    As the author of this video, I want to note: My solution (via this spray) is likely only a temporary fix. However, I've sent two of my 6 joycons to Nintendo for (free) repair, and after over a year / 4 months (different 'cons), the joycons remain in great working order.
    Therefore, since as of this posting, Ninendo offers a free repair/return, I recommend using their solution over the spray solution.

      Just making an ogoing update; I've had a total of 3 joycons repaired by Nintendo HQ-----all of my joycons continue to work perfectly after getting the official Nintendo repair.

    For a Wii U Pro Controller, if you can't afford the cleaner, then just re-sync the controller so that it correctly registers where the joystick is seated.

      Its definitely worth a shot. But for my WiiU Pro controllers, this wasnt the issue. I have 3 of them, and all 3 demonstrated a problem of sensitivity---really only noticable in Smash, but you couldnt dash correctly. The cleaner fixed this. It was as though the WiiU controllers were getting un-sensitive to the difference between hard directional inputs and soft ones.

    i know that this is 2 years old now, but my wii ccp (classic controller pro) is drifing, would this also work?

      Interesting question. I never had this problem with original Wii controllers. I'd say it's worth a shot, given that nintendo doesnt support Wii repairs anymore (i assume)---so what do you have to lose? The internal components of the WiiU and other controllers appear to be similar, so if micro dust is the cause, maybe will work. Post back here if you end up trying it?

    I have a Wii u pro controller and I wouldn't say it has drift, it has this weird problom with the left stick where it stops while I'm still holding the stick (specificaly) up and sometimes moves to the right but when I leave it alone nothing happens, can that still help?

    Hi I wanna know if your Joycons have been drifting again after doing this video

      So i think i applied the fix in April 2019, and as of today (Aug 2019) they are still fine. I think one might be drifting a TINY bit, but nothing i can document. So, so far, its working great.

    Hello, thanks for the Video. What should i try next If this didnt worked?

    • @unoclayGaming
      @unoclayGaming  4 роки тому +1

      well, I'd say that if this doesnt work, contact Nintendo Support. There WAS a point where joycon fixes were free--you mail it in to them--but not sure if that is still going on or not. I did it with my original controllers and it took about 10 days to get em back. NOTE---also, i use this spray as seen in the video, but i admit, its somewhat temporary. At least one of my joycon began drifting again a few months later, and needed more spray. So----maybe Nintendo fix is permanent?

    Can you do the same thing with wii u gamepad?

    • @unoclayGaming
      @unoclayGaming  3 роки тому +1

      first, do you have drift in a gamepad? Never heard of it! I've played 100s of hours on my WiiU, and never drifted. I did have some senstitivity problems in my WiiU pro controllers that was entirely fixed by this method.
      Second...i dont know if you should try it on a WiiU Gamepad. Reason---they're already getting rare, and expensive to replace. Nintendo no longer repairs WiiU, so....its a risk. if its drifting bad....i mean, why not--but its a risk. Havent tried it.

    Irrelevant, I tried this on my controller and didn't even fix it. And to make matters worse, the back buttons no longer work because of the cleaner. If you see this comment, DO NOT BUY THE SPRAY.

      Hey! It says unable to find you, are you sure you have the code right? Also, send a message to Gavin or Sophia (via telephone) and ask them to forward me your cell contact or email (either is fine, email is often better for me but whatever). We can take this off the youtubes ;'] I know you are excited to try DS together; I may want to hold off a bit until I get further along to where you may be. I love a good multiplayer experience but I also really love the haunting mysterious aspect of DS. However in the meantime id be down for some blugeoning in Smash or teamup in splatoon or something else. I live pretty near to Gav/Sophia (a few blocks, about 5 min) away; you?
