grocery lists...
So I personally check my stock every morning so I get an idea how the day went. It’s not the ideal use if you are checking it all the time. That’s why you have stock apps for this.
Like I said in my original comment This does not update period!! It will only use previous day close For the record I did everything correctly how do I know this cause when I entered initially it gave previous close and no matter how much I opened and closed spreadsheet it stayed unchanged Please do not post things not true
So you have to understand that we are humans and we make mistakes. We have added an asterisk to our description text to make sure everyone is aware of that. We apologize for the misinformation

My gut is always investing in something you always buy or a product you really like. I always visit Texas Roadhouse and order Zevia. Texas Roadhouse paid off, Zevia hasn't but my gut is it will in time. Start with a brand you been buying for years.
Well, some things you migh try be interested in looking at is an E*trade account some fees may be involved when buying and selling so you should find out what these are before committing. Also, Charles Schwab has a no fee robot tradeing that has been profitable for some folks that I’ve met. Whatever you do, make sure you research before investing. You may want to use a spreadsheet that we went over and just track some stocks for awhile to get a feel for the process
Hey, Thanks for sharing these useful tips, but I wonder If I can pull the specific date of the close prices and make it a stock prices log!!!! TYSM
That might be a manual entry. Not sure if excel does that. 😊
How do you calculate annualized return using the date purchased? Thanks
Here is the formula: www.investopedia.com/terms/a/annual-return.asp
Magic - thank you, this is very useful.
Thank you Magic
What about other stock exchanges
There is nothing to suggest that other markets are part of this. We only found the US market.
Can I use this procedure in numbers app on my iPad? Thanks

how do i get the date time of the stock info?
There is a stock template that might be useful. I see it does a daily option that might be helpful.
on my spread sheet the price in the formula drop down menu was not automatically put in beind the heading I clicked
Using =stock(symbol,0) where the 0 references price is faster. Try any number to 25 for different data fields. E.g. 11 will give the 52-week high.
i am not able to add indian stock (NSE: Exchange) ,can u help me, how can i add this stocks
Did you find any solution
@@ajtajt6962 yes i did
I am moving to Numbers very soon. This program looks to be much better than Google Sheets which is lacking in features.
Sheets is good for the basics. Simple things. I would never do an invoice or tracking stocks on it.
how shall I apply this to Indian stocks? Numbers is not picking up their name.
I researched and I cannot locate an answer on Indian stocks. They use Yahoo Finance. If it's there, should show up. Unknown about Foreign Markets.

Thank you. We haven’t looked into improvements on the stock side. We can look into this question.

The STOCK function returns data from the previous market day’s close about a given stock, retrieved remotely via the Internet.
Pretty sure it doesn’t update automatically! Why do you say it does it does not.
The formula uses yahoo finance so it should update whenever you open and or save the file. If it’s not updating I would make sure the formula is correct. Most finance pages are required to have a 20 minute delay. At least it use to be that way. They are not real time updates.

I'm new to trading how can I make more profitable investment in market now
Donna Patricia is the key to robust profits. I'm currently trading with her also. Started off with a low amount and now my portfolio is unbelievable.
I strongly agree with you guys, Donna's team is the best, My funds are safe and ROI is always sent directly to my external wallet exchange monthly

On peut dire que cela n'a rien d'intuitif voir que c'est même incompréhensible.
Ok!
