i have had mine for 6 years and you have to choke it first when cold. starts every time by the second pull. after the ist start it starts on the first pull evry time all day long. i replace the plug every year. best trimmer ever
Made in Japan or China. Been using Tanaka's since the 80s and 90s. Weed trimmer still working beautifully one spark plug change in 30 years. Tank has a crack. Bought another one 340. Plenty of power and not as heavy as yours. Only by the ones made in Japan
Great video. Thank you! I have an opportunity to buy a new (old stock) Tanaka TBC-430PF. It is the same as this but has the bike handles. Just wondering if you still have the trimmer and how you like it almost 4 years later? thank you!
thank you very much for getting back to me. Would love additional videos and/or recommendations about the type of head to put on or anything else you suggest. You seem to be somewhat of an expert. I appreciate it!
The line in my "brain head" on my Tanaka TBC-430PF keeps going in. Do you have a suggestion for a different head made either by Tanaka or another brand that would work better? thank you!
Michael Mengel I am pretty sure I have the tanaka 5 inch tap head. The “Brain” head was the worst design I have ever seen, never worked right for me. I took it off so fast I forgot it came with it
I do agree with your evaluation. its a good machine otherwise, but that brain head, waste of time. It makes me really wonder if they ever did any prototype testing. However there is a 500/ 550 /600 they all carry the wing handle bar and harness..
Had one for 16 years....never a problem and it has done a LOT of hard work....
